It's a great genre and I've always been partial to the supernatural world. Stephen King got me hooked when I was 11 or 12. This was my first foray into it as a writer. It was fun. I hope you enjoy and feel free to comment along the way!

Takeaways from chapter 3: 1. Prince Albert Drawing Room. I see what you did there. 😏🤭 2. I found 'oiks and yobs', but what the hell does a 'mug' refer to? 3. I really need to brush up on my British slang.

Takeaways from chapter 2: 1. Attworthy and Tohjani, long-standing friendships will always stand the test of time. 2. The Middle East. Fascinating history, but for the most part the political systems and social structures are totally effed up. 3. Bijan. Poster child for what is wrong with this world when there are still so many corners where it's not okay to love someone of the same sex. 4. Shari'a Law. Of all the messed up, archaic, idiotic "laws", that one needs to be the first to go. I didn't understand it when I learned about it in high school a million years ago, and I don't ever want to try to understand it. 5. Wonder who's going to go rescue Bijan? 🤔

A few takeaways from chapter 1: 1. Lady Elizabeth Catherine Mary Sandringham, a woman with a massive stick up her ass. 2. Ormolu clock. Had to look that one up. Never knew those gilded, ornate clocks had a name. 3. Uncle Party. Good chap, but needs a lesson in "being gay is okay". 4. Ned. He sounds hot. 🔥 5. Woolen underwear? Isn't that itchy? 6. Great start. Live the intrigue. Looking forward to more.

It's been 30ish years since I read the Canterbury Tales and quite honestly our English teacher focused more on what the characters were wearing. She was quite the fashionista. Two of my best friends were in the class, do naturally I remember next to nothing. Time to catch up to y'all!

I need the comic relief. My morning started with both my maintenance guys calling off, the manager next door was being a dick to our lawn guy...I had to play mediator, I'm trying to get a catering order ready for pick up tomorrow because my maintenance supervisor's last day is Wed. (The only reason he's leaving is because the manager next door is a dick), then while stopping at our 3rd community to get that manager's donation to the gift card, I roll up onto them calling 911 because our other maintenance guy broke a gas line. Jeezus H. I can't make this shit up! @spyke can testify to dumbfuckery of property management.

If, in fact Loe is in need of a nurse, I really can't picture him having any say in the matter. I picture Jay with a spoon for hand feeding in one hand and wet wipes in the other. Every convenience imaginable within his reach, and the ultimate "mom" scowl ready to be wielded at the slightest hint of protest outta Loe. Poor dude.
