OK... with @Mawgrim's suggestion, I'm tethering my phone currently to use my laptop. I have a new router which I haven't bothered to install. I'll try that tomorrow and see if it makes any difference. Otherwise, I'll start trying to get an answer out of Vodaphone (my ISP). Thanks for your help, @Myr

I am currently unable to access GA from my laptop. If this continues into tomorrow, regrettably there won't be an Eric chapter. As soon as the situation changes, I let you know. OK - latest news. Having tethered my phone to my laptop, I've got the latest chapter ready. It will post tomorrow afternoon as usual. 🤞 I may be a little slower replying to comments as I hate using my phone to type answers.

Just tried with Firefox and got exactly the same issue. Neglected to say earlier, access on my phone is via external data. When I switch to wi-fi, I get the usual issues. They're both with the same provider (phone data and wi-fi).

The site address still showed https even when the 'not secure' message was evident. I've manually updated Chrome, cleared my browsing history, and done a Google search for GA. That link which is current and showing https still gives me the time out error. Tried on Edge earlier and got the same thing. I guess it's at ISP level but I don't understand why it's only affecting GA.

Doing this on my phone. I've been unable to connect to GA on either my laptop or tablet this evening. Both Chrome, laptop Windows 10. My attempts to connect are timed out. On my laptop, beside the web address, the site information says 'Your connection to this site is not secure'. I've tried deleting cookies, rebooting, but it hasn't helped. The full web address still includes https. I guess it's probably me but any suggestions would be appreciated. All other sites are working normally.

Thank you for this description. I love the way the second half turns things around. True. The Romance category for this story is more to do with Andy and Adam (everything else is Drama). But I think readers hope for a Hallmark ending. Mine tend to be rather more open-ended. 🤨😄

Clothes maketh the man? I don't imagine Eric will be spending the same amount he spent on the jacket etc very often. But yes, being out in the world more has changed his perspective on clothes.

I don't think that's fair. Yes, Eric recalled Rob well after such a long gap (don't forget he couldn't name Rob for quite a while after he spotted the other man Leominster) but I don't think he 'lusted' after him. Yearning or a need for a connection with someone like him is more like it. Rob wasn't introduced into the story as a love interest. I know a number of readers have wished for that but it's not my intention.

I beg to disagree. Rob is fairly typical of one sort of gay man of his age. Some will be married, others not. Some will be playing the hook-up game. others, not. Being somewhere new was an excuse to hook up. He doesn't in Herefordshire, partly because there isn't any scene to speak of. As a volunteer, he doesn't get paid for the mentoring work he does. He may not be perfect but he does take his work (paid or otherwise) seriously.
