  1. It makes me happy to know that you, and the other readers, have enjoyed this extra chapter. It is the comments and support within them that helped to inspire and encourage me to write it, but I could not have done it without @raven1 who worked hard with the editing. The loving welcome they received from Grandad Ox and the journey home that filled them with excitement is a good start to their new lives, Manny would be jumping with joy. Their next story is still in the planning stage and I hope you and all of the readers will join us again in the future.
  2. Hi Gary, how are things in your neck of the woods?
  3. Thank you Chris, I appreciate your comments and support throughout the story.
  4. You mean the Drewth.
  5. Have you not seen the giant frogs that can jump more than five feet?
  6. I'm good thanks, I've been busy rewriting an earlier story and adding a bonus chapter, which I posted today, among other things. How have you been?
  7. Thank you for the fantastic comments, Benjamin and Joseph have a lot to look forward to. Anything could happen in the future so look out for their next story. Their brief appearance in What Happened To The Baxter Boys shows us that they do take an active role in GJC Ltd. I got the hint, there will be another story in the future.
  8. He's scared of frogs because they can jump higher than he is tall
  9. Thank you for the wonderful comments. I can see that you are as excited as Benjamin and Joseph are for their future. I promise this will not be the last you hear of them as their story continues, they have a larger, extended 'family' that are excitedly waiting to meet them.
  10. The boys excitement at arriving in the UK and their journey to their new home was so infectious I was bouncing in my chair with excitement as I wrote it, lol.
  11. Chapter 18, the bonus chapter, of Goldstein Johnson & Cole (2024 re-write) is now live.
  12. The Major felt a tingle run through him when he heard the words Grandad Ox. Kissing both boys on the top of their heads, he released them from his grip, holding them at arm's length. The Major looked into the eyes of each boy in return and smiled. "It's good to finally meet you both. I've been looking forward to it. Come on, the car is over here. Let's get you all home." With his arms over the boys' shoulders, The Major led the way to the private hire vehicle waiting for them, leaving Ian a

    The Return Home

I'm all ears 🦻oops I forgot to turn on the hearing aid after replacing the batteries. And I listen to my editor more than he thinks I do. 👅

    Chapter 2

Whoever the killer is there is no trace of fingerprints or DNA on any database tells me they are either an amateur, which I doubt, or a very experienced and successful professional hitman, which is likely as they managed to get Sal who I imagine would be vigilant. Is the teasing of the torn-up ticket from the show an intentional red herring or an intentional clue left by the killer? If it's a clue, could it be someone connected to the show who Joe has crossed/upset? No ideas yet, but I'm still taking notes. 🤔

And now for more good news. @raven1 pulled out all of the stops, he has worked long and hard (without me cracking the whip) and completed the final edit of the bonus chapter. I will post it tomorrow.

Unfortunately, none of this takes place in the next chapter. But rest assured, notes have been taken and added to my notes, you never know what will appear in future stories. 😃

    The Return Home

This is an exciting time for Benjamin and Joseph and meeting Grandad Ox was emotional. Landing in Manchester is not quite the end, there is still the last leg of the journey to complete. Some of what you mention is included in the bonus chapter, the rest is for other stories. The boys do make a brief appearance in What Happened To The Baxter Boys, I'm sure we will hear from them again.

  24. Chapter 17 of Goldstein Johnson & Cole (2024 re-write) is now live. There is also an important announcement to make. I would like to share something with you. As you may know, the original story ended at this point, but your wonderful comments and reactions have inspired me to write a bonus chapter for the rewrite. I am currently working on it with the help of @raven1 who is fantastic at editing. I hope to be able to post it soon, within a week or less.
