Wow, though in hindsight knowing his parents as well as he does I wonder if that accusation didn’t have some evidence behind it beyond what we can infer as readers. I mean we know his mom called the therapist on Sunday and she replied back he was always available for her when he was surprised she talked to a therapist on a Sunday, which looking back knowing what we know at the end of the chapter could have hinted at this revelation as obviously his personal number would definitely be available to her. Then he knows she started seeing the therapist while considering divorcing her husband so that’s a natural time she may have cheated, she doesn’t seem to truly love her husband rather she married him for money, and the therapist seemed to be trying to push her desires for reconciliation onto her son rather than actually help him. It’s kinda funny that the therapist was so shocked and guilty that he couldn’t even voice any denial. I wonder if he’ll go home throwing what he learned in his mother’s face but I doubt it’d do any good as she won’t feel any guilt plus her husband isn’t likely ignorant to this.

Hmmm a guy born the same year as me and from my state...which is not going to be a positive thing for his character I’m sure. Alabama is a great place for the average joe but overall it isn’t that forward thinking in terms of the LGBTQ+ community, though things improve everyday. Of course I don’t know any Alabamian snobs but I have a feeling that will result in his parents being even more ignorant as thankfully the people I know don’t hate those damn yankees because we know the civil war is over. 😂

In Chapter 15 I kinda wanted to hear him tell his father off which we got in the alternate ending yet we also got such a sad ending. This ending seems to show even more that his father didn’t truly care for him if he didn’t attend his own son’s funeral. I find this ending relaistic in a sense because on one hand Charlie seems like the type to go through with the community service as he did in the original ending but his life is so terrible at the moment the suicide seems plausible as well. I know he has Derek to love him yet losing his mother and then having his father come back into his life only to show he doesn’t love him has got to tear him up inside not to mention losing his house in this alternate ending. I’m assuming his mom sold the house without his knowledge to either pay for hospital bills or Charlie’s college yet the shock of losing his home period let alone the home he shared with his mom shortly after her death would be an emotional moment.

I wish I could say I was surprise at Charlie’s dad yet I’m not. The guy made it clear life centered around him and he won’t pay a simple fine his son owes because he broke a law he didn’t know about when in reality he just doesn’t care rather than his claims of Charlie needing to learn a lesson. Charlie would have went to jail from an unknown amount of time if he wasn’t offered community service though I still think these officers are somewhat jerks themselves considering the circumstances.

Were there signs posted? You can’t expect people to know about a law for a specific area if they aren’t from there and there are no visible signs indicating that jet-skis are forbidden. People aren’t psychic and he seemed to get enjoyment out of fining & arresting them. Sadly some members of law enforcement do get off on such things.

...ok I like Julie a lot but she has a big mouth. First at the park forcing him to come out, blurting stuff out at the party where anyone could hear, and now she brings a guy they don’t know over revealing his orientation to him. I mean I know she means well but we all have a right to come out when we are comfortable and to people we trust. Not everyone is accepting and spilling a friend’s secrets no matter what the secret is isn’t that good of a trait for a friend to have. I know she didn’t mean anything malicious by it but she needs to think before she speaks.

I agree that it was inevitable and that it wasn’t malicious just that it was the result of friend’s loose lips just seems I dunno sad. I mean either way he would have found out eventually and while it wasn’t done on purpose if just seems like the worst case scenario for her to be the cause of their relationship being outed. Life is full of unexpected and unpleasant surprises we have to deal with though so they’ll have to make the best out of a bad situation.

Lol I enjoy longer stories and stories written by skilled authors so I had to look at your other works after reading one of them as I tend to finish a story quickly. It’s an interesting story with a lot of unexpected twists so while it may not be the most polished work on this site it’s still a good read so of course people would enjoy it. You’re a little too hard on yourself but people often are more critical of their own work as we can all be perfectionists. Interesting tidbit about the use of sleeping medication as that sounds plausible given his stressful life & neglectful parents.

This was all a little overly dramatic. The specific words used in the conversation that led to Derek leaving was that Charlie didn’t love him not that he didn’t like him. Derek gave him an unexpected blowjob and Charlie said in the past he didn’t think he could ever have sex with someone he didn’t love. Maybe Derek fell in love with him at first sight but even if it was mutual people don’t typically confess their love after less than a week so I didn’t think that was a shocking moment for Charlie to say he didn’t love him. Obviously he liked him but liking is not the same thing as being in love with someone. Now in this chapter Charlie admits he likes him and they move back in together but the keyword is like as he said he realized he liked him rather than any mention of loving him. I’m sure love could develop over time and some love likely already exists yet jumping straight to love in a few short days was an unrealistic expectation for Derek to have.

I’m a little confused at the ending. I’m assuming the alcohol was laced with something as Andy seems to wake up in the hospital after drinking that vodka & lime drink but Chandler is the one who was in a car accident so it seems kinda confusing as to what exactly happened to land Andy in the hospital. Plus the line about his life with Chandler being over is also confusing as it already was just not in such a permanent way. Like your other story “Are You Christian” this one seems to just randomly end despite being marked completed which is sadly annoying to be honest because it’s good. If it were bad then ok, but it feels very incomplete which leaves us all wanting more.

Chandler dumped him because he got tired of waiting for him to be normal? He essentially rapes him and when called out on how he acted decides Andy is the one who isn’t normal? When is Chandler going to own up to the fact everyone is right about him and that he’s just not ready for a real relationship? He was doing so well there for a moment that I thought they had a chance but now I’m hoping Andy doesn’t forgive him yet again only to eventually get hurt again.

Sounds like Chandler forgot he was supposed to be patient and just used Andy for sex without thinking about he needs. There’s no description to indicate Andy received any pleasure and in a sense he was a tiny bit raped as Chandler was oblivious to his request to slow down though he wasn’t very insistent about it I suppose. I really think Jase is better for him but he’s hooked on Chandler plus lately I’ve begun to rethink my opinion as Chandler was being sweet. Now Jase will end up with Marcus possibly leaving Andy feeling regretful over what he missed out on.

So Marcus & Jase might hookup which wouldn’t be a horrible pairing.

I am glad Chandler got there in time to stop that creep.

I knew Marcus’ true goal was sex with Andy but I didn’t expect him to just leave him stranded when he said he wasn’t interested. Then this jerk jumps him and I hope he gets away from him. If Marcus has any feelings at all I hope he hears about this and feels guilty as hell for the rest of his life.

Ok, Andy saying “He doesn’t want in my pants he just wants show me a good find.” is a bit funny as um those aren’t mutually exclusive plus as readers we are privy to the conversation between Chandler & Marcus that indicated Marcus would like to get in his pants. Your sister is correct and you’re going to probably land yourself in some drama if you’re not careful.

You know based on how Tim acted at the bowling alley I’m not surprised by his actions but I was hoping Evan would stick by Andy. Then you’ve got them even warning Jase who is gay himself to not get close to Andy because people will label him gay. If they change their attitudes because their girlfriends threatened to break up wirh them that won’t make Andy any happier because he’ll know that’s why they still hangout with him. Andy is really hardheaded about Chandler as Chandler just isn’t the boyfriend type as his own friends tell him as there’s a good chance he’ll cheat again. Plus you got him doing multiple things that out Andy ranging from Tim to that gay party as he knew Andy wasn’t ready to be outed. His friends call Andy a child for freaking out over not wanting to be outed but Chandler isn’t completely out either as the school at large supposedly doesn’t know. Kinda hypocritical to judge Andy for feeling the same way Chandler does as the major difference between them is Andy isn’t screwing every guy he can.

....Andy is an idiot. He tells his sister he believes her when she says Chandler is bad guy who he shouldn’t have anything to do with and turns around a second later to accept his party invite. Then he goes to a party that’s gay speciic where Marcus who unbeknownst to him wants to have sex with him is not to mention Chandler has already admitted he’s not really ready for a relationship so I don’t see why he’s intersted in fixing things between. I definitely don’t get it when in the beginning he liked Jase, he still seems to like Jase, and given the fact Jase likes him I’d be trying to get over Chandler while moving onto greener pastures.

Tim confuses be because he goes from acting like a homophobic prick and saying Andy shouldn’t hangout with Chandler because he’s gay despite his belief Andy is gay only to show remorse & guilt for ruining the relationship between the two of them.

Wow, ok Tim has been suspicious for a while and Andy is correct when he said Chandler outed him to as there’s no way Tim will buy the idea Andy is straight with the way he’s been acting lately. Chandler also said he wasn’t going to come out to the school yet he brazenly told Tim he was gay saying he did so because he’s comfortable with himself which doesn’t mesh with his worries about being outed to everyone since he doesn’t know Tim well enough to know if he’d tell anyone. I’m also curious if Chandler wanted to talk to him before Tim did because he hoped Andy wouldn’t be as angry that way or if he’s not being 100% truthful so he wanted Andy to hear his version first. I just don’t trust Chandler completely yet and Laura said Chandler tried to rape her while Chandler gave a lighter version of the strory where he said he tried to get her to have sex with him so I’m wondering what his attempt at rape consisted of because she’s still upset by it years later. He also comes off as clinging and controlling so yeah I don’t see their relationship as a good one.

I know Chandler was his first kiss and is apparently attractive yet I’m not buying his story of why Laura doesn’t like Chandler so I’m wary of him. It’s kinda sad that only 24hrs ago Andy would have jumped for joy at Jase being interested in him but now he’s moved on. I don’t see this thing with Chandler lasting whatever it is.

Man Lucas is a major jerk. If he wasn’t ok with it fine everyone has their own opinions yet to imply you’re perfectly fine with someone you claim to be a friend to being gay only to spread rumors outing them along with lies about them coming onto you is just downright sadistic. Hmmm is the night Laura is supposed to bring him over the night Andy is going to that party she knows nothing about? Bad timing if it is.

Chandler’s interest in Andy is kinda odd and possibly creepy considering it’s out of the blue. If we knew more about why his sister doesn’t like him then we’d have a better picture of what might be going on as it could be linked to her in some way. I’m wondering if he’s gay and that’s why he’s interested in Andy though I wish Andy would be bit more cautious as the fact his sister thinks he’s a bad person is a warning sign to watch out for danger. I’m assuming Jase will get over his anger but apparently a good bit of time has passed and he doesn’t seem any less hostile towards Andy which is sad because I’m fairly certain there was mutual attraction which may amplify Jase’s feeling of betrayal.

I was worried when Jase left on his own as it sounds weird for him to have a bodyguard going to the bathroom but considering those two seniors who were ganging up on him at school could have been at the party I was worried something would happen. I wonder if that was just some pissed off drunken idiot or if it was leading up to an attempt at rape considering Jase was being beaten in a bedroom. I understand him being upset and while I know Andy promised he’d protect him now I feel equally worried for both as Andy will blame himself for what happened. I hope Jase starts talking to him again soon.

Forgiving Lacey is nice and all though I don’t buy her story completely as to how she accidentally told her mom. Her mother may be the town gossip but she must have said something besides just being upset for her to figure out Christian was gay and in a relationship with Jonathan as she’s not psychic. Christian forgives her way to easily when she clearly knows her mother is a gossip making her the worst person to tell a secret to and Jonathon reassured Christian that she would keep it a secret in the previous chapter though he was sadly wrong. I would have forgiven her given time but she would have to earn back my trust if I were them considering her loose lips ruined their lives. If Jonathan ends up going back to that facility as bad as it would be if I were Christian I’d have to willingly go in myself an attempt to protect him as much as I could.
