I don't want Dr. Phil giving him advice either, but I don't think Matt knows any better. Maybe that's where he's been getting his advice from all along. It would explain a lot.

Forgive me if I’m doubtful, My kids say this all the time! My oldest offered me two trillion dollars if I took him to McD's. I should've known he didn't have that much money...

Matt still has some growing but he’s getting there. Seamus is good motivation! Next chapter we learn a lot more about Seamus. And Kelly.

Matt whined and shoved his head further under the pillow. When the monitor squawked again, Matt groaned. Didn’t Aidan know he wasn’t feeling well? The answer was no. Not that he cared if Matt spent another night with his friends. The first six months of his twenty-first year were mild if you didn’t count Aidan, but now that he was back home and reunited with his old friends, he was making up for it, hard. As hard as one could go when you still had to feed your kid dinner and get him to slee
  5. I think as things settle, Matt will change his mind. It's been six months, it's still a strange concept. He'll be Matt for now, but not forever.
  6. I was going to say it wasn’t even a week, but then I checked and realized it was last Monday! Oops! Aidan knows what’s up
  7. After the way @kbois threw me under the bus, of course I did lol
  8. For the record. I posted it at 11:58pm Eastern time. Just before midnight. 5:58pm Hawaiian time. #deadlinechamp
  9. Matt laughed so hard on the way home he almost crashed, twice. If only he could be more like them when he drank; happy, funny, and everyone’s best friend. Seamus’s friends spent the entire drive hanging out the window, yelling at unsuspecting bystanders. ‘I LOVE YOU MAN!’ ‘YOU’RE AMAZING!’, ‘HOW MUCH FOR YOUR JACKET?!’. It was so different than drinking with his friends. Better. It was so much better. They were almost to the loft, and Matt was still smiling when Seamus reached ac
  10. Who’s side are you on anyway?!
  11. Nope. About half way. I’ve been swamped. I’m hoping to get the next chapter posted tonight but, ehh, not sure that will happen. Tomorrow for sure! And I say that with 85% confidence
  12. Good eye...
  13. Just Jay, others are straight 🏹
  14. Seamus has been a bit of a loner thus far, I'm glad we could see him with his friends and see him as a whole person who is more than just a guy that revolves around Matt and Aidan.
  15. Seamus has some stuff he needs to work through, reasons why those things are difficult, and why they aren't talked about openly. We will hear more from him in the next few chapters. We'll also hear more from Jay later. He's fun.
  16. Jesus can't help him
  17. Could you share a bit more. What do you feel is their conundrum? Elephant? What should work is wrong? Just curious where your thoughts are.
  18. I had a whole, super neutral response typed out but deleted it because the truth is...two fully mature men having mature conversations right out of the gate? BORING 😂 Also, Matt has a solid head on his shoulders...it just needs the occasional adjustment
  19. The lobby was unusually quiet as Matt made his way to the loft, so was the elevator. Nervously, he paused outside the door. He didn’t know what he was walking into. Seamus was upset, Matt knew that much. He knew he had done nothing wrong but he could understand how Seamus might’ve felt a little blindsided. Matt had mentioned his summer plans more than once, but they hadn’t explicitly talked about Matt moving out. Surely Seamus knew they would not live together right off the bat? That would
  20. I know, I was thinking of posting Chapter nine early. Everyone can meet Seamus's friends.
  21. I didn’t think Matt came off as someone who was using Seamus for those things. This is an interesting perspective.
  22. Yes, me, I’m team Aido Potatoe! I’m also team Seamatt
  23. I get this, but from another perspective, Matt should have the freedom to be able to go home without feeling guilt. It’s been a HUGE year for him. His Life changed. I’d want to go home and leave my responsibilities behind, too. Matt’s never had a grown up relationship. Should he have sat down and talked to Seamus? Yes, he can’t control Seamus’s feelings.
