That's how things sometimes happen with so much going on in a short space of time. Everything is looking good for the boys, I've got my fingers crossed that it keeps going that way. 🤞 I will admit writing with crossed fingers is not easy, lol. I think I'll be okay, he's a good guy with morals and a sense of fair play. That's why I love him.

It is possible that Sister Judy overreacted, it may be due to her motherly nature toward her staff and younger patients. I have known her to rip into one patient in the past, but then he was a belligerent old military man, and I think on that occasion she was only acting . As for the medical students, it may be due to the example shown to them by a doctor they respect, or it could be that they are advanced in their training. Some nurses are more forgiving than others, Nurse Donna is one of those. Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it.

The reality at Manchester Royal Infirmary is the same as at other NHS hospitals in the UK, they are understaffed. Due to staff working overtime and some use of agency staff, they manage to keep a reasonable staffing level each shift. We owe a great deal to our hardworking dedicated NHS staff who provide a service that is envied elsewhere. It's a shame that we cannot say the same about many of those in charge of our NHS. Michael is in the best place he can be, the doctors and nurses do not discriminate against those who are homeless. What we do know from chapter one is that Michael is straight and accepts his brother, it tells us the brothers love each other as brothers do. We don't know how his time on the streets has affected him or his thoughts towards others, although I'm sure we will discover that in time. There will be surprises for both of the brothers, let's hope they are good ones. Charlie's thoughts and reactions are normal and are probably affected by living on the streets. Both of the brothers will need time to adjust, hopefully, the values they were brought up with will help them. 🤞 Thank you for your interesting insight and thoughts, they are welcome and appreciated.

I certainly hope that you are right about Michael's recovery and that the boys do land on their feet (secretly I believe that you may be right, but don't tell everybody, let's keep it between us 😉).
