I enjoy reading and writing stories where the characters have distinct ways of speaking. It's something that I need to pay more attention to on my own writing. It's often difficult because, at least for me, I write what the characters tell me to write, and because they're in my head, they often speak like I do. I do try to switch it up. I currently have a story where a minor character speaks rather formally. Proper sentence structure, no contractions. My biggest problem is trying to teach the damn autocorrect that slang and regional dialects exists. If I drop a 'g' it always tries to add it back 🙄 Tanks fer sharin wif us!

Thanks for that visual Wayne. I needed it. I had the worst shitter of a day that I've had in a long time. I don't even want to be in my own company too much longer. Time for me to go shower off my own stink as I just got home from the gym.

We saw Morbius tonight (I know, I know...another Marvel-ish movie) anyway...the trailers advertised a series coming to Prime called Outer Range that looks really good. I hardly ever watch TV anymore, but I might give this a try. I think it drops April 15th. It's tagged as a paranormal cult western.

It's a great genre and I've always been partial to the supernatural world. Stephen King got me hooked when I was 11 or 12. This was my first foray into it as a writer. It was fun. I hope you enjoy and feel free to comment along the way!

I need the comic relief. My morning started with both my maintenance guys calling off, the manager next door was being a dick to our lawn guy...I had to play mediator, I'm trying to get a catering order ready for pick up tomorrow because my maintenance supervisor's last day is Wed. (The only reason he's leaving is because the manager next door is a dick), then while stopping at our 3rd community to get that manager's donation to the gift card, I roll up onto them calling 911 because our other maintenance guy broke a gas line. Jeezus H. I can't make this shit up! @spyke can testify to dumbfuckery of property management.

If, in fact Loe is in need of a nurse, I really can't picture him having any say in the matter. I picture Jay with a spoon for hand feeding in one hand and wet wipes in the other. Every convenience imaginable within his reach, and the ultimate "mom" scowl ready to be wielded at the slightest hint of protest outta Loe. Poor dude.
