I love Justin’s determination to do right by his son. Being a father is more than fertilizing an egg. I also love how Justin and Terry are looking after Gus and Danny. What an interesting introduction already. Justin and Damien are mirror images on the outside and the inside. Justin was very much the profane smartass before love with Nathan allowed him to let his guard down and so is little Damien. Gussie is his best friend? 😍 Things are progressing nicely, I’m hopeful for a meet up with all 5-Justin, Nathan, Damien, Danny and Gus. With Terry on Danny and Gus’ side, they are going to be forever okay, they have no idea what a powerful force they have on their side. It still saddens me to see Terry without his boyfriend who died (Ramon?) He was happiest with him and it seems so odd to me when I hear him with someone else, much like Oskar and Will.

I cannot wait for Justin and Damien to meet. Things won’t go quite like Damien thinks but one has to hope that seeing how much his father wants him will atone for a lot. It would be nice if Danny and Gus could go back as well, working for Nathan and making their own life. I’m wondering what is the age of majority in England? I hope James’ actions toward Gus comes to light and that it matters to his parents.

The tourism board for Massachusetts owe you some $$, lol. You do such a great job of making the state sound appealing and your food game is beyond on point!! I like how unabashed he is in going for what wants; Seems he knew about Rick all along and has a legitimate gripe against him, thing is, everyone’s journey to self acceptance isn’t the same or always easy, unfortunately people can get hurt along the way. Ever since I moved out and my dad went on his diet, my mother hadn’t had much opportunity to cook real food other than for the occasional church event. You have a way with a line, both humorous and sentimental. 👏

Beth is a paragon of absolute forgiveness and love. She forgave her boyfriend for breaking up with her; My issue with Rick is not that he broke up with her for being gay, it was the timing-who wants to look back on their high school graduation and remember something like that?!?! I’m also aware that just hearing what happened doesn’t convey whether this was done by surprise or if there were hints of problems in their relationship; Beth not only forgave Rick but also chose to make him a member of her wedding party....clearly in an attempt to play matchmaker for her ex-boyfriend and her brother; She worked through her issues and put this plan into motion because she wants the best for two people she loves. That she is this way with the parents she has and the environment she grew up in is laudable. I hope Aaron is worthy of her. It’ll be interesting to see where Rick (and Freddy for that matter) will be staying. Good chapter.

This didn’t feel rushed, even though you basically covered the whole summer. You conveyed enough of what was going on as well as what was felt. It was a busy, venture filled summer for these three families, I look forward to the Gala and the double wedding. I’m glad you got through the visit. Relatives, can’t live with them, can’t kill them. 🤷‍♀️

And the teaming up begins....lol. Liam and Cassie’s intro was cool but it was Nash and Cassie’s reintroduction that touched me more. I know you mentioned against young romance but I did note a spark between Liam and Keon. 🤔 I wish you bullshit repellent and a call cancelling the visit. Hi Goldie!! So Jett the jerk had a good streak once upon a time (actually still does if his concern for Jay is any indication) and April was the beneficiary of it. Something tells me if Jett gets April to color his hair blond he’ll remember him from the past. The connection is still strong-Jett only found one guy attractive before April, he doesn’t realize he’s still attracted to the same guy, and he’s protective of him from the Z brothers. Seems April is attracted, too. And Jay is adorbs!! I look forward to finding out who Jay’s mom is and what these two will do about their attraction to each other.

That breakfast sandwich and the summer pancakes at Betty Ann’s....God!! Lol!! You’ve made me really hungry. You write a good sex scenes, if I’ve never mentioned it before. 🔥 “This is really what being in love was about. Betty-Anne’s sounds great. I love genuine diner food (or diner-like food, lol). The cinnamon rolls and breakfast pastries sound divine. I enjoyed reading the prep involved in getting ready for Liam’s homecoming and Keon sounds gorgeous, I hope being around each other is beneficial for Liam and Keon both. Yay for clean garages, lol and I hope you had a great visit with your elder child.

I’m sorry your day was rough and appreciate that you still sent out your chapter while life wasn’t ideal. I hope it helped you a little bit, as reading about Jarren and his new family always makes me smile. Liam’s backstory was fleshed out well and fit with the irascible character we’ve been introduced to. Liam, Nash and Jarren met at the right time in each other’s lives; Each is an irreplaceable part of this new future being mapped out. Liam: “Knock Knock” Nash: “Who’s there?” Liam: “Broken pencil.” Nash: “Broken pencil who?” Moment of silence. Liam: “Never mind, there’s no point.” 🤣 Fair warning-I will be using this, lol!! “He was only a little concerned when Nash whispered something to Jarren and Jarren had shaken his head rapidly. The only word that he had been able to catch was ‘Cassie’. He wondered who she was and why they didn’t want to tell him about her. Maybe she was crazy and lived in a mental hospital or was massively deformed like the hunchback of Notre Dame. Oh well, he’ll find out eventually.” Yes, Liam certainly will find out eventually, lol. 😳 For all of the quirks in Cassie’s strong personality, she is a nurturer, I believe Cassie will take Liam under her protective wing and...I think will have met her quick witted, sharp tongued match in the 12 year old. I now look forward to Cassie meeting both Liam and Nash, with a little more curiosity about her and Nash-Cassie last saw him at a very traumatic time and while Lex’s meeting with Nash went smoothly, I wonder if Cassie’s said protective streak will reveal itself; She’s a wild card when it comes to meeting folks, lol.

Liam wasn’t the only one with tears in his eyes when Jarren and Nash asked him to live with them (eventually). Looking at Juju’s personal effects was also very touching. I think “Matchgame” was the best game show of the 70’s and I liked both “Password” and “$25,000.00 Pyramid” Is it going to be a big wedding for the guys (and when?)

This chapter had the guys truly come into their own, as individuals enhanced by their relationship with each other. The communion of their souls through sex in this chapter only solidified their absolute intimacy; They will be able to take on whatever happens together. The song “Through the Fire” by Chaka Kahn came to my mind at the end of the chapter; Jarren and Nash haven’t known each other long but have weathered storms that would test anyone. I look forward to Nash’s full integration into Jarren’s family, particularly Cassie. Hi Ryan!! 👋

The chapter was perfect. I’m glad Lex shared his gift with Jarren and Nash and am glad Lex told Nash about their connection w/o Jarren informing him first. It’s right that Ian and Lex help Jarren, Nash and Liam become a family. Seeing Liam’s reaction to his new situation will be priceless (barring any roadblocks you may add, of course 🙂)

Very promising start. Mark is obviously head over heels about Mickey, yet I sense a predatory air about him, like he prefers to be in charge of a relationship. I don’t know how that will impact their future interactions but I’m interested in finding out. Mickey seems to me more easygoing but not as much of a pushover as one might think.

It didn’t occur to me until this chapter that the accident and Nash’s amputation would only bond Liam, Nash and Jarren even more to each other. I am WAY glad that Nash losing his foot wasn’t the end of his relationship with Jarren, was even more glad Jarren stood up for their relationship the way he did....guess Jarren’s closet is only for coats now. 😊
