Thanks so much! It's really satisfying to get feedback such as yours. It's what fuels me as a writer. I truly appreciate comments throughout the story. Til next time... ❤

It was out for about an hour and a half. Just long enough for the house to start getting too hot. Luckily it cooled off pretty quick. I love watching thunderstorms too. There's just something about then that's awesome. Florida has some pretty incredible lightning shows too.

My worst summer nightmare.... big ol' thunderstorm and we've lost power. Ugh. Hope it doesn't last long. It's too damn hot.

What did Obi-Wan say to Luke when he had trouble with using chopsticks at the Chinese restaurant? Don't groan too much. It made me chuckle. Have a good Saturday y'all!

Chapter 22 Bonus Snippet and Author's Note

I'm glad I surprised you with it. The only thing that sucked was I had to figure out all the effing commas on my own 🤣🤣 -
I think Comicfan would have been proud. Really nice job tim. ❤

I think you've hit upon something important tim. For any artist, and by that I mean writer, painter, musician, actor, being able to step back and put something you've worked on, on hold, I think is a sign of growth. The ability to learn is ongoing. I just turned 53 last week and I hope I have many years of learning ahead of me. Knowledge is powerful. If you have to put something aside for the sake of being able to go back to it and learn why it's good, bad, how it can be improved, or if it needs to be deleted, then no matter what you've learned something. I just finished a story today. It was the first story that I had an editor from start to finish. She was great to work with, did not hold back on constructive criticism, made great suggestions on how to word something just a little differently so that it flowed better. She also taught me that I have a serious mental block when it comes to commas. (I honestly don't know why I forget them so often). I'm rambling, sorry. The gist of it is, I learned a lot by stepping back and letting someone else take a look. When I got stuck, she waited patiently, occasionally bounced ideas back and forth until the cogs started moving again. I truly appreciate the help and I believe the story came out better because of it. Stephen King is my all-time favorite author. The man is incredible when it comes to weaving stories and interweaving multiple books. The Dark Tower series blew me away with how he connected so many of his works. Pure. Genius. I've not read On Writing , but I think I may have to. I'm sure I will learn from it. As always, thanks for your thoughts. They always make me think. 😉 But i try to do the best i can, with what i have. ....and you succeed quite well tim. Have a good evening.

Thanks Chris! The "Lucy" story has been in my brain since my kids were little. I finally found the right home for it. I wrote down a few days ago but @Kapucinski inspired me to add the beginning paragraph from Bruce's POV. I like how it turned out. -

Thanks!❤ -
Thank you Belisima! It always make me do a little happy dance to hear feedback like yours. I'm not sure if these guys will show up again. Maybe? If they do make an appearance I really hope I don't have such a hard time coming up with a title! This one got sent to my editor labeled "untitled chapter...whatever" Kim’s story has been rattling around my brain for a while, just took some time to find the right characters to deal with it. Sorry about the cliffies! (Not really🤭)

Bruce, Rosie and Tater had spent the evening running around the backyard while their humans ate the yummy smelling food. Now the three dogs were sitting in front of Kim. Bruce’s one ear twitched when he heard his human’s voice. “Down.” Bruce lay down and Rosie and Tater followed suit. Kim laughed as she opened a book and set it on her lap, “Good dogs," she said, getting three tail wags in return. Then she started to read: Lucy Meets the Monsters Lucy was bored. Her boys wer

Thanks! No plans for a sequel yet. There's other stuff in the vault that I need to dust off. But you never know!

Kyle is still processing the whole 'other sibling' issue. Maybe one of these days if another story along this arc is in the cards, it can be addressed further. Dry heat is hot. I was in Madrid one July and it was in the upper 90s but low humidity. Still. Freaking. HOT!! Hopefully the descendants of the Thing brothers will think long and hard before having biological kids of their own and watch them carefully if they do procreate. Hmmmm, Skippy the poodle? Might have to work that in somehow. Thanks travlbug, you've been with me since the beginning and I appreciate you following along 🥰
