  1. @Krista Don't read the first third of Chapter 2 when I post it and take it personal. Because I have a feeling your going to read some of it and think, 'wait a minute...' Oh god what have I done.
  2. Bro with chapter 11 of Encrypted + the 3 unpublished chapters of "Black Sun" a story no body has seen yet, plus the 2 I wrote for this one. I'm at like 37k words written for like 8 chapters. Oh oops. Yes that's right chapter 2 for this mess is already done lol. So at some point lookout for: I'm Gay: A Nifty Story - Chapter 2. My Closet Had Better Lighting Than My Future
  3. I'd like to think this is angst, but not with real melodrama. The "Well shit, the building's on fire but I've still got to get to class." kind of angst. Not whoa is me but "here we fucking go again" lmao. This is literally like those "Not another..." comedy movies, like "Not another internet gay romance story." I mean come on the "a nifty story" bit, you know where I'm going with this 😂
  4. Yes! That's generally why I do this so if something becomes emotionally difficult I can switch lol.
  5. This comment made me laugh because yeah, disasters in the making attract attention. You just can't help yourself.
  6. Probably all those tropes plus a few more.
  7. I warned you lmao. We're going full throttle.
  8. Life is never bleak when you just don't give a damn lmao.
  9. Yeah more is coming. and thank you!
  10. I'm at 12 on this one right now in the planning phase. So uh we'll see what happens. And if anyone's keeping count I've got 4 going right now, there is one that's sitting with 3 unpublished chapters. That's why Encrypted took a while to get it's latest chapter lol. I'm a hot mess, trying to bang out ideas before they get lost.
  11. I KNOW AND I'M SORRY! 😭 This story is going to be trash-tastic. I'm pumping genre's into "Encrypted" now I'm pumping story tropes. I can't help myself. I have issues lol.
  12. I just want to say, everything in this dumpster fire your going to read is all @Inkognito's fault lmao.
  13. Hi, I’m Skylar. I’m sixteen, gay, and trapped in a high school satire where every internet trope you’ve ever read shows up with glitter and trauma. I’ve got a closeted jock crush, a cheerleader nemesis who smells like body spray and hate, and a best friend who hands out condoms like Tic Tacs. This story has locker room angst, hallway drama, and possibly a car accident that isn’t that serious but still ruins everything. It’s messy, dramatic, and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
  14. Hi. My name is Skylar Montgomery, and this is my story.™ Hollywood wants you to think coming out is this sweet, glittery montage, soft smiles, rainbow bracelets, maybe a tearful hug under string lights. It’s Nick and Charlie whispering "boyfriend" on a beach while acoustic guitar swells in the background. In reality? It’s a series of slow-motion breakdowns stacked on top of generational trauma, emotional repression, and parental expectations so high you'd need an oxygen tank to meet th
  15. I know several have been waiting for the Greg Kincaid side and I couldn't put it off any longer. Since this is my first story of this nature, I gotta tell you keeping all this stuff straight in my head and in notes is complicated lol.
  16. Sorry for the delay guys, been working on a so far unpublished project along side this one. This Chapter was shorter, and more walk and talk than anything else but it's time to move things a long a little bit lol.
  17. Washington D.C. FBI Headquarters – J. Edgar Hoover Building Greg Kincaid’s office always smelled faintly of old coffee and printer toner, ground zero for dozens of half-solved disasters and one rapidly unraveling enigma named Joshua Quinn. The door shut behind Special Agent Theo Raines with a quiet click. Greg barely looked up from the forensics report on his desk. Raines stepped forward, holding up an evidence bag with gloved fingers. Inside: a small, brushed metal device. Thumb-dr

    Chapter 7

This is turning into a rolling dumpster fire that just rolled into a soviet area nuclear warhead that hasn't been maintained in a while. Can't wait to see what blows up first.

    Chapter 6

Good god the tension. It made me groan and curse in a couple of places. Friggen Jack, friggen Noah and poor Nick stuck in the middle, unsure which way to flip. I love it.

    Chapter 4

That point right there I know well. I was born and raised in Texas, I'm fifth generation in fact on my fathers side, the family has been here for almost two-hundred years. So I am well aware of that cultural, religious and generational aspect. My parents never got to know my secret because my mom died when everyone was way too young (including herself) and my dad died at forty-four when I was sixteen (yeah that would probably be a story in itself.) I never got to come out to either one of them. I can tell you though, I knew my dad enough to know that had I told him, he would have thrown my ass out. That totally would have happened. But I also know that he would have gotten over it eventually. My mom on the other hand, if she was anything like her older sister which I'm told she was, would have been a different story. I have a very good relationship with my aunt, and she still worries about me even though I'm in my forties. When I finally did come out it was a mixed bag, people who I thought couldn't take it ended up doing so quietly, we didn't talk about it but the love was still there. Others wrote me off before I was born so it wasn't a huge surprise. It's absolutely hard to judge who would be accepting and who wouldn't. It's just is what it is.
  21. I’m not even going to try to guess. I do hope it’s a good turnout for the event though, these are always fun to read either way.
  22. Damn that’s a high praise. lol I’m glad you are enjoying it, I’ll probably start posting over the weekend again. It takes a minute to write these chapters and I usually do them in batches.
  23. This is totally what happens. The solution to a problem suddenly becomes a new problem because someone didn't continue the thought of the original solution to eliminate the problem before it became a problem. Wow. That was a lot of problems.
  24. I just got done rereading the @dkstories for probably the third or fourth time, I highly recommend it. Test's of Blood by him is probably one of the best Valdemar fanfic's I've ever read and I'm pretty particular about those (hence why I've never tried to write one. Although part of me really wants to do a story of Valdemar mage type magic running amok in a modern earth setting lol) I've never really done fanfic myself but I remember when Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out (the book not the movie) I was disappointed with it. I almost wrote my 'Harry Potter and the Prince's Pawn.' but I could never get it out of my head and by the time I thought it seemed like it was too late. Great dive @Myr! Plenty here to build my 'to-read' list.
  25. That's actually pretty cool Topher. I'm in the process of starting over from scratch in reading the series again, and it's been a long time since I've done so, I can't wait to see what you come up with once I make it that far.
