I think I'm gonna buy shares in Kleenex next, lol. I love that you are enjoying the story, sometimes the best way to deal with the emotional side of life is to face it with wit and humour. You are right, in this big bad world there are some good people, Max and Stacy are just two of them. Charlie and Michael have been lucky to stumble on by where Max is working, I'm hoping their luck holds out 🤞 . As for Brad, well he had two thoughts, one about love and lust and I think lust took over. But I see you are concentrating on his second thought where he silently asks for a chance because he realises he could easily fall for Charlie. Let's cross our fingers and hope that there is something real there 🤞🤞. And yes, Stacy is up to something, is it something that Charlie wants? We will find out in time. I'd say smitten, his thoughts give it away he's not sure if it's love or lust, it's too soon to love. The sight of Danny and Jason sporting morning wood that morning and relieving himself is possibly the closest he's thought, or done, anything about sex for a while, will that make a difference? The answer is the same as for many other questions, only time will tell. His main motivation at this moment is his worry for Michael, I think Charlie would take any legitimate job, as long as he earns honest cash he won't care what the job is. Charlie is as healthy as he can be given his circumstances and as for horny, well yes he has already proved that in the bathroom, lol. Is Brad what he needs? I guess we will find out as only Brad and Charlie can decide that, I can't As for experimenting with Danny and Jason? All I can say is that all of them have a history, we know some of Charlie's, Danny and Jason's past appeared in another story (The Boot Three Years On). Our pasts affect our decisions and sometimes our future. Thank you for reading and commenting, your observations are interesting.

Charlie and Michael have been lucky, I wish all homeless youngsters could be as lucky. The Robins family is doing what they feel is the right thing to do, hopefully, something good will come of it. We need to hope that Charlie feels the support and makes the most of it. Stacy has done something, but what that something is, is yet to be discovered. The Recycle Shop is doing what it is there to do. It is part of a much bigger project that is there to help and support. But the question is, what is Brad up to? His own thoughts have told us he doesn't know if it is love or lust, both are powerful feelings, but they are also very different. Thank you for your thoughtful comments, I hope you continue to enjoy the story.

You have picked up on something very important. There are moments for Charlie which bring back memories, while they are happy memories many of them are tinged with sadness as he remembers his mother which is a normal reaction. I wonder if Charlie and Michael have been able to grieve due to past events. Is there a chance of romance between Brad and Charlie? Only time will tell, there may be a spark but will it light any flames 🤔 . Thank you @Albert1434 for your support and for taking the time to read and comment, and I appreciate the compliment, like all authors I am always trying to improve.

Charlie lay back on his bed with a multitude of thoughts swirling around in his head. Though exhausted, sleep didn't come easy and he was still trying to process everything that had happened that day. Charlie kept replaying the day's events over and over in his mind. Half carrying a very ill Michael on the long walk to Manchester City centre had taken all of Charlie’s strength. Then, the harrowing experience of thinking he was going to fight with Max and lose. I've been busy lately with work and trying to keep writing, Terry has been, and still is, a great help and support. I've have an easier week this week but still writing. I have a few chores to do but not much and my shopping is being delivered this afternoon, I prefer to shop online and avoid the supermarket queues. Will you be joining me as I relax and put my feet up with a nice cup of tea?
