Krista replied to Forgottenrealms's topic in The Lounge
I like Red/Brown, Blond/Brown/Hazel, or Dark Brown hair/black with Blue eyes. -

You selfish little shit.. lol. I'll not try to make myself sound nice or anything... but the person can be insanely giving and beautiful on the inside, but if there isn't any physical appeal - they're better off friends. There has to be both there to form a lasting impression on the level you are asking. It is always nice to bring people into our lives that are beautiful on the inside though no matter to what end the relationship is. All depends on what you're looking for... a lasting relationship happens with compromise and an emotional bond that you're more likely to get from a person that you think has inner beauty. If you want a sex toy.. then what's on the inside doesn't matter as much. But then again... people can bypass someone's physical flaws completely when they get to know a person on the level it would take to know if someone is beautiful on the inside. To summarize - I'd like to pick the beauty on the inside option, but I'm not one that is blind to outer attractiveness first. I'm a married woman though and the husband has it all in my eyes.. so I'm good. lol.

Sadly, I remember the tabloids surrounding them over the content within them, but I am familiar with a few, which is surprising.

To be on topic, I did like the show, it had a lot of potential... but then again, channels like HBO, Showtime, and Starz their series are short lived for the most part, because of the funding and writing and the like. Most of them are Pay to view - so when the budget outweighs the reward they get rid of it, no matter how quality it is. Not saying that this is the reason, maybe the writers/creators will end it justly and to carry it on would start to make it fail. It is better for these types of shows to end gracefully.. than to carry on and become trash.

Excuse me, but women are needed for everything in everyday life. To remove women from anything would be an excruciating mistake.

Well said Banger. I'll be watching most of the Olympics that I can.. kind of wish I took my vacation in the coming weeks instead of the first part of July.. hmm. Although, I'm going to miss the Women's fast pitch Softball games.. USA and Japan were starting a very nice rivalry, but I guess the rest of the world needed a catching up. Maybe one day it will be allowed back into the mix... And I am a MLB fan... and I have yet to post any of the hotties in uniform either.

LOL.. men.. hmm.

Happy Birthday Limpy!

Such a gentleman. lol.. hmm.. he probably should have whooped you for a number of other things though.

I'm not a fan of it either, not really... but maybe if I was able to look at it more personally it wouldn't look so odd standing out among the rest of the buildings. There definitely isn't a uniformity in the buildings around it.. and it does tower over them quite a bit. It would probably be something to see up close though. I'm not a sky scraper person, period. Places like New York, Chicago, and the like do nothing for me... I'll take my trees over towering buildings any day.

USA Women's soccer player came out as gay: http://olympics.yardbarker.com/blog/olympics/article/us_olympic_soccer_player_megan_rapinoe_reveals_she_is_gay/11159309 and a double amputee is running 4x400 and the 400 meter sprint. A lot of people say he has an advantage.. but I fail to see it. http://msn.foxsports.com/olympics/track/story/double-amputee-oscar-pistorius-selected-to-run-in-london-games-070412?ocid=ansfox11

Jesus Loves You... Unless You're Going to See Men's Gymnastic
Krista replied to Ashi's topic in The Lounge
Lol. You seem upbeat, that's good! Don't let the loud disruptions get in the way of enjoying life. I watch male and female gymnastics... wonder what that says about me.. -
Shew... that got the tears flowing.. such a terrible loss and reaction from his family that wouldn't take the time to understand their son had found true happiness and love. Then the throwing it out the window just made me mad...

Got tired of the SEC bringing home the trophy, eh? lol. I think it is about damn time a playoff is set up.. even if it is new and there are still a lot of problems with it.. I hated seeing over half the teams not be eligible for the Championship before the season even started... football needs to work on that a lot.

Athletes Women Would Cheat on their Husbands For
Krista replied to methodwriter85's topic in The Lounge
Lol.. hmm.. Eh, he'd be too boring.. and he'd probably annoy me. So no, he's not high on my list, but neither is David Beckham or anyone else on the list mentioned within the article. They are all attractive athletes, but my eyes are on Joey Votto. Too bad I'm happily married... and lucky for Aaron I think he's hot too. -
Lol.. Oh I look too.. but the Sporting is first.. how their junk looks in a speed is second...
-
Lol.. how about watching it for the sports aspects? Men *rolls eyes* My favorite is Gymnastics and Volleyball. I cringe when I watch international Basketball, so I tend to stay well away from that. Oh.. and it sucks that they removed Baseball and Softball/fast pitch softball from the events, I liked watching Fast Pitch softball men and women.

I need some technical information on Volleyball for a storey
Krista replied to Swhouston44's topic in The Lounge
If it is just a back yard game for fun.. the simple terminology will likely be sufficient. Volleyball has a lot of terms for a simple game, in beach and indoor competitive. Some basic ones would be: Backyard: The Serve: That is when the team of Offense, or the team that can score a point has the ball. One person steps just behind the out of bounds line and serves the ball. It has to go over the net, with out touching it.. and has to stay in the court. Spike: That is when a player leaps into the air and slams the ball over the net. It is an accelerated shot. Ace: A serve that the other team cannot return and it stays in the opposition's court and isn't touched by an opposing player. Set: Kind of like an Assist, a player will use the tips of their fingers on both hands to hit the ball straight into the air, for a second player to either spike it or hit it over the net. Dig: A player is on their knees or leaps for the ball and successfully keeps it in play and from hitting the ground. Kill: Serving team gets a point or Offense gets a point. It is usually a "stats" term and doesn't really apply to the game. Kills can happen on defense in competitive indoor/outdoor matches, but backyard fun.. only the team on Offense or the team that has the Serve can score a point. It makes the game more simple to understand and such. Bump: An underhanded hit on the ball, usually happens after a set or a serve. It is used a lot in backyard to just focus on getting the ball back over the net.. it is used defensively for the most part.. or in a last ditch effort to get it over the net. In Volleyball, the objective is to get the ball over the net in three attempts. If the team can get the ball over the net within three tries, then it is up for the other team to return the ball in three tries. If they cannot, then the game stopped. If it is the serving or team on offense, then they get a point. If the defense gets the ball over the net and it hits the court or the other team cannot get the ball over the net in three tries, then they get the serve and is now on offense. In competitive indoor play, there are a lot more rules. Back yard is extremely simplified in comparison. The score usually is to 21 and the team has to win by two points. Game Point is called when one team has 20 points, are two points ahead of the other team, and is on offense. There are usually six - eight players of the court on each side. Twelve to sixteen in all. In Beach, it is usually played in pairs. ----------- Anyway, I hope this helps. -
Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great one.

I played basketball and volleyball and did some competitive cheer since I had a gymnastics background as a kid...became too tall for that though, so I moved on. Gymnastics is all about form. Any little hesitation, break in form will be deducted from the score. It is judged and meant to be hard, just like figure skating. The human body isn't really made to absorb all the shock we put them through in sports. That is why so many football players end up with concussions, even while they're wearing the helmet. In basketball, I had two ACL ligament tears, both knees. I hurt my hip in gymnastics and my knee again in Volleyball. My knees bother me when I'm extremely active or if I have to be on them all day. My hip doesn't bother me at all, but that doesn't mean it won't when I get older. We are our own demise though... we create the moves.. the judges then have to adhere to them and gauge them on a scale of difficulty. When the competition is too closely matched, then someone will create a new stunt or a new technique that is more intricate and difficult... trying to get ahead. The judges see the wow factor and the difficulty of the maneuver and reward it. That is why you hear.. "This vault has a base start value of a 7.0." That means the stunt has been done a lot, has been judged, and that is what is agreed upon. The next vaulter could have one with a base start value of 9.5.. even if they landed it a little awkwardly and with a bit of strain on their body... their score will likely be higher than the 7.0 that was easier and landed perfectly. And I wouldn't let the moaning and groaning scare you too much, a lot of athletes do it. Some even do it for timing.. and some do it because they're trying to recreate their perfect scenario every time and if that includes a grunt, then they grunt. No different than Michael Phelps swinging his arms like a giant bird before they're called to start or a baseball batter's batting box routine.. you will notice that they do the exact same thing every time they prepare to bat or swim.
