I've already had to retrace my steps this morning. I grabbed my husband's work phone by mistake. Was halfway to work when he called and had to turn around (he did offer to meet me halfway but I knew by the time he got out the door I'd be almost home). By the time I got to work 2 of 3 maintenance guys called out. Add in my boss flying back down here today and.... ahhhhhh Monday. Namaste everyone!

Ninja Baby 🥷 👶 🤣🤣 More like terrorizing toddler! Aidan is rounding the corner, heading for the terrible twos! Brace yourselves! As for Operation Butter Biscuit? Yes, Mrsgnomie could definitely have come up with something better, but Matt? Not so much. He has Aidan Fried Brain Syndrome. Seamus debauched? I can picture that!🤭😊🤤🤣

Today was a good day. Cooking is still going on. So far so good. I've recently (beginning of March) started on a journey that I've started many, many times in my life. One I'm sure that some of you have taken part in as well. I've been fat since I was 9 years old. Over the past year I hit a mark that I am totally ashamed of. My self esteem went totally in the proverbial toilet. I've tried many many diets and programs. Weight Watchers so many times I'm surprised they don't have a revolving door for me. I always felt shamed into weight loss before. I seriously considered surgery, but even with insurance the price is too much. This time I am not doing it for any other reason other than wanting to be completely selfish and think of myself for a change. I looked at a few programs, even signed up for WW online, then after a few days cancelled it because I'd been down the road before and knew it wasn't a good fit for me. I signed up for Noom because they tackle pretty every aspect of weight loss. It's a lot of psychology, which until I experienced group therapy after the fallout of what happened to my son, I had been skeptical. Part of their program is teaching accountability and encouraging me to tell people what I'm doing. That's something I've struggled with in the past. It's always embarrassed me. It's still embarrassing, but I'm learning to deal with it. It's going to be a long journey, with plenty of ups and downs. But I know where to come to when I need a little encouragement or to celebrate a milestone achievement. This forum is amazing. It's the only place where I can let myself be exactly who I am and not be judged. Thanks for being here. xo

It's in the oven now🙂

We're supposed to get some rain. So far just clouds. Cooking is on the agenda for today. Meat sauce is simmering in the crock pot and I have a recipe for Spiced Moroccan Chicken soup that I want to try. I also bought some spaghetti squash so if anyone has any tips on the best way to cook it.... that'd be great. Oh yeah...found some more of the mystery fish in the freezer so more zucchini boats to make! Have a good day!

16 chapters done. Three or four-ish more to go. Hardest part of this one is coming up with a title🤔

Nothing strikes fear into a Floridian faster than coming home and discovering your house is 8 degrees higher than what your A/C thermostat is set on. Thankfully it was just a clogged drain pipe and ten minutes with the wet/dry vac took care of it. At least it's nice out and it would've been OK if we had to do without for the night. Another month and I probably would've headed to a hotel for the night. My tolerance for sleeping in heat and humidity disappeared a long time ago!

One of the hardest things we have to do is face our own inner struggles, our doubts, our fears, our inner demons that pounds, knocks, or slithers within us. You are amazing in the way you fight your battles with words. I admire that about you tim, I really do. Thanks for sharing.

Well I missed the SpaceX launch this morning by about 10 minutes. I saw the cool pretzel clouds though. I didn't even realize there was a launch today. Right after we first moved down here my son's baseball game got halted when one of the space shuttles launched. Most unusual time out I've heard called so far. Hope everyone has a happy Friday!

That's good news rick. You have a good night too.

He took his anger out by grabbing Matt’s hair and screaming at a decibel so high that dogs across town started barking. I seriously heard that sound in my head the first time I read it and again tonight. Nothing in the world quite like it! He’s mobile and kind of an asshole. Y'all have no idea....no really. 🤣 I like the way this chapter brings out the better side of Matt. He really is a likeable guy. (I will concede to his cluelessness)

I didn't feel the first one at all. This time...yeesh! My brother sent out a text letting us know that Mom had her 2nd shot today too. More relief. Now he's trying to figure out how to stop her from hiding the TV remotes and the portable phone. He couldn't find them for a few hours. My other brother told him to look in the trunk of the '55 under the Christmas presents. I died laughing. My parents used to hide presents in the trunk of my Dad's '55 Chevy Bel Air. Candy apple red and pearl white. He drag raced with it in the early 60s before I was born. It's been years since I thought about that...good memories.

Second shot done today!! (I felt it this time...that girl stabbed that needle into me like she was on a mission!) There's such a feeling of relief now. It's nice. Hope everyone has a good evening.

I hope your brother has a smooth recovery and happy that you're looking out for yourself. Thanks for checking in Chris.

To the guys who so nicely set off fireworks tonight while I was out walking, scaring the hell outta my dog.... Dudes, you're doing it all wrong. Fireworks are not what you're supposed to light up on 4-20! 🙄🤭

Love your cannister set! So pretty! (The salsa looks yummy too)

Merely suggesting. Strongly 😉

Unless you're on the route for the marathon!

It sure is. The past four years didn't bother me. This year does. Good luck with the crown.

Nothing but rain in the forecast for the next two days. Yuk. Today is a hard day. It would've been my Dad's 90th birthday. Hope you all have a better day today.
