Laneer Yinx does not turn towards the many buildings behind us. Instead, he starts walking up the stairs that lead straight to the palace. Do we need to visit the palace before we go find Yinx’s home? That seems a bit weird. Maybe things here are a lot more strict than back in Avelin. The pillars hold colorful pictures that tell countless stories. Most seem to be about the gods. Specifically, Morgoren. I do notice that quite a few show demons as well. That just makes me nervous.

Laneer Yinx and I are waiting for the rest of the group to meet up at the point on the map. From what it shows, we should reach the desert in about an hour. This will be interesting! As soon as we had left the outer ring of white trees, Yinx’s eyes slowly dulled down to the pale versions of before. I am not sure if it is because I am stupid, but I had already gotten used to the green eyes. Well, not used to them, but close enough to feel like they were normal. Yinx’s mood ha

Laneer The leaves change color when it is nighttime. They turn into a dark purple. They still glow, but it a darker version of itself that is both peaceful and beautiful. The only sources of light are the flowering vines emitting a soft yellow light and the glowing orange mushrooms. Luckily, there are a ton of both. They light up the forest well enough to see where we are going. Yinx leads me again through the lively forest. Every now and then, he’d look back at me and smile. And

Laneer I can see the scary trees in the distance. Dead trees. They are white and do not have any leaves to cover themselves. They remind me of bones honestly. It creeps me out. You would think that you would be able to see through them easily, but there are just so many branches intertwining together that I am afraid that we will get lost. “May I ask why we are going through there?” Nalgon asks. Yinx just waits for us to catch up with him. We had all stopped to stare at the m

Laneer I didn't mean to, but I fell asleep. Honestly, I thought that maybe Yinx would not wake up. Maybe he would just sleep throughout the rest of the night. So, I did what I am guessing any reasonable person would do, and got in the bed with Yinx. It is cold and the chair was very uncomfortable. Yinx seemed dead asleep, so I just assumed it would be alright. I was wrong. Yinx must have been having some rather unpleasant dreams because he was tossing and turning. He

Natzalia Dunbrali “He looks angry to see them.” I say. “As he should be.” Jeriko says across from me. I glare at him, but then look back down into the ball of sapphire. It allows us to look through the eyes of the Ancient Ones. Unfortunately, I cannot control what they say. Why did they have to tell Yinx that I sent them? He even assumed that I had ordered them to kill him. I...maybe I would have, long ago. Still, they should not have mentioned me. Yinx has grown into quite t

Laneer I hear talking outside of my tent. I guess everyone is starting to wake up. I should too. I open my eyes and see that I thankfully have not somehow held onto Yinx. He is still sleeping with his back to me. He is under his sleeping bag finally. He even has his old cloak laying on top of it. He must have gotten too cold. Quietly, I try to sneak out of the tent. I think I smell food being made. Beatrix and Nelga are talking next to the fire. They have two giant fish o

The Ancient Ones The little one has heard our call again. It has been quite some time since we last saw from him. Will he allow us to serve once again? Yinx leaves his companions and walks through the forest. He follows our call. We made sure that no one could bother us. Hopefully he will not be cross with our decision? No of course not. He has never been cross with us. He said that he considered us his friends. Yinx said to never think he is angry with us. Does he lie? H

Laneer Well, if we are going to be traveling this long, Yinx should get some better clothes. The outfit he has on now does not cover enough skin. His arms are completely bare and you can see his hip bones easily. Obviously that is not at all good enough here. It is snowing here. Yinx argued that we’d only be using the winter clothing for about three days at the most. I guess I can’t really argue with that.I managed to convince him to get a fur-lined parka and some nice gloves. He

~2 Days Later~ Morgoren, The Moon God I see that my little champion has gone up in the world. He lives in a proper house now and is no longer in that ugly shack in the woods. Right now I would like to speak with him. I have a plan that surely be able to convince him to join me. Obviously this will not count as my one chance to truly convince him. This is just a small nudge into doing a small request for me. We never said anything about that. I am going to test him, well,

Laneer The marketplace seems rather empty today. I guess everyone has run home for lunch. Maybe I should eat at the Unicorn’s Blood with Yinx! That could be a perfect time for Beatrix and him to get to know each other. I am pretty sure they would get along. Yinx is nice and Beatrix is...can be nice. If Yinx can handle seeing a werewolf creeping at his window, then I am positive that he can handle Beatrix. A bunch of sellers at their stalls stare off with bored expressions. A

Laneer After what feels like the longest walk in the cold, we managed to retrieve my clothes. I hid them inside an old broken tree. It is my own little marker for where it is safe to transform. Since the hunters had come all the way out here, I may have to find a place further into the woods. I wonder if Yinx’s place would be fine. No, I shouldn't do that. If I were to get caught, it would only bring troubles to Yinx and that is the last thing I want. I do not want to bring a

Laneer The sound of music wakes me from my sleep. Followed by the smell of food being made. I really don’t want to get up but the sun is shining down on me and it just makes it harder to go back to sleep. The soft music from a lyre makes it harder to wake up as well. I glance towards the bed and see that it has been made and Lleros’ clothes are no longer on the floor. It would probably be best if I were to get up right now. I wouldn’t want to seem rude. I really need to g

Laneer Wait a minute. The fuck did I just do? My eyes widen at my own actions. I have been scared to speak with this person for about two weeks. All of a sudden I kiss his hand? Where did that even come from? I mean...I would like to think I did that on my own, but I just know I didn’t. Pulling the blanket around me again, I stand and follow Lleros inside. I would very much like to apologize. I should not have done that. Lleros is placing blankets on the floor. He has

Laneer Do I...follow? I kind of want to, but I feel like I really shouldn’t. This was all just beyond strange. I smack on my face, trying to wake myself. I would really like to wake up from this weird dream. Nope, not dreaming. Great. I should probably find Beatrix. Maybe she will know what to do? I mean, obviously she has never gone through something like this, but her thoughts would be very much appreciated. I do not even take a step before my stomach growls and the wol

Helgrof Dunbrali- Older Brother of Yinx I am woken up from a voice singing and a soft chill kissing at my cheek. I rub my eyes from deep sleep and look around my room. The curtains by my window dance around as the wind pushes them around. I frown. It seems a bit brighter than normal. A strange white glow radiates outside. I toss my sheets off of me and poke my feet around for my slippers. The stone floor is much too cold. I brush my dark hair from my face and quickly hurry to my

~14 Years Later~ Laneer Bancroft “Well done, Gentlemen!” Captain Yeorly smiles. Beatrix clears her throat loudly. “A-and to you as well, Madame.” The Captain quicky gets out. Beatrix just gives a smirk and winks at me. I just shake my head with a smile and hold my hand out. Captain Yeorly quickly drops a rather heavy bag full of gold coin, into my hand. “If you get another Bandit problem,” I say before turning to leave, “you know who to call.” “Ah yes! I w

A story of how the gods had gone too far. This story follows the life of a young man named Yinx.

Luno I close my eyes and rest my head against Enfi’s wing. She is in her giant form right now so thankfully it will not bother her. We have been traveling for quite awhile now and I just brought back another town of humans. It was only about a four hour walk but gods my feet are killing me! Reviving the humans leaves me a little bit tired honestly. I would like it if we could just take a small break and stop somewhere to sleep. Tobias thinks it would be best if we were to

Luno I can only manage a small squeak before Tobias kisses me. Kisses me! I haven’t been kissed in so long. Not since Viktor. Maybe it is because it has been so long or maybe it is because I am just desperate for affection, but I can't help but want to kiss back. I just can’t do it. I am in shock. Why would Tobias want to kiss me? He constantly calls me names and had tried to bring me down a few times. So obviously we are not considered friends right? We have literally

Luno I quietly walk to my side of the bed. Tobias is already under the covers. He is reading a book. Kulu is wrapped around his neck. I smile at that. “You don’t look as scary with him sleeping on you!” I laugh. Tobias lazily rolls his eyes, “I am a bit worried honestly. What if he just decides to choke me to death?” He pokes at Kulu’s little head and the little serpent's tongue ends up falling out of his mouth. I lean over to quickly push it back in and then pat Kulu

Tobias The demon, Yezmo, must have remembered he was supposed to take us to our room first, because he came running down the stairs two at a time and waved for us to follow. Clearly he wanted to get in bed with Raiyo as soon as possible. Luno stands at the same time that I do and then we follow him. Yezmo would make loud grunts and sighs, wanting to yell at us to hurry up so he can get to his booty call. I saw the look on Raiyo’s face before he went up the stairs. Yezmo i

Tobias The Spirit Sailor has stopped rowing the boat and is now letting us slowly drift in the open water. I believe it is almost time to teleport. “Why are we slowing down?” Luno says next to me. He lifts his head from my shoulder and glances up at me before turning to let his hand trail in the water. He hasn’t said much for awhile. I guess he's thinking about all that we talked about. He seemed really confused. A bit strange that the Gatekeeper of the Heavens would keep

Luno It was a long time ago Mother had said. It was not your fault She said. I find that pretty hard to believe in all honesty. When I woke up this morning, I found Tobias staring at me with a strange expression on his face. I had asked what it was, I even washed my face just in case Avric accidentally slobbered all over me. He’s done that plenty of times before. Tobias would just shake his head and say it was nothing. He hasn’t really made a move to leave. I am n
