Well, you have plenty of time to read my stuff...providing we don't have a zombie apocalypse first! I have the same problem with reading. When I got to the shack, Joey Brand was out front, holding a flower. A lily, actually - a large white one still on the full stem, leaves and all. He was holding it almost solemnly, gazing down at it, as if he wanted to take a sniff, but didn't quite dare. I paused to stare, and then to grin. What goes around, comes around, right? It was with this little bit of wisdom in mind that four gay friends decided to put their heads together and get back at some guys that had been giving them a hard time. The plan they came up with was wild, and a little dangerous, and certainly offbeat. That it was funny only made it even better!

Great fun! All you need now is a Rupert of Hentzau and a Black Michael, and you'd have a classic! No...on second thought, I think you have a classic, as it is!

Very nice work. It's not particularly easy to tell a decent tale in verse, and you pulled it off with excellence. The dreamlike quality is especially appealing, as are all dreams that make you sit back and sigh, and wonder. Thanks!

Glad Sean turned up. Sad, about the guy at the bar, thinking he might spend his evenings like that, alone and asleep next to his beer. That's not a life. There are a huge number of people out there that actually, really, love someone enough not to be put off by their sexual orientation. For every horrid story parent that slaps a gay son squarely in the face with the bible and tosses him out on his ear, there have to be balancing parents that hug their kid and say that everything will be okay. The human race is still around because the forces that bind us have some balance, even if not alway apparent. I had not considered at all that Mike Hamlyn might be gay or bi. Just that he loved his grandson enough not to disown him based on his orientation. That should be enough, shouldn't it? The third Door story has already been started, and is perhaps a quarter complete. I had to leave off it to complete something else, and just haven't gotten back to it yet. But it will come along, eventually!

People are who they are, no matter what kind of face they try to show the world. And trying to force others to toe the party line, while often briefly spectacularly successful, has ultimately failed consistently throughout human history. At the end of the day, the only life you can live is your own. The two biggest drags on human happiness are people who cannot be themselves, and people who want everyone else to be just like them. If we could find a room large enough to cram them all into, they might cancel each other out, and then the rest of us could live in peace.

It's an interesting idea. There'd either be an explosion of some kind, or a very fun story!
