Splinters from the weathered exterior wall caught at the fabric of Ben's shirt, poking through to his skin as he leaned up against them. He was attempting to catch a small pocket of shade near the stables while the phone call from Melanie rambled on. Miraculously, the Blackberry had survived being thrown like a missile across the porch during the night. Aside from two small cracks marring the surface of the screen, the device itself was unscathed. "Pick up your ticket at the first-class coun
  2. Whew. A cold shower is in order! I feel the heat from your words, Def. Steamy, sensual and salacious. I'm glad others prompted you to post it here to be enjoyed by all. Cheers - Mac

I think we all wonder what legacy we'll leave behind when we're gone. What will we be remembered for? Who will do the remembering? These are natural questions. With your prolific writing and animated personality, it is no doubt to me that your legacy will be memorable, tim - but you have a long, long way to go yet.

    Chapter 6

Despite the frustration of reading it, I think the sexual dynamics falling apart in this story make sense. An alpha male/top no longer having the ability to top would be a complete mind-fuck for that person, and it would take time to overcome. I don't blame Don for feeling that way or for suggesting that Louis take a lover. Don probably thinks that Louis needs to be fully fulfilled sexually in order to be OK in other parts of his life. This would be a very challenging situation for me, too. However, it is not difficult to kiss and cuddle and offer really amazing oral sex to someone you love, even if you yourself can't physically perform. In that regard, Don is being a selfish prick. Hopefully, this bumpy road smooths out. Thanks for another fantastic chapter, tim.

    For tim

Maybe one can't lasso the wind, but one can ride along beside it. This is a beautiful sentiment demonstrating the love and respect you have for tim.

    Real

I've read this a few times, and each comment I write feels inadequate. So I'll just say I hope the vagueness passes; you are far from a figment.
  13. My boy, you are not broken. you are brilliant. I will continue to have you chant that mantra. The bumps we encounter are all a part of the process, and disappointments can be corrected through your willingness to trust in me.
  14. That makes me smile, caz. Mark is a good man, and you are both fortunate to have one another.
  15. You're right, Mike. Whether from our perspective, or their perspective, the outcome is the same: we provide what they need with love and care, and they, in turn, reward us with love and obedience. It's a beautiful arrangement.
  16. Parker, nice of you to read this poem and share your thoughts on it. Yes, we've all dreamed of finding redemption for our faults at point or another. It's much harder to forgive ourselves than it is to forgive others. For some, it's a constant battle. We just have to keep working at it.
  17. It's been said before, but it proves the point, so I'll say it again: a D/s relationship is a symbiotic relationship, which you described perfectly in your comment, A. Working through challenges together is just as crucial as in any other type of relationship.
  18. Everyone needs someone who deeply cares about their well-being. I provide what I can, where I can. It's important to me. sean deserves no less than that. you, jp, tim, renee, and many others who may not yet be on my radar deserve no less.
  19. jp, you know very intimately what this poem means, and I thank you for sharing your thoughts on it. Yes, the goal is to build-up through discipline and care and to promote a healthy life-balance. We can all benefit from such goals. I'm glad Danny provides these things for you, my boy.
  20. Sometimes a loving hand is all that's needed to get over the bumps. Other times, it requires harder discipline. Either way, it's done with care. Thanks for your sweet comment on this, moggy.
  21. Abandonment is never an option. There's a commitment between both parties: one promises to care and provide guidance, the other promises to listen, learn, and not give up. Thanks for your comments, my boy. I know that you and Mike have this very special relationship.
  22. You lay prone before me atonement dripping like wine your intentions to be good oft shadowed by the noose of self-doubt you choke on despite my efforts to permanently remove it. We circle one another in uncertainty like specters dancing through flames - me, tightening wrists to ward off your fears you, resisting their release with delusions of your unworthiness to be redeemed. The positive steps we take forward are inevitably t

    Chapter 5

Once again, you faced the challenges of this story head-on, hitting straight to the heart of the matter regarding the intimacy and lack thereof. This is a major setback in their relationship, and you didn't walk softly around the issue, you exposed it. As I and others have said regarding your writing, the interactions and dialogue between characters feels real. Louis' and Don's dialogue and emotions hit home. We can all relate. We can all feel that sense of frustration, loss, and uncertainty. With that, we can also feel the hope lingering. All is not lost... but they have a long road ahead of them. Thanks for another great chapter, tim.
  24. I appreciate your analogy, boy. Yes, we at least have wisdom and experience going for us. And discernment. I'll catch up with you eventually, Kitt!
  25. It is a wonderful life. I wouldn't live it any other way.
