I admit I wasn't expecting this part of the story but it makes perfect sense. Kent was thinking of the actual trial There would be hearings. Testimony. Clinical language dissecting the worst night of my life into procedural sentences. They would describe the angle of the blade. The depth of penetration. The time of death. They would speak about my brother as a body. The idea made something in me recoil. What would be better? Going through the whole trial? Or would it be better for a pleading guilty and avoiding a trial. To only see the person at sentencing

Everything about the chapter was positive for everybody involved. I have one thing in common with Kent I would stay until the lease expires also in my muddled mind to do otherwise is giving money away. During the chapter Devon always video chatting with Scott had me thinking also and then Marvin actually said it ,Speaking of.........Devon raised both hands in the air. “I wasn’t thinking about sex or anything. It's being set up as a confrontation between Darien and the King but I'm hoping what the Priest said to The King will have some effect. I'm really surprised Rashid showed some wisdom in his actions. Although he throws Khalid under the bus(or the Horse?...Camel)..Come to think of it a lot of siblings do that.
