Don't forget, everyone is entitled to feel whatever they want to about any character of mine. But you do make a good point...Miles hasn't asked for a second chance. The only thing he asked for was some time to try to explain why he did what he did. I think he needed closure on that part of their life as much as Troy did.

I'm sure Erik believes that he was protecting Troy, and in a way, Miles too. As far Miles resisting temptation... He is. He made it a point to let Troy know that Owen is invited to dinner too. How painful must that be for him to acknowledge to himself that he lost what could potentially be the love of his life and still include him in a dinner invitation? **Steps off soapbox**

If there is one takeaway from this chapter it should be that the playing field is level. Miles and Troy are both operating as adults, not the kids that they were. Hopefully they'll be able to foster whatever type of relationship that will define their future on mature level.

You're right. I don't want to say that these two have too much history together, but it's safe to say they have an intense history together. Platonic is going to be problematic at some point. The question is ... who is gonna crack first?
