He knew that Mark was going to post us a chapter for New Years!
-
I believe Toby was still 14 in the first book. I think it is only a few weeks or maybe a month or so later than what the first book and this third book and well before Ralph and Nolan come on the scene. I think Russ mention in the first chapter of this story about Maurice just getting the business from his father and trying to get invited to some of his parties. So he hasn't come on the scene yet like he did in Book Two of "Ralph Breaking Lose" So Toby should still be 14. I thought when the first book started he was Toby was 15 but later on he became 14 and still was by the end of book one. Anyhow sounds like it is going to be a good birthday for Toby. Thanks @Robert Hugill for the great story.

This third book seems to be just as good as the first two. Maybe Jasper when he is off sailing with his buddies will get lost at sea. Thanks @Robert Hugill for the great stories you bring us. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and you have even a better New Year!

Like everyone else thank you so much @Mark Arbour for this Christmas present you have brought to us. Very good chapter. Granger got to remanence of some of his past treasured and painful moments while touring HMS Belvidera again. That was great. Keep up the Great work! When I opened this chapter, like always first thing I notice is the date. Feb 09, 1802. That was my Fraternal Grandmother's birthday. She was born exactly 100 years later on Feb. 09 1902. She's been gone 30 something years now.

Great Chapter. I was surprised that Paolo got to Escorial as quick as he did. Both Carlo and Paolo are big hits with all the family so far. Thanks for the Christmas present at @Mark Arbour You are the BEST!!!

An old friend and catching up
pickuptoy commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in An old friend and catching up
A very good chapter. The meeting turn out the way I hoped, no blaming or animosity from one to another. I can see all 7 of them becoming very good friends. Toby has the personality that I bet he will take on the girls as his little sisters. Getting them interested in ecology and them turning him into a true vegetarian. I also see Russ and all of them becoming very close. Three kids to be uncle too. Very good story, and I am loving the series. Hope it keep going for years. Thanks @roberthugill -
I love sloppy seconds!!

Humble pie, domesticity and Dragons’ Den

I also had thought Nolan was in his mid to late 20's myself. Not 35. Great story. Keeps getting better and better. -
Boating trip and boyfriend problems

I had assumed that Nolan was going to be on the boat with Ralph and the girls, along with Morrie. I thought Morrie knew about Nolan. -

Great chapter. I also think Ralph's mom is not going to be that hard ass as he might think. The dad may be another story. -
Good start to the new story. Looking forward to reading the next chapter. Thanks Robert.

Not an end but a beginning

Like everyone else I have thoroughly enjoyed this story. Love the main characters. Keep up the great work @Robert Hugill you are certainly appreciated. -
The three men finally fell into a comfortable doze, when Brian was woken by Toby shouting that there was a man at the door. I thought Toby carried Arman a plate of food out to the car for his lunch when Russ had gone to the Mill house to look and purchase the paintings and stayed for lunch. So Toby should have recognized him, but I may be wrong on who carried his food out. I know Arman brought his empty plate back in and thank Gordon's mom for his lunch. Great story, I am enjoying every chapter.

Another great chapter! Looking forward to reading the next one.

I hope it keeps going as the story is written, or series where, where we are continuing in others point of view, like Gordon's, or Toby's, or maybe even Russ' and his side of the story and why he has taken so much interest in this family, maybe at times going back and referencing his life before them, how his family functioned, if he inherited most of his wealth, or if he came from little and made his own fortune. His relationship with his brother and his family, on to his relationship with Gordon, Brian and Toby leading him to make them his heirs. But currently I m reading what you wrote almost exactly 2 years ago. I know there other books already written in this series. I look for very long stories, trilogies, or series of stories to read. I hardly ever read a short story or one of 10 or 12 chapters. Mainly 30 plus chapters catch my eye. I am a huge fan of Mark Arbour's stories that are very long and multiple books, "CAP" series, which is in it's book 19 and "Bridgemont" series which in now in book 9, both have been going for many years. And are excellent written stories. As are a few more long or multiple book series. I am looking forward to more of yours too.

Thank you so much for the info. I am thoroughly enjoying this story and am sure I will love his others too. Yeah I looked some of the names of the towns he has brought up and see they don't exist, but some similar show up in Northern England so I have assumed that too. I have always liked following stories on Google Earth as I am reading them. From locations to restaurants, Hotels, venues, etc. Just something I like doing. -

Thank you @Summerabbacat so do you suggest I go back and reading "Going Back"? Are they paralleling and crossing each other? Or are they just completely separate stories? -

I think Russ from their first meeting with Brian and Gordon he felt like they were someone he could trust. No bullshitting or beating around the bush people. Like others comments on here I think he is lonely, don't think him and his brother and his family are very close at all. I believe when not working or entertaining clients and associates he is very lonely. Brian, Gordon, and Toby are the ones he think that can fill that void. Somebody he can both mentor, advocate, and likely spoil. I don't think it is with any malice at all. I feel it will really help all in future. Great chapter, great story!! -

Another very enjoyable chapter @Robert Hugill. Still no appearance from Deirdre and Jasper, perhaps they have gone to visit Colin's mother and Miles. I imagine they would all get along famously. Jasper and Miles could bemoan the state of the nation with "all these bloody queers" getting recognition for their unnatural lifestyles. Jimmy could join in the conversation and bitch about that "shirt lifter" Owain. Who is Colin, Miles, and Jimmy? Are they from another story by Robert Hugill? Do I need to read it before I go any farther? I thought this one was the first in a series? -
Another Great chapter!! I like how this story is going.
-
Great Chapter! I like Carlo. Travis may have a real threat with him. Thanks @Mark Arbour

I think Kostas knows about the gaps and holes between the back of the workshop and the hidey hole. He probably knows Noah has been watching and assumes he is showing Toby. He gets his rock off knowing he is being watched. Glad Toby now has Noah. I think they will become great friends, maybe more. I am enjoying this story.

I think I might have liked being in the security business instead of sales in another profession. Or I might want to go and interview them about hiring one of those guys.
