    Oh, gawd, Maestro, I'm really getting goosebumps reading this final analysis. Yes, Lyn the absolutist. Alexander didn't call him Bernardo Gui by accident... Alexander saw that in Lyn, too, and maybe that made his initial infatuation grow into something far more solid. Also, yes, Lyn the lawyer! He'll always protect those he cares about. And in his case, this need to protect goes deep, and it will never go away. Let's not picture anyone ever daring to mess with his and Alexander's little girl...

    I strived to navigate a complicated invisible line between the characters - all three of them. Your comment makes me think that I nailed it, Maestro! And yep - little Alex does borrow a few traits from his godfather whom he admires. But he'll be happier than Alexander was while growing up for sure.
