Our flight from Austin to Newark wasn’t too bad. Both Lucas and I were feeling a little sore from sitting so long, plus we remained on our self-induced no booze ban, so were probably feeling the effects of the flight more, not being half-charged. After quickly getting out of the airport, we headed to our apartment to relax for a bit. It was just off Grand Street, lower East Side, so easy to get around. Thanks for the fantastic chapter loved it. Feel for Kevin and understand him a little more too. If you think about the people they are , Kevin and Becker aren’t so different, the both have a huge disconnect going on and see life through a prism that is self serving (we all do I guess too right, haha or is that me). Hey all, thanks for the fantastic comments and feedback on the chapter. The backstory of Paul is one of a guy who's just an arse. And sometimes in friends you can overlook their faults and failings due to friendship until its a massive problem, that is what happened with Brady and Paul. Brady's moves to try and placate Paul, or make excuses for him, did nothing but in hindsight allow Paul to be more of an ass, also Brady was struggling with his own feeling's and sexuality... we're all human and not perfect by a long shot so was the perfect storm to allow Paul to continue. As to why Brady ended up with Linda in the first place, read on. And Hat's off to @FanLit Cam certainly has got his head in the game and knows whats going on, we will find out more about Cam and Justin in 2019. Hey thanks @Daddydavek other than the physical inability for Jamie to get Ben in to bed with him earlier, there has been opportunities for them too, but Jamie is really taken with Ben, trying to understand the confusion and apprehension he's feeling with Ben, is it love, is it lust, is it thanks for saving his life... and to top it off Ben seems to be well received by the wider Spence family and his friends at home, who are quite interested watching all of this. So glad you're in for the ride, the next few chapters are already written and in my humble opinion it getting interesting, to say the least... have an awesome week, thanks again, John.

thanks, @jaysalmn I guess a near-death experience is going to do exactly that, your right. Understanding where Jamie is coming from is complex, he never wanted to go on this trip, but in the end, did. He's not been looking for a partner or long-term relationship with anyone, he's just having a holiday and trying to put all the bad stuff behind him. His happy go lucky personality seems to draw people closer, Sam and Jamie - if they had met earlier and Jamie had been free of his failed marriage for longer they would have had a chance, and Sam knows that as we will see. But he was only recently divorced and still feeling the ill effects of that, even though their marriage was horrible its still hurt on a level. Josh was an amazing guy, but neither of them were looking for anything long-term, but Jamie seems to bring out the best in a lot of people, in particular, those that he forms a connection with. In this story thus far, the only person that has had their heart broken and/or filled with despair is Jamie, we finally find out a key part of Jamie's history, the death of the guy that he still loves today. As is everything, we all interpret feeling's, thought's and scenarios individually, none of the comments made by you or others here are wrong, in fact, they are all correct. I really appreciate the time you invested in commenting and hope the story keeps you engaged and of course commenting, have a fantastic week, enjoy. John.

Hey, @Bushman60 thanks for following along and commenting, your comments are well placed in the major. Your correct in a lot of ways Jamie isn't so complex but has successfully compartmentalized sections of his life off, work - loss and love - every day Jamie. You are correct in that Jamie and Lucas as very thankful to Ben and his offsider for helping them at the MVA, to add to it, Lucas is quite taken with how much of a nice guy Ben really is beyond work, and I think secretly hope that Jamie and Ben can make it work, distance career's and Jamie's ability to hit the self-destruct button will be factors. Has Jamie broken hearts, I guess a few, but that's happened to him as well, he's 30, so it unrealistic to suggest that this has not happened. Has he intentionally injured anyone, no? The whole Sam issue was untidy, clumsy and not thought through by others, but Jamie made it clear to Sam that he was going away and did not want to hold him (Sam) back, also being honest with Sam, hold himself back either. If they had been seeing each other or had entered into a relationship then broke it off to go on holidays, well, I'd be pretty pissed at Jamie for doing that at his age, 18 or 19 I get that, but not at 30. thank you @Bft , I think Jamie did slip into something when he faded to black... I'm guessing that was one of the occasions that they had to revive him on scene. explains the sore chest for weeks afterward, it doe's seem that Sean did give Jamie some relief from the pain he was in at the time, and Jamie seems a little more settled since. maybe facing his own mortality again for the second time will help him with his..... focus. hahaha. Luca's and Jamie are closer than anything, wafer-thin gap between them and their love for each other and friendship couldn't be closer, as first cousins although there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, well anymore than what they probably experimented with when they were younger, boys.. thanks for commenting and following along really appreciate it , have an awesome week, John
