It only took 6 comments that really don't count before we get the first real comment on the story. It seems like the tables have turned and Miles is the one who is more clear-headed. He did the right thing by pushing Troy away. It's Troy's turn to have to figure things out.

I once had extremely difficult clients in front of me acting like the world owed them everything. They yelled at me for things I had absolutely no control over (a flight diversion due to weather), traffic at their destination, and kids running down the hallway of their hotel, and too many people at Disney (they went over Christmas break.... You can't pay me enough to venture there during that time) I listened, I commiserated, I kept my cool. They left somewhat placated. As soon as they were out the door, I calmly got up, walked to the back, made sure the door was closed and let loose a barrage of colorful insults peppered with language not safe for work. My boss happened to have seen everything and had followed me to the back, to make sure I was ok, and therefore he heard every single word of my tirade. As soon as I finished ranting and took a breath to reset myself, he looked at me (who was now calm and collected) and said.... "I've never seen anyone flip a switch so fast in my life. I'm impressed." So yeah, flipping on and off in the blink of an eye is an ingrained talent.

One paragraph at a time: Owen is definitely a rebound guy. Granted, he's one that actually stuck to the wall so to speak. There will be more info forthcoming on where they stand in regards to this. For now, what they have is real and valid. The question is whether or not he stuck to the wall with super glue or Velcro. Miles' behavior when he left warrants valid opinions of not being a fan of his. However ... (you knew there would be a 'however'), going forward, Miles behavior should be based on his current maturity, not the decisions he made as a late-teen-who-has-no-frontal-cortex-thinking-capabilities. Also, Erik told Miles that Troy was in a relationship and was moving with that person. No mention of any engagement. Miles was blindsided by that tidbit at the awards ceremony. Troy has admitted that what they felt back then was too intense. Troy’s eyes held mine. “Don’t. Don’t blame yourself and don’t feel guilty. You have a lot of valid points. I agree that we were too young to deal with such intense emotions. Miles admitted that a big part of why he stayed away was so Troy could succeed with his chosen path. Troy admitted that he would have dropped everything if Miles had returned to the ranch. Miles sacrificed any chance of getting Troy back by leaving, but he did it so Troy could be happy. It wasn't selfishness but rather selflessness. The triangle of who does what with whom is TBD as is what sort of happiness will pan out and for who. Great observations.

That looks has a name...The Mom Look. Yes. It's capitalized. It comes into existence the moment we conceive and is locked into place as soon as the first child draws air into its lungs upon arrival into this world. It is not to be messed with. IYKYK It also reminds me of Mrs. Potato Head in Toy Story when she tells Mr. Potato Head "Don't forget your aaaanngry eyes." Moms are never without their angry eyes either. That switch can be flipped in a nanosecond.

In all honesty, it is a busy time of year for Owen...but in the grand scheme of things it's only a couple of hours he'd have to sacrifice. Will he think his and Troy's relationship is worth it?

I will take this one one step at a time. A mini-Miles? Hmm... May have to give this one some thought. As @weinerdoghas pointed out. Bubba is his cellmate. Nuff said. Forgiveness of the kind that needs to be given has to come from a place of love. In doing so a multitude of sins can certainly be forgiven. We'll get to see more of Owen soon. Whether or not he is okay with things remains to be seen. Wyoming will remain a place that Miles needs to keep at bay for the time being. I don't think going back any time soon would be good for his mental health. Erik's health update is coming soon too. Miles is right to feel nervous. So shouldn't you.
