Hey, Yes, I get asked that all the time as well. "Why are you writing gay stories?" And, I'd always just tell them, there are some gay characters and some straight ones in every story so I don't see it as a homosexual story. But, I've never met anyone as determined to get their point across as you or I probably wouldn't have been as civil... lol. I think it comes with the territory of women writers writing about male anything. I probably can't see that person asking a gay man why he's writing about gay characters. Or someone asking a man why he's writing about male characters. Krista

Hey Maybe what was said was out of honesty? It is honest and rational to say things like that. That could have been in an heightened emotional state of mind. To wonder if what they said came from the heart isn't for you to say or for you to condemn them for. When you start defining what is beneath or above your moral code of living it comes across as being a personal attack or preachy. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy people rejoicing over someone's death probably about as much as you do, but I won't condemn them or think lowly of them for doing so. As I see it as nothing more as an honest expression for a person who they felt personally attacked by every time he opened his mouth. I think expressing your opnion is fine as long as you can look the other direction and not put others people down when they do the same, wait until you can step away from what was said and discuss it with a level head. Sometimes your posts and the posts of others here didn't seem that way. Even my own post could be looked at as being dripping with hate for Jerry Falwell. Krista

Hey, Well all I can say is that I think you're a great person. It's ok to be angry, it's honest and rational and you shouldn't feel torn or bad about the anger that you're feeling. As long as you remember overall and at the end of the day that you're human and a great person the past won't be as overwhelming. Anyway, more people need to have your strength. Even if you don't see it or you don't think it's there, you're a strong person. Krista

I'm not going to - Only because I don't have a job.. lol. I feel so bad when I answer these when they deal with jobs. The longest and only job I ever had was working as a waitress for I guess 15 minutes... you wouldn't believe how cold hearted hungry people can be... Plane. Long travels in a car is just.. sickening.. lol. I would spend more time on the side of the road gagging from car sickness than actually enjoying the trip. So if I do have to travel a long way then flying is the way to go. Photography or Painting Krista

Eh.. anyone who writes anything is an author of some kind. I am driven by the characters more than me leading them. It's a little of both, I think it has to be to a point, only to keep the characters in check to what their normal personalities are. As for them growing with scenarios, I think that's the most important part about a character. Is that they can adapt and change with what writers throw at them in their stories. Reading a story where something tragic happened to the character - like their dog dying and then being chipper the next day as if the dog never existed just annoys me... lol. So characters have to change, it adds depth and feeling to them, making them more complex and real. It makes them enjoyable and the story is just complimentary to good characters. Krista
