This is possibly the most powerful paragraph you have written in any of your stories: ”It was easy to assign cancer with intelligence. That was the trap. It was a horrible disease, but it was not evil. It did not hate anyone. It attacked the old and the young with indifference. Males and females got it equally. It didn’t care if you were good or bad. It simply was. No one got it as a punishment. Nor would any beliefs give you any protection. Bargains with God or whatever you believe in did not work. Promising to do or not to do anything if you were spared didn’t work. Blaming your lack of faith did not work. There were many testimonies of that happening which told me if was almost constant. I had to make sure Tony didn’t fall into that mindset. My part in this was focused on Tony. As his caregiver I had to keep his morale and spirits up. Keep him positive about this fight. I also read that it was equally important that I keep my spirits up and positive. Many times I read where the caregiver gave so much they forget themselves. Sasha, David and the other family members were my support. I even knew professional counselors were needed in most cases. I could not let Tony down.” Bless you!

What awesome timing to have a Thanksgiving chapter this week!

I had a good friend who tried that with a BMW sports car back in 1996. He was going to his 10th high school reunion and asked if he could stay at my place. That used BMW Was pretty, but wouldn’t start the next day. He borrowed my jeep to go to his reunion. No one noticed. They did’nt bother to go out to the parking lot. 😆

I don’t know how I missed this little gem of a story. I have carefully read or followed every one of your others. Thanks for the great break. This was a wonderful, uplifting story.

Damn! I had the pleasure of being away from this story for a couple weeks, so I just binged every chapter since 12. This is so much more fun when you go through 13 - 20 in a single reading. I think my adrenaline is pumping! 😄

Ok, far be it from me to disagree with an actual Brit… but to state my case, I took my team to a restaurant for a Christmas celebration dinner and they had an amazing jazz singer from London who was quite fervent about saying Happy Christmas. But after your comment, I assumed she may be a fluke. But now, all these days later, I’m watching a Netflix movie called “Carry-On”… please don’t judge me on my taste in movies at 10PM with a full bottle of wine in my system… and there it is again. A comment about Brits saying Happy Christmas, and why don’t we, in America say that? 😂 Happy New Year! Can’t wait to read your next story!

I don’t want to be political, but after last night, reading this really brought a lot of emotion out of me.

Great chapter! It made me think, if I were going to try to save humanity, I’d put the smartest people on the Ark also, but think of all of those people involved back on earth. Doctors, Psychologists, Professors, Scientists… picking the people who were smarter and more capable than themselves. How humbling and maybe even maddening to think you were at the pinnacle of your career and called in for your expertise to select someone… better than you to live. How crazy is that?

I could be wrong, but I feel the timeline is off. Haven’t they spent a significant longer time in Stasis than 100 years?

This series is fun! Just wanted to throw that in without digging into details. Now more please!

Wow! This may be one of the side stories that I’m going to be most upset about never getting the conclusion. Still, a great read. Action-packed excitement… plus a glimpse into Natpea. Think… Bruce Lee’s “The Way of the Dragon” as he builds this final confrontation against the character played by Chuck Norris. The build-up is akin to a duel from a Western, ramping of the anticipation as Lee’s character, Tang is battling Norris’ character, Colt. And just as Tang reaches up and rips out the chest hair on Colt… the movie ends. Ugh! Yeah, that’s this story. But still awesome!

Wow! This may be one of the side stories that I’m going to be most upset about never getting the conclusion. Ithink I still have a few more in Comicality’s collection to get through, but this on is going to be hard to top!

Oh man! This one would have been a blast to see finished. 😞

Oh man! Soooo disappointing that Com didn’t get a chance to take this one further! Wow! He was something special.

I know I’m going to be left with a cliff-hanger at the end, but this was an interesting start. I’m particularly amused with Soren. He seems more intelligent here than in the GFD regular series. At least, so far. 😄

I think I can see where Com was going to take this one. I just can’t decide if he was going to go dark and have Winston and Jacob added to the charcuterie board or if Winston was going to be offered a chance to fix the loopholes that were allowing people to access the V frequency. Oh well, another great start to an unfinished story.

That was a wild ride! Great story. Sadly, it’s now up to our own imagination to know the rest of the story.
