    Lesson #1

Although I know you didn't literally count the words, your comment about the word count impressed me. It showed concentration on the details, and I appreciate that. Thank you, molly. I'm glad you like this piece. you, too, can relate to the dynamics. Cheers - Mac

    Lesson #1

Thank you, tim. I know you can relate to it, too. And you're right about the signs - when they're present, they're unmistakable. Even the subtle signs become glaringly obvious to those looking. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this piece.

    Lesson #1

I know that you can relate, jp. Very well, in fact. I'm not sure yet where this may go, if I choose to continue it - but most likely, I will continue it at some point.
  4. A tap of my hand on the back of your knee, a nudge of my boot on the side of your shoe – subtle, yet strategic points-of-contact purposely administered to garner a reaction. Will you, or won’t you… be able to control the flinch, the physical fluster, as you stand there at the edge of the table, attempting to correctly take our food order while trying not to dwell on the fact that I've just touched you? That you know I intend to take you as my own at some point in the near future? That you want

    I Feel Like

That's an awful lot of broiling emotions for one day. The flame burning everything it touches is very powerful, along with the other metaphors you mention. Power in nature mirrors human emotion. Thanks for sharing, Renee.

    An Elegy in Blue

Perfectly said. Some lessons take a jolt of reality to learn, especially when stubbornness is blocking the way. The important thing is that you ruminated over the wrongs, understood the impact of the discipline, and followed through with making amends.

    Selection

This is certainly spicy, my friend. Love the line: "unhinge me, unsense me". In other words, be taken until you can't see or think straight anymore. The entire piece is invigorating.

  19. Soundly, boy, you sleep Wrapped in distant dreams Fair face masking demons Which seek to plot and scheme Brittle shards of memories Lay harsh upon your back Pressing into open wounds Attempting to attack I watch you sleep there peaceful Fair face betraying pain Would that I could slay dragons And make you whole again

    Mac's Task

Great job on this, drew. you listened not only to the music, but to your body and mind, as well. you allowed the rhythm to get inside of you, and you focused on the sensations it produced and how those affected you, and you formed it into this great poem - despite your struggles with it. Concentration works. Now, I trust that you'll dance more often.
  24. Just peeking in to see what drew's up to here. *turns and quickly exits*
