The clothes are great, their lifestyle and behaviour, not so much. -

You wouldn't know what to do with me, dressed like that, boy! -
A beautifully written space tale. We find a man who is awoken into a mystery 400 years after the fact. He is alone except for the rather sarcastic ship's computer, SILAS, who turns out to be more than anyone bargained for, but he is integral to solving the reasons why they are where they are. There is so much here in these worlds, tim has built. Highly recommend that you don't miss this one.

Most likely the office knew, maybe the Captain and HR officer if there's such a thing. But likely not most of the crew. In any case, if these people did know, it's still a mystery why he was left behind. He sounds like a man you'd want along if you leaving your ship.

You know I love this story. I think it's well written and is engaging, hopeful and inspiring. Humans can do better, much better. We fight nature, but nature will out. And it doesn't take long. I believe after this war Earth experienced, people chose to live with nature, rather than fight it. And what of these three? Of to find the truth of what happened aboard The Horizon's Edge. What will they learn? It's going to be interesting. I do happen to know, Part 3 is longer than either part one or two. Something to look forward to with a cup of coffee.

Nice to see you back.

Brilliant. That's a hard question to answer without more information. So much time has passed as well. None of the original crew would like be alive, though who can say for sure since James Carson is... Looking forward to more!

The Drop In Centre 3

It's pretty horrific here. Warnings not to leave the house without a respirator mask. This morning the sky isn't bright orange at least. Though there are buildings we cannot see. We have an air purifier going which seems to help somewhat, but some rooms we've closed off stink of smoke. There are lots of fires north of us all across the country. Sadly wind and weather are not bound by maps or hand drawn borders. -

I'd eat that. I'd have to watch the rice and potato, but it sounds delicious. -

These constant med changes are the culprit. Be patient, keep getting out for exercise and fresh air. Dinner's on me tonight. You take it easy. -

I hope it's working well for you! -
In the Quiet After After the sirens fade, A heavy silence fills the air, For those who stood when duty called And gave a life of courage there. There was no promise of return, Only the weight of what must be done, Stepping forward at the hardest hour While others turned away to run. Now their badges rest, and flags are still, Their names are spoken soft and clear, Not only carved in grief and stone, Remembered now and coming years. Their homes now are forever changed, Families left with memory and prayer, We all pause, with heads bowed low, To honour those no longer there. And though their watch has ended now, Their service does not pass away— It lives in memory, love, and duty, And in the light of every day.

Interesting. People are...people. We should stop flattering ourselves by saying how intelligent we are. I have seen too much, dealt with too much. Nothing applies to them, for example, oh don't drink and drive doesn't apply to me, I can hold my booze. Yeah, keep saying that as I search your bloody smashed up body for your ID, so I can go visit your family and explain why you are never coming home again. I'm sure most of us who have ever worked with people, in whatever capacity, can say the same, or similar things. It's too bad your manager was out of the office. Yeah, you don't need to be committing fraud. Sometimes, sorry nope is the only answer we can give. It was good of you to give her some info, that's great service. At some point, most of us learn (usually via the school of hard knocks) that we need to be more on top of things and to not procrastinate. Hopefully, this woman realized her mistakes and doesn't make the same ones in the future. -
I have a personal chef to keep me on track. LOL. he's kinda cute too so that's a bonus. Oh, I gained too much weight once. Never again. It's much easier to keep fit than it is to lose fat.

Yeah, you cannot progress without pushing the limit. It doesn't have to be insane. I'm glad you found something you like and is working for you. There is some talk here about a year with a personal trainer being available by prescription from a doctor. People who work out after cancer treatments live longer. They know many people cannot afford a trainer. They think it will end up saving us money. I'm sure it will go no where however. We need to exercise properly, led by someone with the right skill set. If we did, we'd be healthy, we'd less fat and obese. Physical fitness is tied to so many things. tim has a workout to follow, that includes weight training 3x a week and a daily walk. He's sleeping a little better and eating better. Maybe he'll put on a little weight. Feeling better is my goal for him. I work out at the gym at work during my lunch hours, so it's convenient (and free). I've managed to keep the middled age spread at bay. Likely giving up booze and a lot carbs has helped that too. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, k. Things are okay and he should be home tomorrow. He just needs to take his time and get back to normal. He was complaining he was bored and wanted his knitting but you know psych wards and sharp objects are not encouraged. I hope your holidays are going as planned and you're having a great time.
