  1. Another humdinger of a chapter. Will Coop go solo, will he try again with Kyle, will Chase make it right? So many questions and chapters to find out.
  2. I agree with @Torontotop. I want Chase to make this right.
  3. One of the advantages of multi-generational friendship groups. Networks and contacts. Same can be said for inter-generational relationships.

    No Surrender

Yes that makes sense. It could be quite tedious trying to force a 1 theme conversation when very often multiple conversations re happening at once.
  5. I'm amazed that Coop didn't know. Wikipedia knows everything. But really, Chase need not have hidden this info. He assumed Coop would explode. Why? Coop was also married. Assume makes an ass out of u and me.

    No Surrender

Another super chapter. A really nice group of people at the dinner and another friend for CJ.

    No Surrender

They are really good. It shows an intimacy between the men that goes way beyond sex.
  8. CJ is definitely becoming part of the broader community. A new school like Walls might be very good for him. I don't want to believe that Chip is cheating so I'm hoping that the redhead is not a sexual interest. Let's see.
  9. Agreed.
  10. I've got feeling that the redhead might not be a boyfriend. Perhaps a newly found son. Let's see.

    Magic

It's good to see the guys together. Like others have said, a talk with CJ is in order. What he did was very brave and he certainly deserves any cudos. Just be cautious. Although, truth be told, is there such a thing as a cautious teen?

    Magic

Yeahnever heard of ice bags in beer before. Fantastic idea.
  13. Well that is a nice promotion for Brett. CJ was brave to do what he did. I don't think most 15 year Olds would be able to take on a belligerent adult in that way.

    Tension

Hey J.El. you are welcome to Connor but let it not be forgotten that Rusty is mine, simply on loan to Matty for the sake of the story.

    Tension

That makes sense. I hope he eventually shows his love for Rusty.

    Tension

At last! Rusty is going to take singing lessons. I'm sure his teacher was not being kind, but rather telling him what potential he had. Conor of course is a pontificating shite. Rusty and Matty will need to be ready for him. A lovely chapter. Thank you. Rusty is going to be a star🌟
  17. Like all of Mrs Fox' writing, this is humorous and light-hearted but deals with complex social and personal issues. The continuation of The story told from Rusty's point of view is even better than the first volume which focused on Jonathan and Maddox. A super read.
  18. So we learn that Devon had an affair. Coop sees guys on the side and will move in with Chase. Divorce is the best option. I think things are going to get very rough with the kids. I'm not sure that moving into a gay neighborhood is the best decision. 🤔
  19. I really love these characters despite their flaws and idiosyncrasies. Let's see how this goes, but it will not be plan sailing, that's for shit sure.
  20. Yep, Devon will take him to the cleaners, and that will be the price for his freedom.
  21. That's exactly what we'll call it. Agreed.

    Prologue

I nearly stopped reading when I realized Coop had married Devon. I'm glad I didn't. This kind of marriage rarely ends well. I was in one for 23 years. You've captured it well. Glad to see Chase again.

    The List

The List tells the story of Cooper who explores his sexuality, makes a series of silly mistakes and a few serious ones before finding his equilibrium as a young gay man. I laughed, cried, was angry and light-hearted all at once. A well-written story with believable and endearing characters.

    Epilogue

I loved this story. It was so good to watch Coop, experiment, make silly mistakes , some serious ones and then finally meet the right guy. And grow into it. ❤ 😍
  25. I may just be a foolish old man because he is in his 20s and I'm in my 50s. But hey ho...
