I started this story last year. I know I once knocked out 40 chapters in 4 months but there's no way I could write 27 chapters in a matter of a few weeks. I think @Wayne Gray will concur. As for the dead body....Uncle Ron had to go.

I concur wholeheartedly. This is a great sci-fi story. Its a genre I usually shy away from because so many authors use a lot of technical jargon, but this was a pleasure to read. Thanks for letting me be a part of it tim xo

This, my dear Wayne is a strategically placed chapter. Bill lifted his eyes again. “You don’t owe Yoder Ranch your life.” His voice had gone rougher now. “And you sure as hell don’t owe it your destruction.” “He already believed ownership and worth were the same thing" “You don't own the building,” Bill said quietly. “You own the pillars.” The only thing I can do for you now is to make sure he can never touch you. Bill Yoder knew exactly what he was doing. When he says that Zane will be angry, he's not kidding. I envision the man turning every shade of purple and steam shooting out his ears. I have one question though-- now that Taggert owns critical, and expensive parcels of Yoder Ranch, shouldn't he have set up his will while he was at the bank? Correct me if I'm wrong, but once ownership was transferred, doesn't that negate the Dead Man's Switch unless Taggert sets it up? If so, he's now vulnerable. Great chapter, my friend!

I'll have you know I was in Vermont today and while I did not climb any trees, I did do the "gently sloping" trail down to the river. "Gentle" my ass. My thighs and toes hate me.
