Thanks, Tom! I can't wait until chapter two ... A wise man said, "High speed trains start slow" But, just wait for it. 😄

God, you have NO idea. This first chapter doesn't do the name justice at all. Just ... WAIT.

Thanks, rick. I have to admit ... I'm curious what people might say about this one. lol

There are a few meta things here. Frank and Ben share some characteristics with us. Mainly, I wrote Frank, and mainly tim wrote Ben. It helped make them different. But, they’re their own messed up selves. I wouldn’t want to wish my dysfunction on poor Frank. He has enough to handle!

Thanks, molly! And thanks for being one of our first readers of the early chapters. You and @Brayon were really helpful. 🙂

Maybe tim just wants you to enjoy the glory that is Trainwreck along with the rest of the world. he's doing it out of love! But, seriously ... thanks for the encouragement. 🙂

You don't. You have inside access to one of the authors. Oh ... that statement works a couple of ways. lol

    Chapter 16

Chapter 6, he found out that he was in witness protection and ex-mafia. Chapter 14 he found out Corbin wasn't exactly totally removed from the mafia ... and they argued about it (after the scene with Luca in the restaurant).
  10. Devin was lost in thought, wondering as he often did if any of his life would be right. And how things always seemed just that little bit wrong. Ben is a great person. I know he loves me, but … damn it, is that enough? Ben and his husband, Devin, were waiting in a sales office for their salesman Bill Garrand to return. T.O. Boat Sales was located, appropriately, downtown on Toronto’s waterfront. Reaching for Devin’s hand, Ben smiled. "This is going to be great. Just think of the peace an
  11. Two serious writers named Frank and Ben take a stab at collaboration, and end up mired in a contract they never really wanted. This ... is their story. But first, a word from our sponsor. "As The Houseboat Floats brought to you in part by Fresh Lemon Dish soap and by, Pretty Package Boxers. For the man who likes to present well."
  12. Thanks for the resources @Snowblind, and I'm glad you're still around.
  13. “We made it to ten this year! That’s pretty good.” And that’s how you know your priorities have changed. Happy New Year, all!

    Chapter 17

Yup. The question is, does Luca know? Because that answer changes the game completely...
  15. Nice ending, Thorn. Great story. Thanks for sharing it! 🙂
  16. I loved the scene in the hospital, and loopy-Mark talking to Ben. It was cute. 🙂

    Chapter 13

I am not. The Italian in this story was written through liberal use of Google Translate and a friend who is fluent and charitably corrected the electronic foibles. Stefano? You don't like him? Why ever not? 😉

I'm sorry that this is how you feel. We write to evoke something, some emotion. Those without talent can't do it. But, just so you know ... I feel this.
  19. Thank you, Parker. I'm glad it has spoken to you in such a way. I really needed to write it, and I'm happy that I did. More to come on Wednesday.
  20. Hehehe. Yeah, Elias has grown confident enough to let his snarky side show through. He's still very much a sweet kid, and I do hope his progress has felt organic. Taking those kittens anywhere would require momma's approval. And so far, Paul is the only one she allows to touch them. hehehe Thanks for reading and commenting, Danilo!
  21. I do have something else up my sleeve. 😄 The rest of that money stayed with the artist. His college/pottery fund. But with a kid like Elias, it's likely he won't keep it all to himself. Yep!
  22. Awww. I'm glad it feels that way. 🙂 Thanks for reading!
  23. Thanks, Chris. You're right. Jeremy still has his charges to tell. That should be fun, eh? That is, if I can keep drama away from my characters for a chapter. Any bets?
  24. That's a very firm "no". I think you'll be okay, droughtquake. 😉
  25. Thanks, Tom! You did catch that drift. So, that last epilogue I added to Guarded? Well, this chapter you just read happened prior to that epilogue. Paul and Corbin came home from the airport to find little Miss Zampa had crawled on their bed and had a litter of three bobcat kittens. She's no dummy. She knows a good den when she sees it! And despite what Corbin said, he was definitely jealous that Zampa allowed Paul to pick up her newborn kittens.
