So much death, destruction, and chaos in these last two chapters. Some of them had a small chance of survival with a crash landing but now they have missiles headed their way because of the wrong transponder code. Then poor Günter is dead which is a fact they currently know nothing about not to mention the death in Australia. I was hoping the bombs would be discovered before they went off but now so many people are in danger.

So it’s clear based on the method of murder that Jerry/Scar likely killed his own wife and made it look like the neighbor did it while likely killing him too so it looked like he ran from the police. So “Lump” is homophobic all because he thinks a gay man killed his mother which is likely not the case. Jerry/Scar is one twisted individual and I kinda feel sorry for both Brandon & Chase in this chapter. Both have to pretend to be straight and hide their relationship for fear of hurting their careers plus Chase is pretending to be in a relationship with a woman who’s already in a relationship so if people figure that out it’ll make him look bad in my opinion not that many of his fans would care. Of course Barbara is also in a relationship but hers is also hidden while Linda’s isn’t so Brandon won’t look like a womanizer unless people find out about Barbara being in a relationship...which considering she’s a lesbian would be another situation entirely when it comes to the tabloid stories they’d write. 😂

Yep Eric is an addict who loses all common sense when Tequila is in front of him. That was very stupid but totally expected. When Jerry/Scar mentioned alcohol I knew what he was buying and I knew Eric would fall for it. His radar or instincts aren’t good enough to alert him to the true threat “Jerry” is.

Eric as stated above is an idiot who will get them killed if not for dumb luck. He’s reading “Jerry” as being up to something but thinks it is something minor so he sees no danger in spying on him nor going off to the middle of nowhere to find out what he’s up to. Now Dimitri has seen the suspicious photos of them sneaking around and will tell Jerry/Scar who will likely agree that it’s time to kill them as he will think they know more than they do. They’re lucky they didn’t get killed that night or framed for murder. Although I find Brandon kind of a wuss when he’s saying that it was bad enough they snuck around the stadium and their own gear because I mean they had every legal right to be there. His worries about breaking the law by following the GPS coordinates is common sense as it would be illegal to be on private property not to mention they have no idea what’s out there but his atttiude about the stadium is ridiculous. In the end I think his main thing is he’s making excuses because he doesn’t believe in Eric’s intuition as much as the others do and he doesn’t believe “Jerry” is up to anything illegal or wrong so he finds it pointless. To be fair from Brandon’s point of view there is very little evidence supporting any suspicions Eric has about “Jerry” and Eric is often a self centered, arrogant guy so Brandon has no reason to trust him blindly as just because he says he’s certain of something doesn’t make it true. Things are going to get more dicey.

The last paragraph implies someone likely saw the interaction between Brandon & Chase which will result in unneeded drama on top of the drama they don’t know about which involves their planned murders. These kids have it rough.

Well Eric apparently isn’t as great at reading people as they all think or maybe it’s just a lack of plain common sense that he didn’t read the situation well enough to realize that “Jerry” offering him Tequila was not only suspicious but a bad idea to follow along with. He could have told the guy anything under the influence of Tequila as he knows it makes him act wildly irrational not that he often acts rational sober. Honestly for Eric Tequila is an addiction that he needs to be cured of as much as you can cure an addiction anyway. Jon’s comment about how “Jerry” couldn’t do much if he found the GPS is ominous as we know he can do something pretty bad if he finds it though at the moment their suspicions don’t include any worries that “Jerry” is dangerous.

I didn’t think about the screws possibly being stripped and now Jerry/Scar might move up his timetable to have everyone killed out of panick that they know too much having opened up the scooter.

I wonder if Jerry/Scar has any motives beyond what happened with “Lump” as to why he wants the boys dead. Obviously his whole story about being estranged from his son due to being gay himself is likely a fabrication but most fathers wouldn’t plan to have someone killed over the fact they fired/replaced their son. Despite his acting skills maybe he’s a homophobic prick like his son so that combined with his anger over what happened with “Lump” being fired is enough of a reason to kill them considering he’s obviously deranged. I wish Brandon had realized something was up with the scooter though it’s not like he’s an expert on technology and while Jerry/Scar was unarmed he still is a dangerous man with dangerous friends so it might have ended badly if they did get suspicious.

Ok, if Jerry is Scar or someone who wants to hurt the boys as some suspect I’m now suspicious of that scooter. I mean how hard would it be to attach an explosive to such a device/mode of transport? I don’t really understand his motives though if that’s the case because if he was remotely telling the truth about his own sexual orientation I can’t see this as a complex revenge plot for what happened with his son. I can uderstand him loving his son regardless but I can’t comprehend any point to him causing harm to the boys. We’ll have to see if the theories are correct.

Fake news strikes again and had us all worried someone had died for naught. Glad to see everyone is ok for the most part and while Wilde was easy to guess at one point the theory about Steve being jealous is a nice concept which fits well into how he was acting.

Steve set up Chase’s gear like he planned huh yeah that doesn’t sound ominous. I knew this whole rock climbing thing was a bad idea with Steve being paranoid over some secret likely to do with the sexual orientation of one or more of his band members being potentially revealed no to mention that he initially came off as homophobic. I wouldn’t have trusted him as a rock climbing partner nor someone to handle my harnes despite how paranoid that sounds. Unless we get a twist where it’s maybe him or Wilde who died after getting into a fight with Eric it sounds like the likely victim is sadly Chase though it could be Eric considering he seemed to be onto their secret. It sounds like Barbara definitely knew who the victim was and that it was one of the brothers not somehow Brandon so based on Barbara thinking it was Helen’s favorite I’m going to assume it’s Chase while probably being wrong. Despite all the trouble she lets him get away with I can’t see Eric being her favorite of the three brothers if she has a favorite but you never know so it likely could be Eric as I can’t see Chase being killed off so soon despite the evidence supporting that conclusion.

Zeke seemed to freak out after saying Wilde gets along with everybody which is a totally normal sentence and not one to seemingly be upset over as if you let out some secret so I’m guessing Wilde is bisexual. Well all new Eric would go crazy over the Tequila and that’s why he hid it from everyone in the band. I thought Jon knew but I’m thinking even he didn’t know about it. Eric is getting sneaky and acts kinda like an addict by purposely hiding the Tequila from everyone who knows it makes him act crazy. He’s also foolish for drinking it when knowing how it affects him especially considering they were at a hotel pool. He should know better and the line about how they use this shit to relax because life is so stressful is not holding water with the tequila, public intoxication, and Eric almost killing himself. These guys have stressful lives sure but I’m truly starting to believe they have issues that run deeper than stress.

Does Eric never learn? He’s in a public place where papparazi could snap photos and he’s drinking tequila again. Plus that idiot especially when drunk on Tequila will likely agree to this crazy climbing idea and who knows what might happen if this guy who’s clearly hiding some homophobic tendencies gets Brandon and/or Chase on some cliff type situation where they could get hurt while sober let alone drunk like we know everyone except those two will be if they manage not to get drunk themselves. Eric makes poor decisions sober and tequila is something he should stay far away from. He and likely Jon are going to cause drama again as well as possibly be the cause of more problems for Brandon & Chase at this rate.

I’m glad Brandon didn’t give into peer pressure and I just love Helen. She was a genius in this chapter. You know I want to forgive those idiots but them balking over the money donation again when they made asses out of themselves just grates on my nerves. I don’t believe in the saying there’s no such thing as bad publicity and their actions had to be metigated in some way so considering they aren’t exactly poor at the moment Helen’s idea to use a donation to the charity as positive publicity to offset the negative publicity they drummed up isn’t something they should whine about. They both act so immature and so...ugh there aren’t appropriate words. I mean I love people who don’t take themselves too seriously but their attitudes are ridiculous. Then you’ve got them saying to Brandon that they think they get it after apparently having to stay up all night long talking just to remotely understand what they’d did wrong as far as Brandon & Chase are concerned which along with the money thing just makes them seem majorly self-centered. One issue is the drinking and the other is I think they didn’t see anything wrong with Brandon using sex as a solution to the blackmail because despite thinking someone promiscious wasn’t good for their brother they would have no issue using sex as a tool nor have any desire for an actual relationship so to them the option given seemed somewhat reasonable compared to the possible alternatives. I kinda wish their scheme was fully explained as I want to know what bullshit they had planned to get rid of Chase or distract him so Brandon could have sex with that....witch.

First Eric & Jon seem more worried about themselves than having hurt their brother as well as Brandon by having outed them and now they want to give into blackmail lacking any evidence yet they don’t really lose anything if they do give into it as it won’t affect Themis Brandon does have sex with her. They’re probably thinking gays are promiscious anyway and Chase can’t find out nor get hurt by what we did so we should just guilt Brandon into cheating on him. They should go to Helen as she might be able to diffuse the situation or just let this girl gossip about it as Helen said just recently to Brandon that without proof someone from his past revealing he’s gay would just be a proof-less rumor that they could handle. Yes this would have more traction considering the girl was intimate with those idiots but it’s still just her word. I have no doubt that due to worry about Chase being outed that Brandon will cave and agree to have sex with her. I also expect they might not tell Chase who will eventually find out and be hurt by what he will see as Brandon cheating on him. Even if he is told ahead of time he won’t be able to help feeling upset over the idea of Brandon having sex with someone else even though it’s just to protect him as well as the band’s image though hopefully if he finds out he will stop it from happening in the first place. These two self centered, drunken idiots are far from the best brothers in the world. I hope karma comes back to bite them but sadly if it does it’ll hit the entire group not just them.

Jon is definitely a hypocrite considering he and Eric are both manwhores who only care about one night stands yet are calling gays promiscious as a group. Yes, there are gay guys like that but obviously with these two as prime examples there are plenty of straight guys who are promiscuous as well. He also seems to forget his brother is one of those gays so generalizing/stereotyping all gay people as promiscious is ridiculous. Then on top of that both he and Eric out there brother & Brandon yet seconds later they’re on the topic of Brandon possibly hurting Chase...Who’s the one hurting Chase? I know they were drunk but they aren’t the type that should get drunk plus it doesn’t excuse what they did. I honestly thought their urge to get laid again would have them barge in and give the girls a nice view of Chase & Brandon cuddled up...though I suppose if the door hadn’t been locked they would have. I know the band life can be stressful but they didn’t seem that stressed at the time so I can’t rationalize them getting drunk under the guise of relieving stress, both seemed to make it their mission to get drunk at a charity event while having the bonus of being underage so a nice scandal if it ends up in the papers, they yelled out of the limo moonroof and made a scene in front of the hotel which as celebrities would likely draw unwanted attention, they trashed the hotel room(s), etc... They seem like hypocrites because ok Lump was way worse but they don’t seem to be able to handle their liquor very well either plus with Chase calling their actions common I think they could be on the road to having an alcohol problem if something isn’t done. To summarize it’s great Brandon & Chase are officially together, Brandon & Chase are going to be upset when they inevitably find out Jon & Eric outed them while drunk, both Jon & Eric are idiots as well as jerks in their own ways, and I assume Helen is angry over Jon & Eric making themselves as well as the band look bad over their actions during as well as possibly following the charity event. It could be the news that Brandon & Chase are gay has already hit the papers but the timing makes me think it’s the drunk actions of the straight (as far as we know 🤣) band members that has her upset. Honestly I’m from the south so people drink and as a whole I have no issue with it yet when you act like fools at a charity event and albeit unintentionally do something to hurt your own brother along with a friend then you should hold off on the alcohol. Admittedly I’m disappointed in Chase and slightly disappointed in Brandon because while Chase didn’t do much to stop the drinking except wanting the tequila stopped Brandon initially seemed to be planning to keep them from getting drunk after Helen warned him about how all three could get when drunk. Chase knew how things would end if they got drunk as far as the charity event went yet didn’t really try to stop them and poor Brandon got distracted as well as just gave up likely expecting Chase as the experienced one would know how to keep it from getting out of hand as it’s not like he has experience in this area. In the end a lot of drama would have been avoided if they just waited to get drunk at the hotel rather than making a scene at an event like that not to mention being so out of it they had a discussion about Brandon & Chase being gay in front of three girls they likely didn’t even know the names of with the only solution to outing them being using a lie to get them to leave as if they’d magically forget what they heard.

Will saw right through Liam’s obvious lie about being ok with not being able to play baseball a while back as did we as readers so I wasn’t expecting that to be what was upsetting Liam. I mean as I said we all knew he was upset about it and while I didn’t expect him to get over it quickly nor even be over it yet it was not something I thought would come up as why he was upset. I’m kinda glad it was this issue as while it’s sad and I feel for him at least it wasn’t new...drama. Liam sadly had the mistaken impression Will was disappointed in him so I’m glad they got the truth out about how both of them felt about the situation as Will obviously just wants Liam to be happy. It’ll take time for him to reconcile his feelings over missing out on his dream but thankfully it seemed early on in the story he didn’t expect to play baseball his whole life in fact I thought he didn’t plan to play after college at all so maybe he’ll find a new passion.

I don’t know if Will forgot about Liam saying they’d talk about what was bothering him later as it’s not brought up again in this chapter but it seems like Liam is putting off discussing it since he was in no hurry to talk about it. He said it wasn’t about the stepdad or ex-stepdad so I’m concerned about what the issue is as there are no obvious hints at what it might be. Seems like a bad time for a honeymoon if something is bothering him but we’ll find out in due time. I hope it’s nothing too serious. I wonder if it’s something somewhat small in the level of drama it might invoke yet emotionally impactful for him like maybe it’s some kind of trip related to his photography that would take him away from Will for a while which is something neither would be overly excited about as they hate to be apart though I doubt this theory is going to pan out. Hopefully though it’s not a major issue.

That woman and her homophobic parents are evil. I mean falsifying a death like that is horrible though I would have expected them to wonder about things like attending the funeral, newspaper clippings reporting it, etc...even if he was from another state at the time as it seems crazy there’d be nothing except her word backing the story up though they had no reason to doubt her at the time. I may have misinterpreted that though because I assume she said he died around the time he moved to Australia while still being in the U.S. as far as they knew but he may have supposedly died in a wreck in Australia so of course there wouldn’t be much evidence of it in the United States as well as her having a reasonable excuse as to why they couldn’t attend the funeral due to Australia being so far away. Dad...I don’t know if Papi telling you to reveal Uncle Luke & his family were coming to visit meant you weren’t planning to tell them that part or not. Some of your jokes are funny but some aren’t if you can call it a joke to surprise them like that. Yes you told Will & Liam he was alive already so it’s not like him showing up from the dead would blow their minds but a little forewarning that the uncle they thought had been dead for years was coming to visit would be nice without Papi twisting your arm. Will was already overwhelmed so adding extra shocks right now even mild ones don’t seem like a good idea. I kinda find Liam confusing in this chapter as he went off on Derek then turns around saying he thinks it might have been a misunderstanding between him & Will with Will overreacting. If he thought it was a misunderstanding then he overreacted himself and made a big fuss for no reason....so that confuses me. Kinda a split personality moment it seems. I can see where Derek is coming from to an extent but I don’t think Will overreacted either as Derek wasn’t acting like a friend, extended/adopted family, or even acting professionally rather he was acting a bit like an arrogant prick. I get him being protective of those kids and being emotionally invested in them yet he treated Will, who is someone he personally knows very well, like crap. Will didn’t deserve that and while he may have his heart in the right place where those kids are concerned he has it misplaced otherwise nor did Will mishear him. A misunderstanding is when you fail to understand something yet Will fully understands what Derek says and Derek didn’t care to listen to what Will had to say as he had already made up his mind that Will was only spouting empty promises. I have no doubt Liam making a scene and giving those documents over will help to change Derek’s tune but I wouldn’t call anything that happened a misunderstanding nor overreacting on Will’s part.

I didn’t like his attitude but I could understand Derek’s past reaction/worries to an extent. I mean as he said people have giving him the same line about wanting to help the kids yet didn’t keep their promises while on the other hand he personally knows Will so I felt he should have had more faith in him. Still, I didn’t outright damn his atttiude though I thought he could have been nicer. Now though I’ve changed my mind as Derek’s latest bit of verbal diarrhea has no point except to show he’s an ass. I don’t care how protective he is of the kids, Will was clearly worried that revealing Jason’s education situation could get him thrown out of the shelter and he made that clear in his discussion yet Derek cops an atttiude because he thinks Will won’t help this unknown kid despite expressing that he wanted to help him while seemingly having his hands tied. Even Theo doesn’t seem happy with his attitude and I find him bipolar. I’m not sure if bipolar is the right word but he seemingly goes from thinking Will would suddenly stop helping the kids so he’d rather him not do so to acting like he thinks Will has an obligation to help them. I’m being a bit overly dramatic but I don’t care for his attitude even if I can understand it to an extent. I see comments damning Will for being upset with Derek and not seeing things from his point of view yet these things go both ways plus Will said at one point that he saw Derek as family so having someone he sees as family treat him this way especially after dealing with his witch of a mother must hurt him deeply. I also think back to Will’s idea about buying the businesses for the kids to work in and I didn’t care for Derek’s atttiude then about the profits. I get he was worried Will of all people was doing it to just use the kids to make money but I don’t recall if anything was mentioned about the price of the buildings, materials, etc... Yes Will & Liam have a nice bit of money right now but I’d at least want to make my money back over time for the price of starting these business up even if buying the buildings was for a good cause as losing the money on opening businesses isn’t smart no matter the reason for opening them when the people working there will be collecting money as it’s not like they’d be working for free just to get educated. Just because you have money to burn doesn’t mean it’ll last forever and you shouldn’t waste it if there’s a way to help people while earning some of that money back. I’m not talking about them taking every cent made and I think donating the majority to charity is great yet they shouldn’t just not expect to get any of it back. I also don’t think it’s horrible if they did want to make a profit as the kids would still make money, learn a trade, etc...though donating the profits to charity is the best thing to do.

Liam Liam Liam what have you done 😂. I’m assuming the guesses above are correct and that it’s a picture of Will. It could just be a picture of them intimate like that photo of them kissing but the photo he took of Will in bed sounds plausible. I don’t know if I would be mad if I were Will but I’d be embarrassed as well as maybe slightly upset he didn’t ask my permission. I mean not everyone wants a photo of themselves especially a somewhat intimate one on display for the whole world to see. I doubt he’ll get overly upset but he’s going to be shocked.

Wow, they hit him where it hurts as it’s unlikely to be a coincidence they broke his pitching arm. I wonder if they forced him into the showers without anyone noticing or if someone he trusted lured him into a trap with the Coach remarking he shouldn’t have been there. Poor Liam but thankfully he wasn't set on baseball as his sole future and had backup plans. I know it’ll still be emotional for him as the break likely impaired his pitching permanently but it would be worse if he had his heart set on baseball with it being his only goal.

Wow a wild twist for Dad as it sounds like the guy he was considering asking out is dating his old flame so lots of drama there. Um no offense to Mom/Kitt as I assume she’s her friend but why was Babette’s mom even invited? I mean she called Babette a cow, which is a statement I doubt her mom would like 😂 and it stands to reason she likely got her homophobic ways from one if not both of her parents so inviting either of them sounds like an obvious source of drama. Still, I suppose it’s her party so she can invite who she wants though I wouldn’t have invited her without first talking to her about the situation as to ascertain if she was homophobic as well.

It seems like when things seem to be going smoothly life throws another curveball Adam’s way. Thankfully they found out he had appendicitis before the worst happened though I wish he could have some peace.
