    Epilogue

Thank you for the wonderful comments they are appreciated. @raven1 was a great help to me and helped to bring the story to the readership, his help has been invaluable. I'm happy that you have enjoyed the story and hope that the 'nicer' parts of the story have given you a feel of what Manchester is like, I'm sure you would enjoy a visit if you are able. If the story has made a good enough impression can I ask you to leave a review and recommendation? They would also be appreciated.

While Joseph's physical suffering has ended his emotional and mental suffering continues, luckily Ian and Kevin have a good contact who will help to get the right treatment. I'm always in favour of a seaside break.
  3. Hi B, My doctor tells me that any exercise is good for you, but I'm sure there are places with better scenery than the supermarket, unless you spot a cutie bending over the freezer, lol.

Joseph has suffered and the only person who knows the full extent of it has now passed away. Manny told of at least some of it as when he found Joseph he was badly beaten, bleeding and with a broken arm, or as Joseph said it, he was broken and left to die. Ian and Kevin realise this and know that Joseph needs help. Luckily back home they can turn to Jeff who will either help directly or introduce them to a trusted professional. Hopefully, a short break in Haifa will be just what they all need before Ian and Kevin return to the UK.
  5. “No, no, please stop. You are hurting me.” The heavy stick came down again. It struck harder on his back as he tried to crawl away. “Please, I beg you. No more.” CRACK The sound echoed in his ears as the bone in his forearm broke. “Arrgh!” He screamed. The pain was unbearable. His clothes stuck to his body, and the blood oozing from the cuts on his back made them stick. “Nooooo!” Joseph woke up drenched in sweat, his night clothes sticking to him. He st

    Sshh 🤫 where's that sticky tape 🩹
  8. For anyone who hasn't heard of the "pay it forward" concept I recommend they look up the film titled "Pay It Forward" starring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and child actor Haley Joel Osment. It gets a mention in "What Happened To The Baxter Boys" and is a good emotionally charged film.
  9. And I thought you loved me, lol.
  10. Hey, In resemble that remark, lol.
  11. Mushy peas help to add a little more flavour to chip butties and their smoothness adds a nice contrast to the crisp batter coating the fish. Depending on where you are in the UK determines your choice of fish. Cod is the most common and is available in all chip shops, other choices could include haddock, hake, plaice or skate. In some chip shops where the type of fish is not specified you may be given pollock, all of them are tasty and I like them all. I think Jacob is developing a connection with Joseph and his charges from the UK, he is a good man.
  12. Minor disasters like this can often be hilarious, they can also help relieve tensions and I'm sure there are some as Joseph gets to know Ian and Kevin. Fun days out are a great way to bond with those new in our lives. Fingers crossed behind the scenes plans are progressing. 🤞
  13. I don't think so, but it would make a great pic, lol.
  14. Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good day.
  15. Hi B, it's wet and miserable weather but I'm feeling good thanks. How's things down under?
  16. The pancake explosion was based on a childhood event, I'm not evil for reliving it at Joseph's expense, am I? These comical moments become fond memories. Almost everyone I know likes eating fish, chips and peas so I'm hopeful that Joseph will enjoy it too. I wonder what he will think of McDonalds and KFC. Let's keep our fingers crossed that everything is going just as well behind the scenes. 🤞
  17. Ian and Kevin had just reached the bottom of the stairs when they heard the crash, quickly followed by the sounds of glass shattering and horrified shrieks from Shamira and Joseph. The colour drained from their faces, Ian bounded across the hall to the kitchen, and Kevin stood poised with his mobile ready to press *# as Jacob had instructed. The twins could be heard crying out on the patio. Ian opened the kitchen door. Seeing the mess and disaster in the kitchen, he immediately brought his

I can assure you that @raven1 and I have our tools safely locked away. I am merely telling the story and @raven1 is only assisting by helping me tell it in the best way possible. We cannot be held responsible for the actions of others, we can only tell you what they do.

Yes, John will assist Isaac in advocating for Ian, Kevin and Joseph, but I'm not sure how much detail he will release. I would like to write Manny's biography, however, he is a difficult man to research. If I find it possible, I will post it in the future.

Manny was, and still is, held in high regard by those he helped, I think it is safe to say they are spread far and wide. 'John' is a man who only discloses information on a need-to-know basis, the money has been returned and that is all we need to know.

Thank you for the enthusiastic comment @akascrubber and yes we have learned something about Manny, his legacy is more than financial. You may also find this interesting too;- Emmanuel; Origin: Hebrew. Meaning: God is with us. It does look like there may be a solution and Isaac's prayers have been answered, let's hope no more spanners are waiting to be thrown into the works.
