Well, he can't accuse me of keeping him up late by sending the chapter over at midnight. This time he got it before Aaron got to it. My editing team totally dropped the ball not noticing the sun was out in the middle of the night! Good thing I do a final read thru before I post!

I like to come full circle. Spoiler alert-- Reilly kicked off the series and he will end it too. My voices are quiet right now. I have two different stories started and it remains to be seen who will be the loudest. Ian's friend Jase is tapping away, but so isn't another character. Who knows?

You're welcome. It was a doozy to write and then edit. I think the rough draft was only 4100-something words. It settled just under 5200. Major revision right up until I posted. I caught a huge continuity issue in the final read-through.

I've been saying all along that Huntington wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I had no clue who would be the one to kill Huntington. I was leaning toward Sebastian or Elijah, but it didn't feel right. I thought about Cassiel but wasn't sure I could make it work with the whole "can't interfere" thing. I stumbled on Morrigan and instantly knew what to do and it felt right.

A hush blanketed the forest surrounding them. The woodland creatures were quiet, watching and waiting from a distance. Not a single note from a songbird could be heard.
