I was watching the last season of "Big Love" when I heard about his passing. He is sublime in that show and in everything that he did. Thank you for honoring his memory.

He was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Midnight Express" (1978). And was nominated for his second Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Actor for "The Elephant Man" (1980). Both movies are among the best ones that I have ever seen and are very hard to watch; I recall that I was in my early teens the first time that I watched them, and could not sleep very well thinking about them. I definitely recommend them. Thank you for honoring this magnificent actor, you're very sweet and attentive.

Love her in her only Oscar nominated role in "Ordinary People" (1980).

If you haven't seen Oscar-winning "Ordinary People" (1980), you should. Mary is outstanding in her role and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role (in my opinion, she had more of a supporting role, and would have won the Oscar had she campaigned in that category). You won't regret it, it's one of the best pictures ever made.

I cannot believe that you have not written anything new in four years, when you used to write at least one story a year since 2006 when you started. Nowadays, most people are "brave" enough to seek help; the same has happened with Asperger's Syndrome: I was diagnosed with it only three years ago. I asked both my grandmother and mother about it, and they told me that the majority of parents used to be embarrassed and ashamed to go to a psychiatrist to seek out help for themselves, let alone for their children. Other people's opinions and perception were very important in the past, and there was too much ignorance: no one wanted to be known as the parent, sibling, or friend of a "crazy person." Thank goodness that things have changed for the best!

I watched the series "Tales of the City" (1993), "More Tales of the City" (1998), and "Further Tales of the City" (2001) last year. I especially loved the performances by Olympia Dukakis (Mrs. Anna Madrigal), Laura Linney (Mary Ann Singleton), Paul Hopkins (Michael Tolliver in seasons 1 and 2) and Billy Campbell (Dr. Jon Fielding). In my opinion, season 1 was the best, and I disliked immensely when they replaced four major characters for season 2. Michael and Jon are my favorite couple from the show, but Anna Madrigal was the most interesting and fascinating character by far; I love her relationship with Edgar Halcyon. I enjoyed the show so much that I watched it in one sitting. I did purchase the whole book series, but I have not read it yet; I still have tons of books that I "should" read first before starting with the "Tales of the City" series. I hope the Netflix revival is as good as the original SHOWTIME series. Thank you for posting!

In my opinion, most people have good intentions. You just have to see how most of us react when something terrible happens: a natural disaster; a terrorist attack; a car, boat, or plane accident, you name it. I have known people who did not have the best reputation who reacted the best when tragedy arose. Some believe that most people are evil because of the information that the media feeds on them, after all, good news is not a profitable as catastrophes, killings, or robberies. But that cannot be further than the truth. Thank you for posting.

There's nothing else for me to add to what you've already eloquently said. I was not aware of this film, so I thank you for publishing this post; I'll see the film as soon as I possible can.

I don't even stay at coffee shops to drink my coffee!

I terribly miss the fact that people were not glued to their handheld devices back then! Don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone, but I can definitely live without it; some people depend upon their smart phones to do absolutely everything! They don't bother building up friendships or going out to the zoo or a museum. When I was little, I used to play with my friends on the streets; nowadays, you see babies playing with tablets. Yes, thanks to technology, I can have my whole music and book libraries on my fingertips, but lots of things have been lost because of it. I miss the simplicity of those days, BUT not the bigotry that we as homosexuals were subjected to.

Other fond memories: My father renting "An American Tale" (1986), "The Little Mermaid" (1989), "Beauty and the Beast" (1991), "Aladdin" (1992), "The Lion King" (1994), "Pocahontas" (1995), "Toy Story" (1995), "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (1996), "Hercules" (1997), "Anastasia" (1997), "Mulan" (1998), "Tarzan" (1999), and many, many more! Collecting tazos, cards, Gogo's Crazy Bones, and sticker albums. Buying magazines for the posters. Waiting every week to watch my favorite show. Carrying around a CD player with a bag full of CDs to play. Shakira and Britney Spears were my favorite 1990s singers. I remember going to the music store to get the cassettes or CDs. "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers," "Rugrats," "Clarissa Explains It All," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Ghostwriter," "Rocko's Modern Life," "Johnny Bravo," "Dexter's Laboratory," "The Powerpuff Girls," "The Angry Beavers," "Hey, Arnold!" "Cow and Chicken," "Courage the Cowardly Dog," "Doug," "As Told by Ginger," "Dragon Ball," "Pokémon," "Cardcaptor Sakura," "Sailor Moon," "Saint Seiya," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Charmed," among many more, were my favorite shows. I could go on and on, but I what I truly miss the most was how carefree my childhood years were; to know that they aren't coming back is sometimes hard to accept.

I was born in the 1990s, and I loved playing "Mortal Kombat," "Super Mario 3," "Alfred Chicken," "Donkey Kong Country," "Street Fighter," among many others, on my Super Nintendo. Then, my parents got a Nintendo 64 for me, and I loved "Pokémon Snap," "Pokémon Stadium," "Pokémon Stadium 2," "Super Mario 64," "Mario Kart 64," "Super Smash Bros." and many more! As you can see, I was obsessed with Pokémon, and still are! Lots of fond memories playing "Pokémon Blue," "Pokémon Red," "Pokémon Yellow," "Pokémon Gold," "Pokémon Silver," and "Pokémon Crystal" with my Game Boy Color. Beautiful memories linking my Game Boy Color with my friends in order to trade Pokémon and have battles. I had the cards, too! Twenty years later, and I'm still a huge Pokémon fan! I received a Play Station in 1999 and my favorite game was "Battle Arena Toshinden 3."

I would never show any type of public display of affection in public, because I personally don't like it. But I don't mind seeing other people holding hands and kissing.

I had not really noticed before, but you're right! On that note, I remember Katy Perry was accused of cannibalism and "spirit cooking" last year when her video "Bon Appétit" was released for consumption.

Is that why some people are claiming that the media is shoving homosexuality down their throats?!
