Running from his abusive Dad, seventeen-year-old Kyle skips out on his old life and searches for a new one far from his old home. Spanning halfway across the country, Kyle ends up in St. Clement, where he meets a boy who likes him. Getting involved in the gritty underworld of St. Clement; the romance is cut short, and the adventure is turned to terror as both boys are forced to go on the run to stay alive.

I get into the stats of their marriage in the epilogue, the next chapter. Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. We just have to wait to see how it all goes :)And Amy and his mother being friends sounds like a great idea. I hope you enjoy the epilogue.

I believe she wants to be the mother Kyle deserves. I'd like to think that if Kyle had the courage to run away, then his mom had the courage to do what her son did. Kyle does get punished, but not as severe as Matias. I guess we'll have to wait until the final chapter to see if the boys are later reunited. Day 71 (71 now) Mom’s gone to find a wheelchair for me. While I have a moment to think about what has happened over the past week, I thought I’d write in here to get it out of my head. Mom has been here a few days, and she's been mostly kind, but yesterday she broke down, crying in front of me. It was the first time I saw her so emotional. Since her arrival, she has kept hugging me, keeps waiting on me hand and foot. Every whim, beckon and call, she is there to do it for me. And I so

Matias is 17, so he'd be in a correctional facility for about a year. Kyle acted in self defence, but so did Matias. Matias took the blame, but he still went down for the vandalism, extortion, drug running, and possibly assault. In the later chapters, Kyle nonchalantly references having PTSD, but I won't let any more details slip. I guess we'll just have to wait see how things turn out. Thanks for reading.

I'm quite evil, I know. I didn't see Matias having a future by the end of the story, and that he'd end up in Juvie regardless of what happened when Salvatore caught up with them. Kyle will have to answer for some of his actions too, but I like to think I ended the story with a hopeful dream for the future. Matias took the fall for Kyle, figuring it was his fault that Kyle ended up bringing Kyle into this crime world. Thanks for reading I hope the ending satisfying for you.

Day 59 I don't know what was up with me today; I just woke up agitated and irritated. Surely it had to be from the operation I got, where the doctors dug around in my guts for the bullets. The nightmare came on last night; I was standing, no, I was laying on that operating table, the operating team hard at work, and I was awake. It was like they didn't know I was conscious, and I was screaming, flailing, and panicking. My bloody hands reached up for the doctor, telling him it hurt. Y

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad that it met expectations. I cut a lot of ideas from the original, and I'm delighted the condensed version still made it interesting. Come to think of it, this is the first intimate moment I've written in a story in some time. Day 58 Detective Wheeler told me it would be good to write down my thoughts after the forensic investigators found my journal on the train. Personally, he has broken the law, given me my journal, a piece of evidence. Wheeler wanted to know what actually happened on the night. So, I'm going to try to recount it all. My mind has been a bit hazy, so this will be more difficult than I first realized. Looking back, it says Matias was acting funny, and now that I think of it, he was giving

I just had to have the chefs flaming pan flying through the air. I've seen it in too many movies, and nobody has ever utilised it. I had originally plotted an entire scene that went with the boys stealing the car, and Kyle trying to drive it, using his knowledge of the arcade game he played. However, I decided to pull quite a bit of content so I could get to closing up the story. I probably could have added another 20,000 words to it all said with the scenes I decided to cut. However, I found that I didn't want it to drag out further, so the train station escape seemed more sitting. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Salvatore might catch up, maybe the boys will be able to start a new life with the confrontation. Its all a matter of time Thanks for reading.

According to my writer notes, their luck doesn't last much longer. But, yeah Kyle is starting to view Matias as more than a friend, even though most people would be inclined to run and keep going.

I think Kyle is realising that he needs to start making his own decisions too. It can be hard breaking away from standing away in the background.
