Spreading the Bad News
Anton_Cloche commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Spreading the Bad News
Hmm. Interesting chapter @Lee Wilson. Seems in spite of his many shortcomings, lawyer Mark Watson finally got his 'act' together and did right-ish* by Fred. But for now, things are looking more sideways than up for Fred as he struggles just to put his life back together. ✌️ (* Unbeknown to Fred, Watson's mishandling of his trial, largely caused by the actions of the DA and the Judge, has opened up a Judicial Review putting all three at risk of being disbarred. Perhaps the "Great State of Texas" in order to avoid more negative attention, will "make things right" for Fred, as part of Restorative Justice. Soon, Watson will track down Fred and surprise him with a "Everything is bigger in Texas" 2-Part Settlement. While 'Compensatory' damages are limited, "Punitive Damages" are not and consider 'future' long-term losses 💰) -
Interesting chapter (and profile image?) @JLynch leading us on to what lays ahead in London? There's a saying in UK about people being "like chalk and cheese" or completely different from each other; like day and night. But it seems 'this' Day and Liam are a bit more alike, but by design. Liam's back story is much different from Day. A psychologist would say his father Brett is a closeted paedophile; abusing Liam indirectly, using his youth and body to satiate his own lusts for money via sex. Liam has been groomed to accept that is who he is. Or was? Will he allow Day to be just another one to use him, and then discard him?

Thank you @chris191070 for this well written story and also the epilogue. The real murderer (murderess) was found and at least four men survived. Unfortunately Ken did not find a lasting 'soulmate' in Larry. Whether Nyack, F.I. "Pines" or numerous other 'play spots' around the world for men (women and 'others') seeking sex or 'more', the results are sadly not always a HEA. Ps: Great news, Ken returns!

Formal Meetings With the Warden
Anton_Cloche commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Formal Meetings With the Warden
In U.S. DA's (AND judges) are elected (virtually 100% on 'Party' affiliation) and suspect this DA (Despicable Attorney), and judge are up for re-election. Fred's lawyer needs to search his legal briefs for missing cojoñes, and file for: · 'Wrongful Conviction and Unlawful Confinement' based on DA's failure to fully disclose during discovery. · File writ of Habeas Corpus to have Fred immediately released pending appeal. · File for Compensatory Damages (loss of income, job loss during confinement) AND · Punitive Damages for damage to Fred's reputation, ability to earn future income etc, against DA, City and State. I wonder if Fred's 'feelings' for Mo are a little bit of Stockholm Syndrome (actually recognized in prison surroundings). Shoes dropping? -
Yes @Mancunian it does appear that 'John' and others blessed with Manny's help during his life, are "paying it forward" to assist another Emmanuel (Joseph) fulfill his potential and perhaps Manny's dreams for Joseph's future. In order to ensure this works, you and @raven1 need to make sure all the spanners 🔧 and others tools are safely locked away. 🤞

Gramps and Pops would pretty much have to turn over the 'family' business to Devin and Mac since it involves the long history of where the wealth came from and is still buried / hidden. The "McCaskill Environmental and Wildlife Consulting Group" is of course a legitimate enterprise, as long as it survives on its own without outside 'investment'.

More Time or More Waiting?
Anton_Cloche commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in More Time or More Waiting?
Somebody is going to be jammed up. Time for Fred to have some hopeful news. First, that DNA tests prove the other semen came from Bully. Second, that an Appeal is granted and new trial exonerates Fred declaring him innocent. Third, based on evidence the prosecuting DA failed to share in 'Discovery', Fred is awarded compensatory AND substantial punitive money 'award' from the city / State. It won't bring Stephane back, or be a HEA, but it should let Fred start a new life. Ps: with Bully found guilty of premeditated murder in the first degree, AND attempted murder (of Fred) he gets what he deserves, and Mo! 🙂 -
Dreams for @Paladin are measured in inches? 6" ... 8" ... 10" with Devin playing 🏀? It's a dream. It's only a dream. No more gluten and lactose-free veggie 🍕 and ranch sauce mixed with Coors 🍺 before bed. 💤💤

Great chapter Bill, with Mac and Devin settling in at CSU, but finding it to be a challenge. Gramps and Pop's visit to take in a football game and go to their hunting camp sounds routine, until talk turns to the nature of their business. Reading "between the (century) lines" when Gramps and Pops talk about succession plans for their 'McCaskill Environmental and Wildlife Consulting Group', with Devin (and yes Mac too) becoming involved, I sense something is off. Gramps and Pops talk about the wear, tear and strain of centuries of lives and work and wanting to slow down and spend time with their wives. Devin's response of "Oh come on, you’re not even middle-age for a skinwalker, so you’ve still got a long way to go,” seems that Devin should be paying closer attention, because he is missing something important that isn't being spoken of. Are Gramps and Pops ill with something they never encountered before?

Getting To Know Joseph Part 2
Anton_Cloche commented on Mancunian's story chapter in Getting To Know Joseph Part 2
All I can @Mancunian and @raven1 is simply WOW! (Okay, now that I've recovered from momentary brain stuck ... Clutch in and Shift), this was a very well written chapter full of consideration of three (possibly 4 if you include LGBTQ+) cultural differences. For Joseph it wasn't just the idea of moving from Israel to UK, but also his Palestinian initial upbringing before Manny rescued him. So that's a lot to take in, understand, accept and adjust to. I'm surprised Ian and Kevin didn't bring up the concept of "paying it forward", but that will come in time. And now we come to all the behind the scenes work (by Pop/Major, Issac, Jacob, Tom, Dick et al) to accomplish what may qualify as a miracle in any religion. Crossed fingers, toes, eyes and anything else to make "Operation Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Trip", come off without a hitch. -
Hoping the situation doesn't get Harry?
-
Of course @Mancunian and @raven1, because plausible deniability is needed in "certain circumstances"; To protect everyone involved, especially the innocent like Joseph and to a different degree Ian and Kevin. "Ignorance" of the law is not a defense. But there is a reason some say Lady Justice's blindfold "may" slip from time to time. As discussed previously (elsewhere), the Major's 'connections' during his time in 'The War' likely involved SIS, and grants 'special consideration to him and "family" in times of need. Joseph's situation qualifies as 'need'. Hopefully no mistakes are Madea. 😉 Monte Python's "Candid Photography" comes to mind. 👆 👆 😉 😉 🫢

Reading glasses or shot glasses? Decisions, decisions? Perhap just 2-fingers (more than a "wee dram") of my late father's 60-Year Old Macallan single malt. 🥃 Was the "vicarious thrill by touching the sphincter"? * 🙄 I know it is a Leap Year, and most of us readjusted our clocks "falling back" to "Daylight Savings", "Summer" or "BST" depending on where you live; but did 'they' add 3 hours making each day 27? * FYI There are more than 60 types of sphincters in the human body.

I'm (temporarily) at a loss for the right words. First, thank you @drown for this chapter. Have the changes wrought in Dave brought forward Aten to join with Wepwawet / Dave and Osiris (Clara's hidden self?) in the search for and restoration of Mark? Is the giant, floating "... heart the size of a bear" representative of Mark's heart? Is it (and Mark's essence) protected by "Deia's necklaces and pendants that she gave as gifts, to the boys as tokens of love and brotherhood"? Does the "shimmering circle that opened before (the heart)...", and the "... stone steps (that) descend into a radiant sea of light..." lead to Mark, or is it yet another twist along the path?

Sorry to all Americans not well versed in British Politics, but that is hilarious! I've been looking for a reference point for Americans (including some cousins) who are not "well versed in British Politics". Online streaming service 'BritBox' offers the opportunity to watch past and current UK TV series. But reading @Summerabbacat comments about "manifested spiritual entities" and their connection to RMW and his "mansion", made me think of Ghosts. The original BBC version aired in the U.S. (and in Australia), before an 'Americanized' CBS version appeared (specifically because some UK characters references weren't understood). RMW's spiritual tormentor may be a much angrier version of Thorfinn, while Rupert may be loosely akin to MP Julian, albeit without 'liaisons' and not dead ... yet. With either or both waiting to be "sucked off". 🤣

OMG! Ian's been smothered, in the ER!. Standard procedure when someone's been administered a "recovery dose of insulin" to counteract a diabetic coma, is for the patient to be closely monitored in case of an adverse reaction and can not call for help. One of the paramedics should have stayed with Ian if there was no nurse. As for the "dark figure" in a hoodie; someone with access to a police radio or scanner would be instantly aware of a prisoner transport. Like Fred would. Or anyone else. And while the killer could have easily injected some air or drug quickly into Ian's IV line (SOP for diabetic coma) they would not have gotten the perverse pleasure of watching him die.

Well written chapter @lawfulneutralmage. The Turners appear to be straight out of central casting - a bit of 'Upstairs , Downstairs' if you will. I rather expect that if they've seen "odd" goings on, like 'spirits' roaming about or things unexplained happening, getting that information will be like prying a smile out of the Princess Royal. As for the Hon. Minister? It appears that some people are "To the manor borne" and act the part. TTFN.

Getting To Know Joseph Part 1
Anton_Cloche commented on Mancunian's story chapter in Getting To Know Joseph Part 1
First, you and @raven1 are doing a stalwart job on this story. You've both been doing your research (or is that Google desiring the accolades?), however; Apps and AI (Lord help us), are only as good as their programmers and continue to be rife with errors (?), intentional or otherwise, depending on which 'masters' they are reporting back to 👀 As for "I'm just waiting for the problems to occur" and "...what can or will go wrong? What problems are around the corner"? Bite your tongues, and "Don't borrow trouble". Having said that I suspect the 'friendship' bracelets the children are wearing contain tracking 'chips', like those given to young "protectees" by their 'minders' (like Jacob). Ps: At 6'7" (2m) Jacob will have a hard time fitting in the Range Rover, even with the seat in lowest position and the seatback angled back at least 5° 🦒 BTW, Having previously worked in 'Foreign Service' I am familiar with 'special needs vehicles', and why most 'Protection Detail' are only 2" (5cm) on average taller than 'protectees'. Primarily to shield VIPs from 'incoming' objects, but it can make it hard to retain 'headroom' in vehicles that are armoured, most 'secure' vehicles are SUVs to allow for 5" / 10cm of 'protective materials'. I could give you details, but like they say in movies "but then I'd have to shoot you". 😜 -
Interesting chapter @J92, with lots of details and characters becoming clearer, although some questions remain. Thomas is really caring for Zack as he deals with his cancer and upcoming surgery. Adam however is more than just an annoyance. There is something looming over Thomas, that needs to be dealt with, soon.

Thanks you for this well written (and edited) chapter @drown. Near-death experience of Dave being burnt almost beyond saving. And Grey doing the only thing he could to try and save Dave, by turning him, with a bite. "... then a low, ragged whine escaped him, a sound so utterly alien, yet laced with a heartbreaking whimper of confusion and pain". But watching Dave's body contort horribly as it began to heal and change at the same time; "That was the sound that broke me. The monster I feared wasn’t fully formed. Not yet. Dave was still in there, trapped within a body that no longer felt like his own". As the metamorphosis happens, Grey's inner wolf, the 'other' being within him, speaks to him, in an attempt to guide him: "he needs us. needs us. What have we done? his wolf. he doesn’t know him. he needs us". With that plea, Grey transforms into his wolf, to guide Dave as he makes the ultimate change that will help his/their body, mind and spirit. Thankfully it works. But how well will it help them and Clara with what's to come? 🐺 🫂

Norm and some of his (homophobe?) cohorts are more than balls deep in the continuing 'Alphabet Murders'. He's got to be seriously deranged to think he can murder those original pool party guys in what should have been "police protection" in the jail. Poor Harry / Hareem, being murdered while kneeling in Muslim prayer, ironically having his throat slit (from behind), as that is how the sacrificial lamb is slaughtered at the start of Muslim holy periods like Ramadan.

Thanks @Mancunian and @raven1 for another wonderful chapter with more information about 12-year old Joseph. Glad to learn that religion should not be an impediment to Ian and Kevin being granted guardianship of Joseph initially, and hopefully having Joseph move to UK permanently. Israel's positive attitude, openness and acceptance towards LGBT persons, gay marriage, adoption of children etc., means Ian and Kevin's relationship will not be an issue. Thank you

Rupert Morris-Walker wasn't before, he is now a right royal bloody prig. 'Whatever' is after him probably has valid reasons for ripping him apart (or whatever 'they' do to those they want). And as a newly created "Minister of the Crown" he's even more of a stuffed shirt, and taken being insufferable to a while new level. The new Hon. Minister for Shite, by forcing Jamie to be his personal 'protector', has just put a giant bullseye on Jamie AND Michael. (hence my ANGRY emoji for this chapter). Sorry about that @lawfulneutralmage, because the chapter is very good, and well written. Just have to keep my fingers and everything else crossed. 😯
