SIS 12 The next morning I woke up with the sun shining in my window. I didn’t know what time it was as I fumbled across the hall to the bathroom. J.K far outshines a lot of what I've read in the YA novels.. Harry Potter in the early works was borderline corny at times. I believe I wanted to skip the second or third book and they got a bit lengthy in the latter parts. Harry had his annoying qualities though, not going to lie I hated the way he acted in the 4th and 5th books. J.K fell into the trap of creating a character that had flaws, sure, but also could fall into a betty-sam.. lol. You know, Bettie Sue I am perfect and who the hell are you?.. types? It was a bit of a put off and I thought she could have managed that side of the main character a bit better. What made the book what it was though, was partially the plot, but definitely the supporting cast of characters...

They were interviewing people on television that were going to ride it out.. lol. The thing I don't get about Hurricanes is that they come into the forecast with a fair bit of warning - enough so that mandatory evacuations can run relatively smoothly. The Damage they're talking about with Irene - they predict will be in the billions, probably top 10 most costing storms to make partial/complete landfall. It also impacts a lot of people, so I would want people to use good judgment and get out of the way of this thing... I would hate to ride it out, get injured or lose my provisions, and not have help coming because I was told to get out... So people should try to make it out of the way of this thing... AND TRY TO TAKE YOUR PETS!

Eh, I'm 'supposed' to be on hiatus, but a certain guy named Steve linked me this. I read the books before ever watching the films, I do that with anything - except for Harry Potter, because well.. my younger brother and sister dragged me to the theaters before I could get my hands on their copies.. lol. Anyway, I'm not getting into the movies, but the books, as you progressed through the series got noticeably worse. SM didn't care about creating plot-holes or backing herself into a corner with her plot either. When she got to a point where her defined rules needed to be broken to go on to the next step that she wanted - well she broke them. Its fiction, but you can't have a linear story line, that's progressing ok, creating rules and character limitations, and plot points that people will remember.. Then turn around and shatter them or veering completely off course. So, Twilight was ok - it was a bit too stalker prominent, but heh.. New Moon, was this huge depressing pity party for Bella Swan, where it was ok for her to use people to find a little bit of happiness. Happiness that she didn't deserve or work for in return. Eclipse created SO many plot-holes for what was to become Breaking Dawn. Breaking Dawn broke EVERY rule that SM created in the series. She changed all of her characters... it just went to shit after Eclipse.. lol.

I believe this cannot be overlooked w/out serious damning response from the NCAA. I would like to see Miami banned from the NCAA for 5-10 years. U of Tennessee, Florida State, and USC are repeat offenders and they all got slaps on the wrist. The NCAA cannot keep functioning like this, because you get results like Miami, Auburn, Alabama, Ohio State... continuing to break the rules...

I don't know, I guess fear can drive a person to deny something that is obvious to everyone else... I just usually accept what they say and go on... no need to pull someone out of the closet that apparently isn't ready.

I wear flip flops all summer long.. when my feet start freezing in the fall is when I change.. lol. It's just easier to put them by the front door and slip them on to go out into the summer air... and for work I have to wear white plain jane tennis shoes when I'm seeing patients. Now that I've been promoted to Partner and am no longer seeing patients, I've been wearing feet killing dress shoes.. it makes me want to wear flip flops more.. Around here everyone wears flip flops in the summer... which is surprising since I live in Kentucky.. lol.

Hmm.. yeah, sexual orientations can't be switched on and off. If the guy is straight, but curious in fooling around, you're still setting yourself up to be shot down if you're wanting to move on to a more serious relationship. You can be his friend and should be his friend first. Feelings come and go, but if you were to try and force things you can lose his friendship.

Honestly, I don't see the point in coming out - you are who you are, to your friends and family already. Some people just put too much emphasis on Sexual Orientation. It doesn't really matter what you do in the bedroom or how you are in your private life. Sure, I guess it will be good to show up at a family function arm and arm with someone you love, but until then I just don't see the point in putting yourself out there. People should really think about coming out before they do it. I like to think we live in a place where people can be accepted for what ever they are, but we're not in that world yet.. So there's more than likely going to be something or someone that you'll lose in this transition... you can't really prepare for that, because you just don't know what will happen. You've already invested in the loves and friendships in your life, and you're only sixteen. What you've grown into will not change in two to three years, in that time I would prepare myself better for it. You've seemed to already make the decision that you'd like people to know everything about you, but maybe you've not taken the time to realize what exactly that means. At 16, if I was a lesbian I wouldn't come out of the closet.. I probably wouldn't come out of the closet until after college..

SIS 11 After a few hours passed, and neither of us catching any fish, I heard Clinton sigh. We were both sweating in the late afternoon heat, and I was sure my ears and face would be uncomfortably sunburned if we stayed out here in the sun much longer. We hadn’t done much talking, Clinton would give me tips when he noticed me struggling with the different lures he presented for me to try.
