I couldn't resist. It's such a good descriptor. 🤣 I'm sure the source is absolutely amazing 😉 Comments are vital. Oftentimes a reader brings up a point or looks at something in a whole other way from where I was going. Occasionally it requires edits further down the line to address something I never considered. The jury is still out on Cassiel, but the verdict will most likely be favorable. Huntington will pay. It just might take a while. You and everyone else will be on pins and needles until they're safe.

Any kind of distant relationship there is, is just that. The shifter/supernatural world isn't all that big. Most shifters have common roots somewhere back along the line. The important take away is that Elijah now has some background as to how things work. Huntington probably gained the favor in some nefarious way. The King can be annoyed, but he doesn't necessarily have to act on the news unless it directly becomes an issue for him. I mean... he "banished" Cassiel to the human realm. That tells me he doesn't make humans his first priority. You're wrong... Mama's cookie fix everything. Especially the warm snickerdoodles...mmmmmm.

Cassiel is a minor character. An important one, but still minor. That's not to say we won't see him again at some point. It might not be until much later though. Yes, there will always be a piece of Kage in Elijah. That won't ever change. Montana I think will become more and more important to Elijah, possibly Tyler too.

I'm not sure if there's really a connection to be had between the quartz stone and Kage's scar he left behind. I think when our loved ones are gone, they sometimes find a way to remind us of them. Regardless of hardships, my characters do tend to find the right balance between the good and bad in life. Elijah’s love life match is but a distant wish at this point. He's still grappling with losing Kage. There does have to be a connection between light and dark. That's all I'm saying on that topic. Thanks for commenting!
