  1. Your review was excellent and I love the saying-I looked it up: “The heart has its reasons, whereof reason knows nothing.” (so apt) My tongue doesn’t wrap around French easily but I think it’s a beautiful language; The saying is poignantly beautiful in both.
  2. So this was a “love” and “HA!!” commment. I gave it the love so here comes the HA!! 😆 Loved the “Kevin the hoe” commments. 👍
  3. Awww. This chapter of movement put me in the mind of growing pains, not for Charles Leeman (whom I LOVE-father of the year material, right there), although he did show growth. The pains were for Chase and Dawson. It is good for Dawson to move on and while he and Chase have a great friendship, Dawson was interested in more than that at first. He told Chase about his date as a genuine development, not a way to make him jealous (I’m talking about you Hank) but jealous is what Chase was, of what is what Chase is still trying to figure out. The way this story is unfolding, there is still a chance (however slim looking right now) for a reconciliation between Chase and Hank, while there still being Dawson and Chase vibes too. Hank is realizing the difficult road he chose in his handling of things in the break up....he doesn’t have to give up Charles and Charles still obviously cares for him but Hank’s black and white, all or nothing stance had him shut the door on all the Leemans, it seems. I was ambivalent about Hank’s subdued mood in this chapter-part of me is “I’m glad you’re miserable”, the other part is wondering if all his issues are about to come to a messy head. “I thought so, but… I don’t know anymore. He’s… it’s my fault, but he’s not the same Hank.” “Well, if you think about it, you weren’t the same for a while either, Chase,” his father said gently. “Hank didn’t give up on you, did he?” -My favorite passage in this chapter. Chase, Hank and Dawson are all good men, dealing with the pain of endings (and beginnings) in different ways. there are many roads open that can lead to this story’s end, all viable and that, Master Gary, is the mark of a good storyteller. *genuflecting to your greatness*. Is it next Monday, yet?
  4. I was going to say make up sex is the best sex but there’s always morning sex, angry sex, welcome home sex....you get the idea. 😊 Is this the last we hear of Damien?
  5. Gorgeous chapter. ❤️❤️
  6. Yeah, Sorry about that....😳
  7. Neither are some straight girls. Length and thickness will always matter....in a chapter. 😊 And yeah, some other places too, lol!!
  8. This was a beautiful, pleasing glimpse of the Leeman family. There is still grief. There is still pain. Chase still feels awful about what happened with Hank but there was movement in the pain the Leeman’s were in, individually and collectively. Of the five stages of grief, might this be acceptance? Chase’s error of judgement was painful labor for both he and Hank but Hank’s proposal propelled emotional growth for Chase that could only happen from such an intense moment. It was an ending that birthed a beginning-the end of Chase’s survivor’s guilt and the beginning of the new Chase....the Chase who would always miss and love his mother but can embrace life again. It sucked that Chase hurt Hank but maybe the relationship they had had to end in order for something new and healthier to emerge; Even with Hank’s extremely bitter reaction to their breakup that can still be a possibility if they’re both willing to do the work. I know that love isn’t always enough but I also know where there is love, there is hope.

  10. Damien’s “someone” is a placeholder for Mark, he would drop that person like a hot potato if he thought Mark was even a little interested. ”Alright, I get it. It's fine. I told you, I'm seeing someone. I wasn't gonna wait forever… Although just so you know, moving on wasn't easy. Why can't we just catch up over a cup of coffee. What's the big deal here?" You rushing to the studio Mark’s recording at the second you knew he was there is the big deal, Damien. I'm not stalking you," he announced. "I'm working at "The Cutting Room" with Alex Cooke… you had dinner with him on Sunday. He's friends with Jimmy. He told me you were staying with him … and that you were alone….?" he said inquisitively. If you’re not stalking him now, you will soon.
  11. 👏 I agree.
  12. If Hank was tempted to cheat with Kevin, that might have prompted the proposal to Chase-since he is so averse to the mere idea of cheating, committing to his relationship on a more permanent level might have been a way to shut his attraction down. There is something to Kevin being the only one Hank turned to when this happened and I don’t think it’s the being cheated on angle anymore. I know I might be saying “po-tah-to” when it’s really “potato” but the Kevin angle really puts a different spin on things for me; Then again, this could all be rebound for Hank, which of course carries its own set of problems.
  13. Hank took Rex because he wanted to be a spiteful asshole. He wanted to let Chase know he was going to be with Kevin this weekend....Rex was the way to rub it in. “Yeah, he’s fine. I’m going on a trip tomorrow morning, to Kevin’s dad’s cottage, and it’s a good place for him to just be a dog. You don’t mind, do you?” Be-yatch, puh-leeze. 🙄 Kevin, not you, Wes. That schemer has me all kinds of keyed up.
  14. You and I are in the Kevin Ulterior Motive Club together. That sneaky shit was undoubtedly laying in wait for something like this to happen between Chase and Hank. He was supposed to be both of their friend....smiling in Chase’s face, all the time he wanted to take his place. Backstabbing Bitch. Hank ain’t lily white in this either....maybe that’s why he proposed to Chase in the first place? 🤨
  15. Hank is a coward and in a place to justify everything he’s doing as right and everything Chase is doing as wrong, because there can only be right and wrong for Hank, no shades of rightwrong or wrongright in between. What he did with Chase’s time with Rex shows he’s still in a spiteful mood, that and making clear that Kevin’s father won’t be at the cabin with he and Kevin this weekend; Kevin’s a little stalker bitch from what I see....looks like he was just waiting for Chase and Hank’s relationship to circle the drain; Hank’s turning to him so quickly after what happened makes me suspect there was probably some underlying attraction there on his part, too “Man, Chase is my world but if things were different, Kevin and I could have something really good”- You know he could’ve thought that, lol. Hank doesn’t have to forgive Chase....that’s his right; It does seem as though any grace or or respect for what they had together died in Hank when their relationship did and it’s a very bad look for him. If handovers of Rex is a problem, I’m sure Stacy would be willing to pick up and drop him off from each Daddy, since it’s healthier for both Chase and Hank to steer clear of each other. Hank’s denial that he lumped Chase in with his mother is simply another clue that he’s living in an altered reality instead of a new reality. Some people never get over things like this....sure hope Kevin is as Mr. Perfect as Hank. 🖕 Good chapter, Gary, even though Hank and Kevin pissed me off in it; (Can you tell?) On the other side of that, I’m very proud of Chase and I know that even if it isn’t with Dawson (who is 🎶AH-MAAAAAZZZ-ING🎶), he’ll move on and be happy again with someone else someday. Wow, what an asshole, lol!!
  16. Preston and Indie were a wonderful surprise for me, their connection is just as potent as Efrain and Cory’s; While it got close for me, I still like E & F more. The story is definitely not as good (IMO) without Preston and Indie, though.
  17. The new scenes and dialogue enhance an already incredible story-really liked E & C at the frat party; their first time was even hotter this time around. It’s interesting how an extra line added (or taken away) really makes a difference. This is a richer version to the original....well original I read, (I think it was version four for you?) and the original was already pretty incredible to me. Thank you for this new version, are you thinking of redoing and completing “Wild Card”?
  18. A pitfall of fame for sure and not so surprising, given their success. It’s also not surprising the most charismatic member of the band is having the most difficult time adjusting. I don’t think The Jekyll and Hyde thing is an uncommon trait to Rob and other frontmen. Rob (and/orJordan) could end up dead if they don’t get control of things now. Mark did the right thing and I’m pleased infidelity wasn’t an issue between he and Rob. Sad but good chapter.

    Chapter 7

This is torture and Buzz’s world is hell. Derek is inhuman. His pack is a gathering and not a family; He doesn’t have real loyalty because he rules through fear and intimidation.

That’s a good guess but wouldn’t Colton have recognized when they fought?
