I remember very well the huge old cinemas in my home town. They had names like the Alhambra, the Metro and the Colloseum. We used to throw peanuts from the top circle to people down below. Fond memories.

I think Bill will manage the change to digital in the 2000s. I hope so. A super chapter with an insightful look into cinema and film history, almost as a representation of societal change generally. Thank you.

Yes. That idea of everything instantly available is very real in job continuity as well. Job hopping is described by some of my younger staff as desirable on a CV as it shows adaptability. Of course the notion of loyalty is sadly archaic.

What a super start to the story. I'm glad I've held onto it for a few months because now I get fo read the next 10 chapters. It's really like the clear descriptions of the men, their family and their home. It allows the imagination to run a bit.
