    Seek Solace

I'm pleased this poem spoke to you, molly. The first stanza is meant to illustrate how scattered thoughts prohibit clarity and peace. For some, being able to focus on methods of discipline slows down the cacophony in the head for a while. As you quoted, liberation can be found in the submission. It's not always the case, and it doesn't always last, but even temporary release helps (and not through self-harm!) I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I know how deeply connected to this you are.

I know that trust is a work in process for you, tim. Pondering the shackles might allow you to be less hesitant. However, trust can't (and shouldn't) be pushed. Only encouraged. As for your subspace... being able to get there is good because it gives you endurance, but if you're not self-reflecting or seeing the larger picture of the lesson, then you may be missing out on something. It depends on how you feel afterwards: What did you gain? What did you lose? Points to discuss with Mike.

I think you described an aspect of the scene well, moggy. For some, there is ultimate freedom in the discipline. Thank you for your comments.

Yes, each task is purposeful and meaningful and - between the right partners - rewarding for both receiver and giver, strengthening the bond. Thank you for your thoughts on it, boy.

    A Birth

At the age of 12, seeing a litter of newborn kittens is pretty memorable. A great start to your tribute to Guero, drew.
  12. Concentration is the given command Kneeling obediently before me in silent repose While mental objects like scattered formations Trip through your mind in disarray Persistent convictions of doubt and self-loathing Which imprison you in shackles of uncertainty Will be shed like armor from your inner core With each attachment, each insertion, each knot I tie Liberation will be found in the submission Succumbing to methods that cause both pain an

    Reappearance

I've been penning a similar poem to yours. Reading this inspired me to complete it.

    Reappearance

Reading this is a good way to start my morning. Puts me in the right frame of mind. Spicy with a whip of obedience.

    Memories

I agree, the movement makes both of these poems stand out, from the drizzling of sunlight to the passing of clouds to the flowing of memories. They each evoke melancholy.

    Lesson #2

Def, I appreciate your comments on this. I want to convey the deeper qualities, not just the physicality of it. Sounds like I did to a certain extent, so that's good. Thank you. - Mac

    Lesson #2

Thank you, Clo. Certain moments/interactions are very deliberate. The initial getting-to-know-one-another phase is crucial for setting expectations and deciding if it's going to be a good match. Because it's not always, so It's better to figure that out early on before investing time and emotions into it - just like any relationship.

Thank you, Puppilull. I hadn't planned on exactly 900 words - glad to know it was the right amount to relay the lesson. I appreciate your comments and support of this. - Mac

    Lesson #2

Mike, it is a transformative moment when a boy not only acknowledges it but finds courage enough to articulate it. Getting him there might take time, but time is a major player in the whole thing, as you know. And you know it all very well. Thanks for reading and offering your comments, my friend. - Mac

    Lesson #2

Good, I'm glad the nuances are clear. you know the feelings well, you can attest to them. The magnetism you mention works both ways; I feel the pull just as strongly as my boy does. If that magnetism isn't there, the relationship won't work. Symbiotic connection. Thank you for your insight, jp.

    Lesson #2

I'm sure the evolution of a D/s relationship would be different depending on the people and the circumstances. I'm glad this one feels believable to you, Reader, because it's based on actual events. I want to instill that sense of reality so that people can understand - and maybe relate to it in some way (or many ways). Thank you for your comments.

    Lesson #2

I'm glad you're enjoying the lessons, drew. I hope you gain some further insight into D/s - but keep in mind, each relationship is unique. I'm illustrating one scenario. Thanks for reading. - Mac
