Some of me and tim's chat conversations revolve solely around food. It's ridiculous how many cravings he's caused me. I think it might go both ways though. My 'recipes' folder in my phone is about a mile long with links thanks to him... I love it.. I now have a slew of great things to make.
Well...it seems like Matt and Andy are stumbling through this whole figuring our where they stand thing. Neither one wants to admit that they have no idea how to define their relationship.
At this point calling it "friends" is still tentative. Hopefully the next few days will allow them to get to know each other.
Gwen is slowly getting there. Anxiety can be a vicious beast to conquer. She should take a page from Matt's book and find a therapist to help. Thankfully she's making strides with how she handles her relationship with Matt. The dinner should be a success.
Great job tim!
Never an intentional insult to dogs for sure... but @weinerdog? we've already verified that he's an ankle biter and we're pretty sure he pees on the carpet on purpose. No idea how he's avoiding the surveillance cameras... they're mounted up high. He must be enlisting the help of a mastiff.
Matt is making some good progress. He needs to keep it up.
Gwen is trying, but she has her occasional slip ups. She's having a hard time accepting that her son is gay, but she's getting there. Two steps forward, one step back.
Andy's visit should be interesting.
Great job tim!
Gwen certainly has her issues but like many people who just don't know any better, she means well, yet often fails miserably.
Matt is able to see he faults and accepts her the way she is. He knows she'll never be a lovey-dovey-huggy mother, and he's come to terms with it. He does what he can with the boundaries she's set.
Therapy will be good for Matt. Anyone who has gone through that type of trauma can benefit from it if they have the right connection with their therapist. Hopefully Matt will have that with his.
This one was a good read. It was fun to see the dynamics between the two couples.
Having an open relationship takes a lot of communication whether one is into the BDSM lifestyle or not. Keller and Jason have to find the balance that is crucial to make their relationship work. It seems they're now on the right path.
Roger and Devon have finally figured out the depth of their feelings for each other. I think they'll be ok.
Thanks Secret Author!
I had to think about this one for a little bit.
The story itself was poignant and touching.
I have a lifelong friend who I grew up with. She's my sister in every way but blood. These friendships aren't common and should be treasured. The thought of losing her breaks my heart.
Thanks SA.
Well, it's a dark, dreary, rainy, windy-ish Sunday. So far we've had 2.5-3 inches of rain. They're forecasting up to 8. The storm is well offshore but hasn't passed us yet.
I'm lucky we had a dry spell this morning and I got both dogs out. The big dumb one is permanent ensconsced in the closet for the duration. How is it he can hold it for 12 hours during a storm but wakes me up at 130am and again at 7 to go out. Sigh.
Have a good day and stay cool and dry!
I guess this is why my parents never took all 6 of us kids on a family vacation. Someone always gets abducted. Lol
Another sci-fi adventure, but this one I could easily follow. Thanks secret author
Mother-son relationships can be so complicated. I can relate to some of Matt's moms feelings, but it's still disconcerting when the bond between parent and child is thrown off for whatever reason.
Andy is still invested in Matt's well-being. But will Matt ever return the interest?
Nice chapter tim!
What the...??
Ok. This one lived up to its title. I'll admit I'm rather confused and wish the story had a more conclusive ending.
Historical sci-fi isn't my normal genre but thanks SA for letting me see something different.
Not my usual genre but the SA did a fine job with their story. I tend to get a little lost and glassy-eyed with a lot of technical information so the battery stuff went in my brain, and in turn my noggin noped out. I did like how everything turned out well in the end.
Thanks for your story SA!
We're not that bad... yet.
We are keeping one eye on the tropical depression thingy that's moving through the Caribbean. Hopefully it stays off our coast and doesn't dump too much rain on us. I'm not in the mood to evacuate.
It's not quite 930 in the morning and we are already at a feels like temp of 95. Should be somewhere around 110 by this afternoon.
I just stocked up the work freezer with Popsicles and fruit juice bars as well as snacks for my staff. Five cases of water should last us a few weeks.
We're moving into the two worst months of the year. At least this year we're getting rain everyday. The cloud cover helps with the temps but increases the humidity so no real cooling effect.
Stay cool and hydrated and have a good Friday Eve!
