  1. No sir! You're not done here. There are still too many issues to be resolved with Puppy and Hunter and Steven. Loved you're writing so far, but you're leaving us in the middle on this one.
  2. The real agony is waiting for the next chapter.

    Attitude

I was starting to have some hope for Hunter after the previous chapter. He declared his love for Puppy and it looked to me that it might inspire him to work through some of the mess that is his life (at least superficially.) And then he goes and does what he did at the party. Did he look after Puppy out of real concern or just to save his own fat from the fire. And then blowing puppy off like that. I had rather hoped that Hunter would turn out to be more than what everyone has saying about him. And Puppy and Steven both have to face some consequences for their bad decisions. I'm glad to see that Steven has become completely protective of his brother, but they could really end up in dire straights if both of them don't wise up a bit. on another though, when Hunter came clean with Puppy a few chapters ago, he said how much he like to bottom, how good it made him feel. So far he has only been a top and used Puppy only for his pleasure, That could indicate so much about where he really is in this relationship. Patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for the next chapter
  4. Such a tough time, and add to the mixed teenage hormones and anxiety, and lack of relationship experience, and it's going to be an unstable brew.I feel for all of them. I hope they can come out the other side as friends. And am I the only one who is nervous about Hunter. I hope he's not just toying with Puppy as his next conquest. Love on the rebound has its own perils. (Then again, I met my husband on the rebound from someone else, and we've been together 37 years.) So we'll have to see where this "Puppy Love" (just dated myself again) goes. That you for the great storytelling.

    Obsessions

I am adoring all of these folks more and more with each chapter. I have a cousin who was very much like Steven. (Actually, he still is, and he's almost 70 now.) I didn't see him that often, but he had that same manner of coarseness that embraced you very quickly. It made me feel like I was friends with a Wild Thing. Steven is definitely growing on me. I'm also loving the way things are unfolding for Puppy and Dave. There is just enough playfulness and uncertainty at the same time. They both have had rough paths leading here, and Dave understands what he needs when things get bad. Hopefully they can be strength and support of each other. Eager for more. Thanks.
  6. Wow! So many wonderful developments in this chapter. Steven and Puppy are going to be OK.They are certainly bonding and I think, in his own way, Steven would stand up for Puppy the same was he would for Dave. Loyalty. That what Susan said. I'm looking forward to more.

    Meeting Steven

I had been concerned that Steven was going to discover Puppy's buttons and how easy it was to push them. I hope I'm wrong about that. The last thing Puppy needs in his new environment is someone manipulative. We'll see.
  8. Wow! So much ground covered here. A lot of changes for everyone, and a lot of new things for everyone to get used to. And throwing two sixteen year old boys together is going to be rough going. My guess is that they'll both try to kill each other and end up bonding over it. (I have no brothers, so I'm only guessing how that dynamic works.)

    My Dad Max

It takes a very patient and dedicated person to properly understand someone who is bipolar. I have had several friends, and one short term boyfriend, who are, and I wish I were more able to help them. Puppy has so much going for him, but he needs more help than he appears to be getting at Greenstone. Asking that a 16-year old get a hold of his emotions is not enough. Nor is doping him as an easy out. I hope that he can get some genuine help that can let him enjoy his life and give him the support he needs to take more control for himself.

    Chapter 21-Epilogue

Wonderful wrap up to this story. But you're not done with these characters. (That's not a question) I don't want to let go of Kyle and Jett and Kim and Bruce and Rosie and Tater and Bo and Noah and ... Great writing, as always. Whatever your next opus is, I look forward to reading it. Thank you.

    Chapter 20

I let you know my thoughts as soon as stop bawling. Beautifully way to tie things up and set all of our heroes and heroines on their way to recovering from all of these horrors. Resilience is a remarkable thing, but it takes a lot of love and nurturing to be successful.

    Chapter 19

I had at least guessed that Nikki would remember the notion that there had been 2 assailants. Her deduction and observation were very keen indeed. On to the next chapter. I can't ration the chapters out any longer.

    Chapter 18

A difficult chapter to read, but completely captivating too. I can't read any of the comments. I have too many second guesses of my own and can't have any more buzzing around in my head. You have an amazing way for putting average people into surreal circumstances without it feeling forced or absurd. (Of course, that is probably the way such things happen to random people.) One just doesn't want to believe that such sick psychopaths exist in this world even though we know they do. Kim and Kyle at least have each others' strength to bolster themselves. On to the next chapter.

    Chapter 14

Marvelous all the way around! I'm loving all of your characters so much.

    Chapter 13

I've always loved your ability to make me laugh out loud at your characters' antics. I just adore Jett's family, and can hardly wait to see what you have in store for Bo and Noah. Having dated a guy in college who was almost a foot taller than me, I know the challenges (and fun) that can be.

    Chapter 12

We now know that Bo knows how to make an entrance. Wonderful to see playful family dynamics happening. As usual, I am loving your characters.
  17. Perfect solution!
  18. In tears again! A beautiful coda to the story. I definitely want to read more about Gary and Bill. Wonderful writing, Grumpy. Looking forward to your next adventures.
  19. Yep, you did it to me again. This sentimental sap is just bawling over the beautiful wedding vows. Lovely ending. Not only the sharing of love, but deep and true friendships. Thank you. Looking forward to the epilogue.

    Home at Last

Wonderful story! You found a great balance between the action and the romance. I love all of the characters and hope that we will get to follow more of their adventures in the future. Thanks for the good reading.

    Joe

With both of these stories, we have wonderful tales of people just starting to emerge. Everyone's coming out story is different as is everyone's moment of truth. Some had easier paths than others, and some never quite found their way. As for relationships, many of us grew up in a time when we had no models to follow, For many of us, we quickly learned that what our parents had, wasn't going to fit our lives. We all sort of made it up as we went along. As always, I look forward to your next chapter. This format of individual vignettes is great!

So glad to ready more of your Camp refuge tales. Your writing always draws me in so quickly. This was such a lovely story. Even though one could guess where it would end up, the journey is so wonderful. Thank you.

    Embers 14

You had me on pins and needles until this chapter came out. Once again, you've worked your magic and gotten me wrapped up and worried over a fictitious character. If you'd killed off Brandon, I would have felt seriously cheated. It seems like there are so many more personal relationships that want to be fleshed out, and I'm looking forward to reading them. Thank you.

    Embers 10

Another of your great stories. Am very excited to see where this goes. I'm guessing there are some big changes ahead for all of the fellas.
  25. You do manage to get a lot of suspense into short chapters. I'm loving the journey so far.
