You don't have to worry about my imagination, this story is pretty well laid out plot wise it's my motivation that'll hurt it more than anything lol.

The winner of the contest mentioned in Chapter 7 was @Philippe and his question was How did Josh come about having this AI capability? So he's in the know of what Josh actually is, and man what a long reply to explain it, it was. Thankfully the answer gave nothing away (if you can believe it), so may this chapter fuel even more questions. Chapter 9 is already well on it's way as well, and shaping everything that follows nicely.

I haven’t forgotten about this one. Chapter 12 through 14’s drafts are done I need to edit them and get them posted. ive been working on them along with Encrypted, both stories are so different they’ve been giving me the break from each other as I go lol. Actually I totally did forget. So that intern is actually an intern. I needed a staff character to monitor Josh because they aren't just going to let him go out by himself to fall on his face without help being close by. So sorry for that unintentional red herring lmao.

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying this. This is my first attempt at political intrigue or whatever super-secret-government-coverup-investigation story even though these plot lines are my favorite. There's been multiple works I've pulled from to create this, all here on GA. The 'Do Over' series by dkstories is one, 'Circumnavigation' by CJames is another. I've also been inspired by Josh Aterovis and the Killian Kindell Mysteries that he's currently posting to GA now (although I do wish he'd stop killing the characters i fall in love with 😂 I'm totally shaking my fist at you Josh! <3) I have no idea if this one will be as well regarded as the above. I don't even know for sure how long this story will end up being but I hope it does contribute to GA itself in some small way. Now for this one thing I didn't want to mention. You guys are so good at picking up on details but I've noticed there was a huge friggen detail I left you guys in a previous chapter that no one has quoted or commented on that could change the discussion in the comments dramatically. It's not even that well hidden, (at least to me. lol) Now I know that's going to cause a few people to reread everything because you guys are neurotic about that, and I'll turn it into a contest. For the first person who finds what I think you've missed and quotes it in the chapter comment in the chapter it's in, I'll PM you and I'll let you ask one question you really want to know the answer you're just dying to know even if it's a spoiler and I'll answer it in full detail without ruining the rest of the story. Not sure if this kind of thing has been done before but we're about to find out! There's a reason for everything that's going on in Josh's head and your curiosity is kinda close in figuring it out. As for his distaste to the FBI is it because of a previous encounter or is it something else. As for the baddies they had a mission to complete the night of that accident, is that mission complete or is their new information. You'll get to know more about the Kincaid family and their backstory here soon.

I appreciate that, one flaw of mine that I have is sometimes I try to rush myself towards the end without fully exploring the 'here and now' of what's going on. Some of the stuff I've mentioned already could have waited a few more chapters but I don't think the CIA can survive that long with their computer network messed up and since this is a multiplot story some sub plots will last longer than others.

Yeah Adam is going to be something. Josh so far hasn't interacted with anyone in his age group and I think Adam is going to definitely be the tour guide to everything Josh is missing just like he promised. I have a feeling he's going to be the instigator that will notice Josh's 'black ops' side more than anyone else kind of like "Wow, what else can you do? Can you fly a helicopter? Drive a car? Do you think you've killed people? If so how many people do you think you killed, what kind of people do you think you killed? Can you kill with your bare hands? If you could would you? If you were to accidently beat up the mean kids in school, I'd totally give you an alibi" lmao

There actually was a couple of red herrings in this chapter which yall picked up on, a little mis-direction never hurt anybody lol. You raise an interesting question in your comment, "how long before they go back to the scene of the accident," and is there "more to be found at that location." The full details of what's going on with that car haven't been fully investigated, VSP probably treated it as "too fast on a slick road" initially but even Daniel noted there was another set of tracks that didn't line up so ... who knows. Part of me has been vague on it on purpose, I just haven't decided yet.

Thanks for that! I can guarantee this story will still have all those aspects of literature we're used to seeing, just amped up. I mean I haven't even come close to introducing the love interest yet haha. As I told @weinerdog in a comment a while back I'm going to stuff as many story genre's as I possibly can while still keeping it reasonably stable. So you haven't seen it all yet!
