  1. Wow reaction because, well... I have to confess, I did imagine it in a very cinematic way, sort of how some series or movies would end with the credits rolling over the image, while the characters still interact on the screen... You see right through me, he-he...
  2. We do have such moments in our lives, I believe... when we're simply happy. And I wanted to show it for these guys, too. Thank you so much @LeeSA! You've been so supportive, though I did challenge you with these characters and their choices!
  3. How well do you know Alexander? He'd only change it with a pic from the wedding!
  4. Thank you so much! It was an important moment in their lives, because they were so happy.
  5. Chapter Sixty-One – Say It Out Loud There had to be an expression to describe how he felt, standing in the reception area of the hospital where Alexander worked, cradling a huge bouquet of red roses in his arms, while all around him people walked with purpose, stealing curious glances at him. Everything here was white or hospital-blue, and then there was him, breaking the pattern with that romantic cliché. Lyn had to wonder briefly if the receptionist might find the size of that bouquet eno
  6. Since everyone reacted with fingers crossed... I did the same
  7. That was what I wanted to convey... for all Theo believes that his pack is gone, he cannot bear the thought of losing his new pack
  8. That is such a nice thing to take from my lil' writing! But it's so true! It costs nothing to be kind.
  9. I'm glad you're interested in Jack! He may seem like a support character - and he'd argue that he's pretty supportive - but he's also right, front and center! If you were alluding to the bad things happening in the US... it even reached our news. It's bone-chilling.
  10. Each of them is tuned to their surroundings in a certain way because they're different. But that's what makes them perfect to each other.
  11. He might do that!
  12. I hate you... lol, just kidding. It's so cold where I live. Theo is hurrying up!
  13. And the big bad wolf in on his way!
  14. They will go through a lot, but they will be together, too. Thank you for reading and commenting!
  15. And love... I mean Theo is on his way
  16. Chapter Twenty – The Kind Worth Saving The fog around him was so fluffy now Jack could imagine it becoming a soft and inviting bed in which he only had to lie down and sleep forever. Forever? Jack tried to rub his eyes to chase away the unnatural sleepiness washing over him. “Ouch,” he mumbled. He had almost stuck one of the cards in his hand in his eye. The cards. Drop them. Now! “What?” Jack drawled. “What do you mean? These are mine,” he said stubbornly and stru
  17. Yes, thank you! Until I got to your comment, I already said the same thing a few times... Brad doesn't get absolved, and it was never my intention. But I wanted so much to show people with their good and bad in this story, and let readers take out of it what they will....
  18. Thank you so much, @LeeSA! Definitely not the easiest to write! Emotionally taxing at times... But I truly wanted to tell it, and tell it to the best of my capabilities. And what a quote Lyn will value his time with his friends even more now.
  19. Yes, yes, he will.
  20. I knew you'd understand Like for other pieces of writing I've created in my life, I took bits and pieces from things and people I've known. A diagnosis of this kind at a young age tends - from what I learned, of course, as a personal experience - to make some bad parts of a personality become... worse, unfortunately. And I can understand why. It changes everything for that person. You read me well: this wasn't meant to absolve Brad in any way. But readers who read closely will understand him better. The parts that might have made them think: why is he like this? now have answers. Okay, you really did make me cry with a few lines... but empathy is what makes us good humans, in my humble opinion. The third element steps out, indeed, but not before pushing Lyn and Alexander back together. For all his faults, I think he's a good friend. Thank you for the comment, Maestro! I'm really grateful
  21. Yes, I know, and I was expecting this reaction from you Of course, it doesn't change what he did. But I think it offers an explanation for parts of him, so to speak.
  22. Actually... with all my research, I learned only when it was too late that such conditions can be inherited. Have a little faith in me
