  1. Ian spoke to The Major and Christian, who assured him that Sean was doing a sterling job managing the business. Sean was enjoying the extra responsibility and reporting good figures. They were confident Sean could continue for longer, giving Ian and Kevin another week or more before they needed to return. With the business doing well and running smoothly, Kevin paid the extra fee and arranged the rescheduled flights. Joseph had mixed feelings; he was happy that Ian and Kevin would be s
  2. This is a story that I have read and enjoyed. I may read it again.

    Part 4

I agree with you, any child who is lucky enough to have parents like Philip and Emily must feel like they have won the lottery.
  4. Mancunian

    Part 3

I love seeing and reading all of the comments from readers, yours too. I'm happy that you like the happy note the chapter ended on, I enjoyed writing this chapter.

    Part 2

Thank you for the wonderful comments, this is an exceptionally emotional time for John. With everything John is going through the rush of hormones because of puberty causes him to act irrationally. Not every young boy would behave that way, not every young boy would be experiencing what John is going through. Each young boy is different in the same way that we are all different as we grow and mature and they experience it at different times in different ways, this is an important part that is often overlooked in education. Philip understood and dealt with the matter appropriately.

    Part 1

I'm happy that you like the first chapter. I hope you continue to enjoy the story, I'd love to read any comments you choose to leave.
  7. Sorry, Harry got lost. To answer the serious question, the phone that Ian referred to was his UK phone, that's the one he would use for communication with Sean in the UK. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
  8. I'm not sure what Tom and Dick are doing there, or what they are doing. I hope they don't come up against more obstacles. 🤞
  9. I love that you are following the story but Deus Ex Machina doesn't quite fit, chapter 3 The Major Returns, chapter 4 Preparations and some 'reading between the lines', may explain. I can't give anything away as that would be a spoiler. All will become clear in time, I promise.
  10. These guys are not exactly 'new men', they appeared in an earlier chapter, although you may not realise who they are. There is more than Jacob and Associated Executive Car Services looking out for Ian and Kevin. I don't know what you mean about a Deus Ex Machina solution, we keep everything aboveboard here, I think .
  11. Isaac prepared for his meeting with Ian and Kevin by reviewing the file his secretary prepared. It was large and included all of the information and documents supplied by Manny. Although the preparations had been made, no application had been made due to Manny's sudden death. The complexity and size of the case required time to search for any detail that might prove valuable. Nothing in the case was straightforward; Joseph had no biological connection to Manny or the lads, and the existing paper
  12. Thanks for the comments Anton, they are appreciated. I can't tell you where the information or research comes from or we may end up in a Mexican stand-off 🔫, but I'd rather we kept weapons holstered as mine is only a water pistol, lol. We are not trying to borrow trouble, we're just keeping an open mind, it's just prudent that's all. The friendship bracelets were Joseph'd idea, bought from a market trader they don't contain tracker devices. Their mobile phones contain activated GPS signals. From the pool of cars owned by his employers, Jacob prefers the Land Rover Discovery 4, as it has more space for his big frame and performs almost as well as the Range Rover on the road and has better performance off-road making it more practical in Israel. His role is more of a 'minder' than a protection detail which allows him to become closer and more friendly with his charges and doesn't require an armour-plated vehicle or other special provision.
  13. Whatever Kevin's idea is hopefully it will help. I would be more concerned about the areas that the secretary says need more attention, what could that mean?
  14. Although many countries advise against it Israel has a lot to offer by way of tourist attractions, and if you can avoid the trouble spots it can be a very enjoyable holiday/vacation destination. As you point out Jacob, and his colleagues are enjoying the assignment and even joining in on the fun ensuring good cover. Isaac has his work cut out, hopefully, Kevin's idea, whatever it is, will help. But will it be enough?
  15. I'm happy that you see the bond being formed between Ian, Kevin and Joseph, have you noticed that Jacob appears to be forming a bond with Joseph too? I could say that you are being pessimistic waiting for problems to occur, but I really think you are being realistic. Few things in life are as easy and simplistic as we would like them to be, but what can or will go wrong? What problems are around the corner?
  16. After a lunch of chicken schnitzel followed by baklava, the lads returned to Isaac's home in the SUV driven by Jacob. They headed back through the crowded streets filled with aggressive, inconsiderate drivers. The journey was uneventful if you ignored the extra dent and scratch inflicted on the large SUV by an impatient driver in Jerusalem's traffic. The impatient and overly aggressive driver inside the car became meek-mannered when he stepped out of the vehicle to face Jacob. Kevin and Ian were
  17. Happy Birthday @raven1 my dear friend, I wish you all the best and hope you and Aod enjoy celebrating.
  18. I read this story in one go and didn't stop to comment on each chapter. I was too engrossed and couldn't wait to read what happened next. I don't want to spoil the story for you, but I will say this - get ready with a box of tissues. Many chapters will make you cry, some out of sadness and some out of joy. The story is so captivating, and it's one of the best I've ever read. It moved me to tears, and I was sobbing uncontrollably. It made me shiver, and my heart was beating fast. I assure you that this story will touch your heart too, but you won't regret reading it. This story deserves more than a five-star rating and is highly recommended. Please read it!
  19. Something tells me that, like me, you have had to deal with the legalese and incessant paperwork that is required in many legal matters. Hopefully, Isaac, or one of his colleagues can find a way to slice through it easily. 🤞
  20. 🤞I've got my fingers crossed that they have the best-qualified help if they encounter any problems. 🤞
  21. Thank you Terry for the wonderful comment, I hope you will enjoy this version more as there is added dialogue and description in this rewritten version. Some chapters required more work than others with the help of @raven1.
  22. I'm so happy that you are enjoying the story @Anton_Cloche, and yes it does look promising. But we have all heard of Murphy's law, or sod's law as others may know it. Lets hope they don't experience any of that, it could prove to be an obstacle. 🤞
  23. Everything does look good, doesn't it? I don't know about you but I have my fingers crossed that they don't come across any of the many pitfalls that could scupper their plans. 🤞
  24. Isaac and Shamira looked cautiously optimistic as Ian and Kevin bonded with Joseph. They also had bonded with Joseph and were delighted to see his bright smile and excitement as he talked with the two men. This was the first time they had seen him genuinely happy and smiling. It was plain for anyone to see that a bond was quickly forming. Now, the work could begin to realise Avi Emanuel’s dream. They all had to make sure that this boy remained happy and safe. Shamira had prepared a light me
