Oh I thought that Mother Poole’s was just a ditzy queen, I didn’t know that she was real😂. I think that young Eddie is coming to terms with being gay, he has come out to his folk and they have kicked him out, which is why he is staying with his aunt and uncle.

I think that Pate needs to sort himself out if he is going to be in a relationship with Tim. Jay’s childhood sounded dreadful, his father was just awful.

I like Coca Cola. I don’t like Pepsi as I think that it’s too sweet. But grew up with Kraft Mayo in 🇦🇺 but use Hellman’s Mayo in 🇬🇧 Jube is doesn’t live up to his name with being soft and squishy😂

I think that Coy and Boone need to move on, maybe Coy should go to Larkspur and get a farm near Boone as he doesn’t like panning for gold, and there is no point going back to the family farm as it’s been said that the land is useless. They both need to do what is right for themselves and their sanity, if that means going separate ways then that’s what it has to be. -
It must have been really hard for Coy to learn about all of the bad things that his brother had got up to.

It has been an interesting adventure with the two boys. I don’t think that it was fair for Herbert and Judy to pressure the boys into having a child so early into their lives and also that they should concentrate on their studies and getting to know each other, grandchildren could have waited for a while. -

I am like you and don’t like the references to religion in gay stories and there is one particular book that had a lot of religious references in it that I stopped reading it. I thought that Orthodox Jews were homophobic?

A lot of what I suspected had happened to Jim as a child and the hands of that abusive person that is mr ward has been revealed in this chapter, he is a sick man and needs medical help. But I suspect that he also was abused as a child and it has never been dealt with, which explains his actions. -
You only have to think about the poor, bigoted and narrow minded attitude of mr ward to know that Jim suffered mental abuse, the man is a tyrant and a bully. What sort of person would pull a shotgun on their own child, the mother was just a spineless person, how very Christian of them😒
