  1. So, it's been a while since the poetry muse has slapped me upside the head, but..... Walking the dogs tonight I was treated to a gorgeous sunset. The colors were reminiscent of gemstones and precious metals. The words were all jumbled up in my head, but here's what they morphed into: Daylight's Graceful Death I watch the sky Rays slowly fade As day faces death One final gasp Light's final breath Exhaling colors Precious gems Priceless metals The sky is ablaze Pink quartz, rose gold Pearl and opal clouds Aquamarine skies An amber sun Turns ruby red Kisses sapphire waves Garnet and gold Fading quickly Obsidian spreads Diamond lit stars Appear one by one In the onyx sky Day is no more Now yesterday Night takes a deep breath I watch the sky Darkness beckons A new night is born
  2. You should be proud of your brother and sister-in-law. Moving forward after the loss of a child is unimaginable. Every 'first' without them, birthday, Christmas, Mothers/Father's day, seeing another child becoming an adult, must hurt tremendously. I'm not sure I could do it. I understand your pride. I feel that way whenever I talk to either of my brothers who lost their only boys. I can relate to the worry of a child far away. As parents, the worrying will never go away. It's part of the unconditional love we have for our kids. You are an amazing mom, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
  3. Hi molly! I've been busy this week. The big boss was in town. So of course now there's more projects to work on. What sucks is they've pretty much backed my co-worker into a corner. She lives an hour away and they knew this when they hired her. She's not willing to sell her house and move closer so they're going to get someone else. At least they've hooked her up with a recruiter and are letting her stay for 90 days or until she finds something. Other than that, just work and working out. Keeping an eye on Fred, look like we're just gonna get rain dumped on us. Just what we need. *sarcastic eye roll*. I'm off to water aerobics and work. Have a good day everyone!

    Chapter 18

Love seeing JJ again. The little shit has quite grown on me. I'm thinking Will may end up kicking a hornets nest at the party! Hmmm, whatever could you be brewing Mr. Arbour?
  5. .....But wait! Does this mean no cliffies? (Your crown may be in jeopardy! 🤣🤣)
  6. You had to go and dangle that teaser in front us. Well.... now go..... go write! Stop reading. Just go back to writing. You can't leave us hanging in anticipation now! Seriously..... WRITE!!! ❤ (soooooo looking forward to this!)
  7. So true! Thanks for sharing molly!
  8. I wonder if the Lysol/bleach injection would work better if combined with a Tide pod? 🤔 Maybe the Darwin Finalists can check it out?
  9. Stalk away...lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I'm pretty sure Kyle and Megan haven't inherited any type of dysfunctional heebie jeebies from the evil twins. Yes, the dogs stole the show.... I still bring up the Monsters occasionally with my younger son. He usually rolls his eyes at me! I've got a few other stories posted, I'd love to know what you think of those! Working on another one too. Hopefully it won't take too long.
  10. I think you hit the nail on the head tim. When I was little my dad used to have a '55 Chevy Bel Air. It was candy apple red and pearl white. He used it to drag race (before I was born). The name of the car? "Happiness is...." Because of this I've always believed that happiness is whatever you want it to be. Charles Schultz published a book called "Happiness Is". It was a short book of Snoopy and Charlie Brown and their happy things. My favorite was 'happiness is a warm puppy'. Hope everyone's having a good week.
  11. Good news! Younger son got his license today!! I will enjoy not having to pick him up at 11pm on work nights anymore....yay! When I texted my husband to see how it went he sent back; He be like- this (hopefully the link works) Today was raining all day so it was pretty quiet. Hope everyone had a good day.
  12. Wow. Today was a really busy day, pretty much since the minute my alarm so rudely dragged me from the depths of sleep this morning. There's nothing like a payroll Monday coinciding with 1st of the month rent checks to process, a deposition summons at the courthouse on our shotgun dude, plus the boss wanting a list of all capital expenditure projects over the last year (which the previous mgr didn't keep track of) by 3pm, taking pictures of the concrete driveway that was poured at the new house today, then trying to track down a maintenance guy after they all clocked out, for a sewer back up. Add in a session with a personal trainer, then fixing dinner. And I still have to walk the dogs and go pick up my son later. At least I didn't have to deal with having someone trying to drive a 24ft moving truck under a portico with about 10ft clearance when the truck was obviously not going to fit. Yeah.... my coworker next door gets to deal with that headache. (Seriously... how does someone not know that a truck that's almost 15 feet high won't fit under a 10ft clearance 🙄🤔) Is it Friday yet? Hope everyone else had a smooth Monday!

    Chapter 17

I love Will's devious sense of humor. I can just picture the initial look on Stef's face when Will hit 'play' 🤭🤭. Will and Marie at Harvard will be good for both of them. Can't wait to hear from JJ again. NY is always interesting when any of the gang is in town. Write faster! 😜
  14. Mine doesn't ask Alexa... he makes up his own. It's like an invasive species you can't get rid of....🙄
  15. It's good to hear from you rick. Lots of positive thoughts heading your way. Keep taking care of yourself. *hugs*
  16. Had my complimentary consultation with a personal trainer tonight. I. Can't. Feel. My. Legs! I have a feeling I'm going to be pretty sore tomorrow, but I feel good. I signed up for once a week training sessions. I need the consistent motivation and accountability. They provide a workout to follow on the days I'm not with a trainer. I would like to do 3 days a week with a trainer, but it's a little bit out of the budget. Once a week is pushing it. But it's for a good reason. My health is worth it, and one of these days my mind might actually admit that I'm worth it. Still working on that. I'm happy for you molly that you had good feedback from the president of your company. And I feel your pain when it comes to other people not following procedures. Hope y'all have a nice night!
  17. Well, I took another step in the right direction on this little journey to better health. Joined a gym with my husband. It's got a pool and aqua fitness classes, which I've done before and really enjoy. My knees can't do any kind of impact, so the water option is perfect. Right now the only class I can go to is Saturday mornings. They are supposed to be adding evening classes soon. So... weight training and elliptical for me. I'm hoping to get in 3-5 days a week. 🤞 Happy Friday Eve!
  18. I'm really glad you enjoyed them! I'm currently rereading a story I started working on a couple of years ago so I can start working on it again. Hopefully it won't take too long. Thanks for reading and commenting.
  19. Tonight is date night. Now that hubby works overnight shifts, we decided to do something one night during the week. He's been chomping at the bit to see Black Widow so it's dinner and movie night. I'm waiting for the weather to cool off so we can go do sunset walks on the beach.... gotta get thru August and September. Hope everyone enjoys their evening!
  20. But they go so well with fishnet stockings!
  21. When it comes to anxiety, there doesn't always have to be a 'why'. It just is sometimes. Do what you need to do, plus some extra big breaths. (Besides, you were just at the vet's yesterday so hopefully you're up to date on your shots! 😊😁, and maybe, just maybe, I made you smile. [Or at least an eye roll])
  22. Thanks! I really appreciate your comments.
