I think Caroline was just throwing a bluff out there and wanted to appeal to George's soft side to get some sort of settlement. But looks like it has backfired on her for the moment. George not responding to her is going to send a message for sure. Wow! A gift of a parcel of prestigious property next to Lord Spence, along with £150,000 to construct his new London residence. That is some gift for sure. Before George heard about the £150,000 , his mind was working away and he wasn’t sure he wanted to spend the £100,000 or so to construct something that would rival Spencer House. Now he may very well not only rival, but exceed his friends house. I know they will enjoy living next to each other. Thanks for the Chapter Mark. Keep up the fine work!

I was scratching my head trying to figure it out myself! With the math the US students have been taught the last few years. I bet they can solve it someway somehow!!!

Thank you. Didn't Tony Curtis have a kid with his last wife when he was on up there in years? And Frank Gifford had kids with Kathy Lee Gifford in his later years too.

I didn't realize Arnaud was anywhere near that age. I thought he might be tops early 70's. It hasn't been many years since Christian was married. I thought he was in his 20's then. But I don 't know if it was ever said how old Christian was when he married. I may have just assumed. Or Arnaud was still shooting very active quick swimming sperm when he was in his 70's. LOL!!! I have had some buddies in their early 80's that were horny old bastards, but do know if their sperm was could even swim any more. I hope Charles realizes right off that his life is only going to get a lot better now. I really am enjoying this story.

Another great chapter. Look forward to the next one!

Well written chapter. I like how Will has the respect of Grand, his Dad, and Jake that they really just stop everything to come to support him in times like this. I wish that Brad had added also besides what his group analysts had found, that he had found out from some "in the know" people information of who Travis' real father might be. My money is on Curtis' Dad. I just hope that Travis can keep safe until either he turns 18 or reinforcements appear at his side via Will's and his family help. Thanks Mark!

I am glad that Charles has not got a passport to go live in America. I bet his is soon going to be adopted. I hope it is a long time before he has to make the trip back to France. Would be great if Arnauld would at least stay strong as he has gotten since seeing the angel until the entire family comes back for their annual trip. Like that all the boys that have gotten to meet Arnuald can be at the funeral along with Armand and Colin.

I kind of thought you was. And also it made me think how funny it would be if she showed up pregnant again. You talk about a shunned and disgraced woman!

I think getting off the plane in LA would be the riskiest thing that Travis could possibly do to get killed. That would be where Buck would have his cronies looking out for him. I agree him going on Escorial and just staying there, or getting Jp's and Stef's input on best way for him to stay safe. Maybe letting Buck know that Travis has confided in some powerful people that he suspects he is in danger until he turns 18. And I am sure JP, Stef, and Brad can stress to Buck that they are also and have shared their concerns with other powerful judges, government officials etc, that they bump elbows with. If Buck knows his is in their crosshairs he may have second thoughts. Thanks Mark for another great chapter.

Very good chapter! Claire got fucked and seems to be in a good place. John and Marie seem to be in a good place. Brad admits him and Jake are in a good place. Now Travis on the other hand isn't. I kind of had the feeling a few chapters ago that Curtis Buck may not be Travis' real dad. Now I'm really feeling that he isn't. With Brad saying maybe he wasn't, means he may be doubting it too. I wonder if it may be someone we know. Or could Curtis own father may be Travis' real dad. Travis may have to confront his mom on some of what has been happening and press her if Curtis is his dad. If she see's that Travis may be in danger, she may fess up. But Travis need protection either thru his trust, or Will needs to see about getting it for him.

Great Chapter! I don't remember when Carl and Model Boy meet for lunch. I must have missed that earlier. I feel that the Bluebird with keep the 14 year old boy entertained and less lonely until Gabriel blows his horn. I think Arnaud is going to be very pleased with the painting.

I bet GG knew the boy loved Bluebirds and she wanted the boy to have something of his very own and put the idea in his mind. So I think the bluebird was for him. It is aways hard to know and see a loved one in their last days alive. It is even worse if they are suffering which Arnaud doesn't seem to be. He is just fading away and giving up. Maybe a solar panel somewhere around the mausoleum that is inconspicuous. Great chapter. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated CLJobe!!!

Great Chapter!!! I love the pizza analogy! I is so good to see Will and his dad enjoying each other and getting along. You can see that Brad is still a little nervous about some of what he says, trying his best not to rock Will's boat in any way. But they seem to be getting along very, very well. Claire seems to be getting some control of her situation. And seems to be enjoying her trip so far. This trip may be just what the doctor ordered. Travis may need to lay real low until after his 18th birthday. Will may need to arrange some protection for him also. Can't wait for next chapter. Thanks Mark!!

@KerridocIt is a a Great story. It was my favorite of all on GA for a long time, but the "Bridgemont" series by Mark Arbour has now taken over as my favorite. It has over 1.8 million words and is still going on. Another sea story, but more on a historical type story. If you haven't gotten around to it. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!

I think it is a Great Idea for Claire and Brad and even Jake fly over for a day or two. for the spa and surfing. Hell wouldn't Suprise if Stef and JP might even come over for a quick trip with them and stay at a resort for a day or two. Marie points for Will to stay and go to school in the Bay area were some of my thoughts last week except I hadn't thought of the one about the Foundation. A really good point. Another Great Chapter Mark. Thank You!!

Thank you so much for this chapter Mark. I was about to give up hope. This truly is my favorite of all the GREAT stories on this site. One that I hope will never end. But we all know it eventually will someday. I know everyone one else that loves following Granger and all his exciting journey's through life feel the same. I too hope His majesty wants Granger and Daventry to call upon him tomorrow so that both will be advanced in the peerage. And that it will mean that William is also. I would like to be a fly on the wall when George's brother and sister-in-law hear this if it were to happen. It seems that George is going to be home for a while, but I prefer him out at sea. I do hope George has enough support from the Cabinet, Parliament and the Crown, that Lord St. Vincent will not be able to hold him back from another command of a ship or class of ship. St. Vincent was known for some of his innovations at the dockyards. Maybe after hearing more about some of Granger's innovations he had added on his past ship commands he will actually sit down with him and implement them into both new and up-grades to refurbished ships. He may see he was wrong about George and the benefits of having George as an ally than a foe. I can't wait until the next installment is released. Keep up your great work. You are truly appreciated.

Where should Will and Marie go to College?
pickuptoy replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
I think they both should go to school at Stanford, but I really don't think that it is important for them to go to school with each other. I really don't think Will would be happy at Harvard, Marie might be happy there, but think Stanford would be a better school for her. Will loves to surf way to much to be that far away from it would make his time at Harvard go by really slow. And with JP and Stef both being right there to help mold him for the future. JP more in the leadership part and Stef in business and investments. And I also think Will and the Old family money crowd at Harvard may really clash with each other. Just my thoughts. -
I am glad Will is moving back to Ottawa. I have been pissed with the last book because it seemed like he had abandoned Peter. Peter was someone he thought of as at least a younger brother if not a son. And Peter relied on Will so much. I hope he is re-introduced in the upcoming chapters. Maybe Andrew took Peter under his wings, but you would have thought he would have at least been mentioned in the last book. Keeping my fingers crossed.

When I made that comment I was reading CAP in order. I wasn't trying to be a spoiler!

In the beginning of this chapter you kept referring to Ronnie as Donnie. Ronnie and Julie are married. If I remember right Donnie is one of the younger boys, maybe in his early teens. I was hoping the young lad might kind of take up with Ronnie and that might be the first of his many he will end up adopting. The beginning of his football team.

Thanks Mark for another Great Chapter!!

Well shit! I don't care for Zach at all. I don't want him wo weasel his way back into Will's life at all. But I am now pissed at Will for being so damn childish to even pay someone to slash his tires. They may not have been the one that torched his truck to start with, but still I thought he had matured a lot more than that. Claire is going to have a tough road to get back in the goodwill with Marie and John even if she doesn't go Craig, which is very doubtful she will move away now. I guess we will just see where this tale spins.

My thoughts too! I believe that he knew that Lady Kendal trusted Brookland and he himself felt that Brookland was doing a very good job of managing her estate! I don't feel like they are romantically linked in any way. They are both just looking after her best interests.

Thank you Mark for the Great chapter that we have all been waiting for some time now. And it turned out the way that I had hoped it would. I just didn't know it was going to be a funny of a reading as it turned out to be. I loved how Lady Kendal commented in her will to her brother the Duke, her nephew, and his wife. And especially and to her sister Lady Gatwick, "I send my bona fide wishes that she rot in hell.” I had just taken a sip of Merlot and almost choked on it when I read that. Remind me. Is Granger's grandfather that was the Govenor over one of the Caribbean Colonies still alive. I don't remember him passing away since George saw him that time he was in the Caribbean years before. If not I think George will probably get the biggest share of his wealth too in the future. George's Mom may get some of it too since that was her brother. I just can't remember if he has passed on or not. Funny how we got the two most anticipated events in a while the same week. The reading of Lady Kendal's will, and the Board meeting of the Foundation. Great timing. Can't wait until the next chapters.
