Well Donovan has cemented his character. It wasn't alcohol that led him to force himself on James. It was who he is. He needs to be stopped because he will end up in prison if he doesn't. Well thatvwas a heart-wrenching chapter. In a way I'm glad that James is out and can be himself, but it should never be taken out of his control. Donovan is a predator and needs to be put in his place. Roy will ultimately be part of that I think. I think James' mum is sad that she found out by chance and may feel that James did not trust her enough to tell her.

He probably could legally. Whether that would create more trouble than it's worth though, is another matter. George is a good diplomat, so perhaps that is rhe approach he will take with Caroline. Let's see.

Donovan did support James in the confrontation at school so he must fet points for that. Now how well will he treat James at the party and afterwards. That is the big question.

Whilst we don't know for sure what Donovan is about, I suspect that James will just be a conquest and he would move on. Dion could be something more real. But then Donovan does have that huge dick 🤔 🤣 😂

A fantastic first chapter. Thank you. Mrs Horner is one of those horrid teachers who embarrasses kids. It does seem that these days, after 30 years in education, that parents automatically support their chikdren, unless there is absolute empirical evidence of their wrongdoing. The word of a teacher does not carry the weight it should carry. Teachers like Mrs Horner are a big reason for this I think. Anyways, it's lovely to meet James and the gang.

I absolutely adore this series. Granger is my all time favorite character and this story is one if the best on the GA site. Thank you for the insight into London society and the ways of the court. Granger will need to be very decisive as he takes back control.of his extensive estate, a fortune that he has largely amassed through his own labour in the Royal Navy. I'm delighted his tenants my remain, that Caroline will be subdued and that Daventry & Cavendish will support him. Lady Kendall's estate still remains intriguingly unannounced and I wonder what the king has in mind for Alexander. Thank you John. Thank you.
