Today has been cloudy, with rain since late morning, and it's still raining with less than an hour and half to go before midnight. The rain has't been too heavy - I suppose it was what could be termed a soft day.
I had a hospital appointment this afternoon. What's known as a diabetic retina scan. They've done one every year since I was diagnosed, as Type 2 diabetes, if untreated, can lead to eye damage. They've not turned up any damage so far in previous tests, but I won't get the results from this one until about two weeks time.
One good thing about the dull day was that I didn't have to wait the usual three hours before I could drive home. They put drops in my eyes to make the pupils really wide, and that can make it difficult to see for a while, even with sunglasses on. The dull day meant that my eyes were able to function properly after about an hour.
