Hey Well I didn't start out writing gay fiction. I actually have three novels on hold. One of them are finished, but I'm not comfortable enough to have someone look at it that's not friends or family. I hadn't really been a gay fiction reader as much either. So, how did I end up in Gay Fiction? It was my friends, I have three gay friends that pointed out to Nifty and they challenged me to start writing gay fiction. They couldn't get into most of what Nifty had to offer so I started, "Something Unexpected," and with their encouragment you get what I've done so far. Now though, they're too busy to read. That's their excuse anyway. So really I started writing by myself. It was after my junior year of high school when I wrote a short story. Krista

  8. Hi Cj, The prologue was enjoyable. There were some things that I found, but they were already pointed out.. lol. There's a lot to this story that is great. The description of the car was an attractive quality... lol. A guy that knows and enjoys a nice vehicle has always been amusing. Anyway, good start. I like where you're going with it. A lot of conflict can come from this prologue... So keep it coming. Krista
  9. Well 2000 posts in less than a year... Wow You still have two months, wanna make it 3000? I believe you have it in you. Pretty impressive for a lurker haha.. Congrats, Krista
  10. Well actually gifts that you can both do together would be something good. If it's a new relationship it could count as a date and a gift if you get like tickets to a concert or sporting event or something like that. Krista
  11. Well, Character development is what I look at first in my own writing. That's why I voted the way I did. I do though think a lot of factors are needed before a good story is made. Just answering the question in a way I look to write. Krista
  12. WoOt!! Congrats Kitty! Krista
  13. Well that article may have been satiric, but the other discussions in there that were full of opnions and facts actually was helpful in determining what I want out of one of my stories that I'm currently working on. So, David, i'm thanking you in a way for posting it.. lol. I certainly had the story going a different direction until I read some of the comments made on that site. Krista
  14. Hey, Well all I know about DST is that I always forget when to set all my clocks and I end up throwing a tantrum when I'm being woke up by a very cranky mother. Of course it's only when we lose an hour and the brats were late to school.. lol. Now I don't have to worry about it as I'm not responsible for their transportation, but shew. Anyway, DST, all I know about the History is that in Kentucky it really pissed the farmers off for some reason. I think it shortened their Harvest time in the Fall. I don't see any real reason to maintain DST, except people aren't to accustomed to drastic changes. AND, I'm so proud of you for finally starting a blog. I mean how can one of the most PROLIFIC members of GA not have one? Now we get to see how long winded you are. I hope you have fun with your blog, and I'm glad to be one of the first comments Krista
  15. It's always difficult knowing that someone is no longer with us. Especially someone that has enlightened and entertained. Added to the quality of good writing. I didn't know him, but I have read some and I know he'll be missed. Krista

  18. I found out about Gay Authors through Dom's Story links. I was convinced to post and become part of GA through a friend that told me it was better than Nifty and Yahoo Groups. Krista
  19. Extremely creative story, Cj! When I read it I liked the style and the changing POV's worked well and you made it flow. Definitely an original story that kept me guessing until the ending. I knew something scary would be happening... lol, shew... Anyway, I can't wait to read more fictions you come up with in the next few years. Krista
  20. Yes, I finally have a reason to like New Jersey... kidding, but eh. Maryland better or I'm going to have to disown my favorite state. The only reason why it's my favorite is because of the Men's College Basketball team.. and that was only because one of the former stars was cute... Anyway, Gay Marriage in New Jersey, I would have thought New York would have allowed it, but nice to see that other states are taking steps towards freedomes that people deserve Krista
  21. Well look at this forum.. lol. A bit amusing. Side note, baby goats or, kids are extremely cute. And someone said that they watched a show about Homosexual tendencies in animals and wanted to know what channel that was on. It was on Logo for sure, I watched it once at like 6 in the morning. Krista
