    Chapter 22

Parker’s dad seems to know something wolf related is going on with his son, those earrings weren’t an accident. I sense no parental love from him at all. That gray wolf was rabid-or that’s what I took from his frothing at the mouth; Wolves can’t get human diseases but can they get diseases from each other? Why is he after Parker? Could that be his dad?

    Chapter 18

Can’t wait to see Parker’s parents reaction. I hope it doesn’t hurt him too much because I don’t think it will be good.

    Chapter 7

I detest Parker’s parents; No concern for their child unless he’s with the wrong “sort” or shows some backbone. I so want him out of there, they don’t deserve him.

    Getting There

I’m very fond of Chris and Billy and look forward to where you’ll take them. Thank goodness they found George. Is money the only reason Billy prostitutes himself?

    What the?!?!?
  8. Ya know.... While Hank is being very extreme in his reactions, if it’s only been about two weeks since this whole thing happened, that’s not really a long time to still be deeply hurt at the total devastation of life as you knew it; Even a month or so isn’t that long to be stuck in his feelings-please correct me Gary, if it’s been longer (knowing you, you might have wanted to be deliberately vague with the timeframe) 🤨 I remember when “Exes and Ohs” came out, how for me all the intense emotions involved (and maybe the once a week posting? 😉) made me forget about time and it was subsequent re-readings that reminded me all that happened between Drake and J.D. at the wedding took place over the course of a few days. 😳 Hank has deep rooted issues of his own that absolutely requires therapeutic assistance but Mayhaps we are poking him along too soon?
  9. For all our back and forth and even though Hank is really making it hard, they both deserve our sympathies.

    A Broken Rule

Amanda is too bossy, in my opinion; She doesn’t need to make Trout look like a clueless idiot, it bothers me that he takes that from her. She’s pregnant with someone else’s baby and won’t tell Trout anything about it-this started off as two friends helping each other out but now is uncomfortably one sided, he needs to put his foot down and soon. I’m glad he’s having some fun, I just hope he isn’t being set up.
  11. I was not feeling Mark’s bio family. At. All. “You have more people on your side than you think. Claire and Sam would really love to see you again, and Don, and Mary...” they were cousins, aunts and uncles, “Not everyone thinks like Dad. I know it's been hard for you, but you could have a family if you really wanted one. Even mum's proud of you.” Fuck outta here with that!! Where were all these cousins, aunts and uncles when his “father” and brother were abusing him and his mother ignoring him?!?! Now she’s proud of him?!?! 🖕They can stay right where they are, Mark is already with his real family. On another note, the sex scene with Rob and Mark in the beginning was hot!! 🔥
  12. NICE line!! I want the same for Dawson, too.
  13. “You can’t make someone chose (choose) you.” OOOOOWEEEE, is that a painful truth!! 💔 I am SO happy about Chase’s progress....he’s discovering his new normal and working through his pain. It is delightful to see Chase and his sister’s interactions with each other, as well as his burgeoning friendship with Dawson; Dawson’s story was a heartbreaker, he can and will move on but losing his friendship and the potential for more with Brent will always be there. Hank’s actions put me in the mindset of if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. *SIGH*. BUT.... I know he’s hurting and he’s convinced that what he saw is what happened but dude’s view is clearly skewered, now every man Chase is with is that guy?!?! Paranoid much? When this story started, I saw hope for Chase and Hank getting back together but with the issues Hank has, I don’t think that will be possible without therapy on Hank’s part; Matter of fact, Hank may need that therapy anyway, as any future partner’s actions that remotely appears like interest in someone else will set him down suspicious junction again, with even less wiggle room than before (and really, there ain’t any wiggle room here now). My heart goes out to him but he’s being a real shit head. How long will that last? Chase is sorry and he’s apologized enough, he’s willing to show Hank how sorry he is but he doesn’t need to (or should) beg for Hank’s forgiveness. You can’t make someone choose you, after all. This chapter almost made me put the angry emoji for review due to Hank’s asshatedness but I won’t give him the satisfaction....on top of which, I still think there’s something going on with him and Kevin....sometimes the best way to get over someone is to get under (or on top of) someone else and the Hank we’re seeing is hypocritical enough to do that. Meaty chapter, Gary.

    Chapter 6 Contact

There was a saying that knocked me over with a feather for it’s profound simplicity when I first read/heard it: ”Hurt people, hurt people”. I believe it’s credited to Bill Cosby, which in hindsight makes a lot of sense, smh. There’s a lot of walking wounded....

    Chapter 6 Contact

It was excellent to see Chase and his dad make progress & great that he seems to have a place to stay for the time being. As for Hank and all that had to do with Hank in this chapter.... Can’t wait for next Monday.
  19. SUCH a loaded statement!!!!
  20. 👏 👏
  21. This was a healthy, gut punching chapter. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is that which is best for us but Chase did that and BRAVO to him. He took steps to reach out to his father (no one will be able to say “but you never said/asked”) and he took his Hank detox medicine like a champ. (As much as I loved him leaving the pillow the last time, I love even more that he took it this time.) Hank is confused himself, which is understandable considering how deeply Chase hurt him; When he said he wanted to be friends with Chase, he may have meant it....at the time. There is a deep well of anger (I think some misdirected at Chase) among the hurt and he has a lot of sifting and sorting out to do, he is choosing to do it on his own or at least without Chase and that is his right but there is some passive aggressive motions on Hank’s part that is annoying. I am proud as hell of Chase and have sympathy for Hank. I’m on to see what the next chapter will bring (still scratching my head on how I missed this one, lol). This was lovely, Gary.
  22. I didn’t think of Mark being not his father’s son but it does make sense, in retrospect. It is stupid and so foolishly wrong that Mark had to pay for the indiscretion of his mother instead of she and her husband providing him with emotional support. It would be interesting to see a conversation with his mother about this but I doubt it would be productive. Seeing the friendship the guys were able to maintain in the midst of their fame reminds me that family is as much who you choose to claim as whom you were born to, maybe even more so....I thought Rachel would hook up with Jordan after her break up with Mark, who knows?
  23. Reading about Mark and Rob’s connection and the deepening of their friendship into love has been very enjoyable; So enjoyable it’s made me nervous-they haven’t been caught by their folks with the potential for negative implications that might bring (at least from Rob’s dad). I fear how Rachel will react to the breakup, especially if Rob tells her the truth; Something tells me she may have news of her own for Rob (like a 40 week development), though I hope I’m wrong. It just seems to good to be true....

    Chapter 75 S.A.D.

I loved the rhythm of this poem. My father suffered from S.A.D. but we didn’t know what it was until we were older. Your lyrical dance of the winter blues was spot on; You somehow made them seem more adventurous than sad while still effectively conveying how crippling this can be. Autumn is my favorite season, followed by Spring; I tolerate Winter and hate Summer. Thank you for sharing, Gary....I enjoyed this very much.
